Can we please give Mr. Campbell his credit and due for saving the Bond franchise TWICE from going off the rails? Goldeneye and Casino Royale really grounded the movie back to what we love and appreciate from the timeless British spy.
And he has siad that he's open to direct Bond 26 if it ever happens. Then they seriously should bring him back or even have him direct more Bond movies. His style and vision for the movies is just incredible
At 78, possibly 80 before we get the movie in production, question is would he want to? As much as Craig is my Bond, i think Spectre should have been his last, as I knew NTTD would be a flop with a ridiculous conclusion. Would have left more room. Hopefully age is just a number though and hes up for it, otherwise Sam Mendez again.
The protégé was really good. Extremely underrated . Directed 2 of the greatest bond films of all time. Would love for him to come back to direct a 3rd.
Martin Campbell is a legend rebooting bond twice he should the next one with the new bond and I love the zorro movies and the foreigner amazing and edge of darkness was brilliant too both a mini series and film
Edited down: Quite enjoyed the interview with Campbell but he, like unfortunately so many thinks comic books equal capes/tights. That's just not true. I'm 100% certain there are multiple comic adaptations that would fit him like a glove. Somebody hand this man a Velvet Deluxe Edition. Perhaps too close to Bond but man....

Yes, i totally agree martin campbell saved the james bond franchise with "Goldeneye" and " Casino Royale" we need him again for bond 26.

For me, Martin Campbell should direct the next re-boot Bond after Daniel Craig. Great action director and clearly would be the one for the job.

His work on Bond is totally overrated. And so are the modern Bond movies from Goldeneye and onwards. The series lost its soul sadly.
