Onyx isn’t confused at all. He’s aware and taking it all in from the moment he stepped in. As a 1 year old I wouldn’t expect him to have a huge reaction, he loves what you were able to put together for him for sure and him being aware is a testament to his intelligent and growth. His reaction is perfect. He's taking it in and realizing that it's all his. That's how little ones are. At some point, he'll go around and say, "Wow!" if he's already talking. That's how my 1-year-old daughter reacted when she saw her new room. She quietly walked around and touched a few things. Then later on she went around touching things around her room and said, "wooow" to everything.

That chalk paper you have to pull that paper off slowly and smooth as you go along once you put a piece on the wall where you want it. I was going to suggest buying letters and spell his name over his bed. Put the plaques in btw window. Move his bookshelf over so the TV plug is not seen so he doesn’t pull on the cord. The learning wall decor put together and bring down add small desk and chair. Room is nice. Love the theme. I agree with most who suggested putting dresser in closet. (It also comes in black)
Great job decorating Onyx's room! Your excitement shows how much you were invested in making this room perfect. Just a suggestion. Add a waterproof toddler mattress cover to your wishlist. He will for sure wet that bed - bathroom mishap or a spilled bottle/cup. You can toss the sheets in the washing machine, but you can't toss the mattress in there. The waterproof mattress cover will extend the lifespan of his mattress. I'd suggest getting one for your bed as well. And although he hasn't touched it yet, I would get in the habit of always keeping all medicines - his and yours - in a bin/box up high and away from his sight. My sister-in-law stores all medicines in her closet. Even at 9 and 11, my nephews know the medicine box is for their parents to touch only. And now that Onyx is walking, make sure cleaning supplies and what not that you would typically store under the bathroom or kitchen sink are secured and kept out of his reach.
The little pictures with the animals would look great in those gold picture frames and it will make it easy to dust them. The babies room is beautiful!❤❤❤

Get a cover for his mattress. That way when he’s potty training and has a accident, there are no stains on the mattress

It's not a good idea to put something that a child can climb onto underneath a window. That elevation can lead to falls and other injuries.
