Beautiful, and I'd blame the fly that landed on Stefan J's hand at 1:59, causing him to crack a note. Would've distracted me!
I play tuba, but I still gotta hand the medal to the French horns, the instrument is truly the most beautiful
Is it possible to “like” this video about 45 times? This is one of the most beautiful horn pieces I’ve heard. Why hasn’t this been arranged for Horns before? Sarah Willis, Stefan Dohr, Stefan J, Andrej, Georg, and Johannes, you guys are by FAR my favorite Horn section. If I had an opportunity to study with any of you all I’d be honored. It would be the experience of a lifetime!
Thanks so much dear @stephenoverstreet9898!
Shout out to Stefan for taking that last note up an octave
Oh thank god the rest of us mortals don't Have to!!!😎
I have been such a fan of Sarah Willis and the Berlin Philharmonic horn section for years! I am a charter member of the IHS 1969/70 when it was formed at Florida State University, with Barry Tuckwell as our 1st president.. In all the years since then, I have yet to hear a section that was the equal to Berlin....even when members come and go. Always the best
Sounds so good together! Please keep making MUSIC & MAGIC LIKE THIS!😅

I love hearing French horns in tuba registers. More of a reason I want to play one. I should’ve got my hands on one of then young
An ocean of velvet!!!!!!
One of my favorites and it sits so beautifully on the horn! What a fabulous section.
Just love the sound of French horns Played well!!!
I really enjoy these kinds of videos. Thanks for sharing them! Nothing beats the Berlin horns, you guys are just so talented
Ich liebe diese Pavane von Fauré ganz besonders und Sie haben mir damit eine sehr große Freude gemacht. Vielen Dank!
Beautifully played and videotaped
So beautiful, this is such good medicine for me. Years ago when a guitar student I played an arr. of the Ravel Pavane - so similar - but I see this is not Ravel
This makes me wish I still had my French Horn from my high school days.
What an incredible perfomance
No words 😮
awesome, thanks for posting!

Not Ravel but Fauré !
Estasi assoluta!!!

is there anywhere to purchase the sheet music for this arrangement???
Forgive me for this, but... isn't this the Pavane by Fauré?
It is, indeed.
It sure is!
It sure is! Good catch! 🙏

It's not Ravel who composed the Pavane as it's written.

6 minutes de video pour les 5 hommes, quelques secondes pour la femme, et encore, pas vraiment.
Yes, I also noticed this! But even though the cameraman didn’t want to show Sarah till the end, we heard her glorious low notes all through! Thanks to all the players - and Stefan for giving us a perspective on ‘ending on a high note’!
Sweeeet!!!
