Communication is the important thing. The problem here is not as simple as you think. STY lost the locker room control. Yes he’s a legend. But If you’re not Indonesian that’s fine maybe u didn’t hear anything about it since all the interviews/debate about this issue are in the Indonesian Language. But let me tell you once again, STY lost the locker room control. There are internal conflicts between him and another player. You should watch Erick Thohir’s interview on Liputan 6 for more context. He only wants to protect the team and the players. But I didn’t know if there was an English sub or not. Do some research please.
I can’t tell who has worse football fans, India or Indonesia. Both countries aren’t good at all compared to global standards, yet if you heard their fans you’d think they were Brazil and Argentina 💀
Bulgaria has basically the worst fans - We praise someone when we win, but if we lose, we treat them like how Barca treated Luis Figo after joining Real Madrid.
The Federation are maybe planning to build Dutch's E team with 26 Dutch born players in the squad and Dutch coach. I guess they never care about developing local players/fix the grassroots.
I can assure you this is 100% politics. The old PSSI guys who brought our football to the dark ages in the first place are in a way still pulling the strings behind the curtain. Now that our football is good again, those guys ofc want to get back in power. The problem with those guys, they are too hands-on with everything and they saw STY as an adversary, a very great adversary to get rid of as he's not a yes-man who caters to their demand. So they pressured Thohir into firing STY using the recent AFF failure bs and brought the yes-man they always wanted to replace STY with. It doesn't take less than a day after his firing, Nurdin Halid (the old PSSI commisioner) made an appearance in national TV shitting on STY, thinking he's overrrated as a coach as in his own words, "STY still hasn't made single progress" at coaching our national team and whatnots. If that doesn't sound like politically motivated to you then i don't know what else does. And i won't be surprised if anything goes snowball, Thohir might be the next man out, and those guys might be back calling the shots for PSSI. For you Americans out there, just imagine Jim Harbaugh-49ers debacle years ago but add it with more politics and intrigues, that would be just as the same as what Indonesian NT are experiencing at the moment.
This is an unexpected and certainly sad piece of news. STY (Shin Tae-yong) had become like a hero of Indonesian football, taking Indonesia from a ranking of ~170 to ~120, helping to improve Indonesian football from its "dark era." Although STY didn't win any major trophies, such as failing in the AFF Cup or the U-23 Asian Cup, progress and achievement aren't solely about trophies. The national team qualified for the Asian Cup, even reaching the Round of 16, advanced to the semifinals of the U-23 Asian Cup, defeating Australia and South Korea there, and qualified for the third round of the World Cup qualifiers, successfully holding their own against strong Asian football nations beyond the AFF level, like Australia and Saudi Arabia. These are all historical achievements that should be appreciated, a form of progress made thanks to STY. We should respect STY as one of the heroes of Indonesian football. However what's done is done. We can't dwell on the past; it won't improve the situation and could even worsen it. What we must do is continue to pray for the national team because, remember, it's the national team we support! Many people are still doubtful about Patrick Kluivert. Being a good player doesn't automatically make someone a good coach. His performance as a coach hasn't been stellar, and he has even been involved in controversial cases. There's nothing we can do but hope and pray for the national team. We must accept what has happened; it is what it is. Besides, we must give someone a chance. There are some factors Contributing to Coach Success: * Changes in the club's environment and culture. * The right player selection. * Adapted strategies and tactics. * Support from the club owners and fans. * Experience and learning from past mistakes. The success of a football coach isn't only determined by technical ability but also by other factors such as adaptability, communication, and support. One piece of positive news is Alex Pastoor as assistant coach. He is said to be an experienced coach in the Dutch League and also a highly regarded football analyst who earned the title "Professor," which is expected to provide more optimism. Regardless of all this, I'm sure PSSI has their considerations. Qualifying for the World Cup is the dream of all Indonesians, From all walks of life, whether civil servant or private, rich or poor, football is one of the greatest unifiers. If they fail, PSSI will definitely face the consequences. PSSI should be aware of this risky choice. If PSSI wanted to play it safe, they could have just let STY continue coaching, and if they failed, the biggest blame would certainly fall on STY as the coach. The circulating issue regarding the reason for STY's dismissal is the locker room problem after the game against Bahrain. According to PSSI, the idea of terminating the contract has been there since the loss against China. Of course, it wasn't explicitly stated to maintain professional ethics. What the real case is, only they and God know. I don't think anyone would want to destroy themselves by admitting such a fatal thing. Is this just a "dark alibi" of PSSI? Or a problem that the coaching staff has always tried to cover up? So I think this issue will remain an issue. But the silver lining for STY is that he left when people liked him. He had a positive final impression, so people will more easily remember him as a hero. Imagine if he had failed; he might not have received treatment as bad as in Korea, where he was pelted with eggs, but he would still have left a disappointing final impression.
"Or a problem that the coaching staff has always tried to cover up? So I think this issue will remain an issue." not covered up anymore, go see Marc Klok testimony, bet another player will gave their own testimony as well

You’re goddam stupid. Do some research. STY lost the locker room control. I bet u never heard anything since all the debates/news in the Indonesian language. He’s a hero for sure but why keep continuing if you lost the locker room control? What is it for? Erick Thohir the president of PSSI thinks about the decision actually from the previous match against China. There are internal conflicts in the team before and after the match. And this is because of how STY handles the team and also because of the tactical. Don’t u know that the captain, Jay Idzes, asks all the players to join in a ‘secret’ meeting before the match against Saudi? This is one of the proof the coach lost the locker room. it turn out Kim was supposed to be sacked if Vietnam failed to made it to the final. VFF seriously did that after having won NONE of their matches in 2024. koreans have been carrying this federation so hard without them we'd be collapsed.
@AVietnameseWanderingAround I mean, not many would mind if we sacked Kim if Vietnam could not make the final. His tactics were questionable for most of the tournament, mostly "any-striker-on-the-field, do ur magic". However, the 2 finals against Thailand was truely a Kim Sang-sik masterclass.
@@nkwan4848 we all know Vietnam need a serious rebuild, and even if Kim failed, it’s reasonable. The first 3 matches would be shambolic should we look at anywhere outside the scoreboard: being overrun by Laos’ midfield until 60th minute, struggling against Indonesia U21s, nearly lose against the Philippines. Rafaelson turned this tournament around for us, and for me that’s a great thing - VFF wouldn’t give Kim chance to rebuild Vietnam NT, and the AFF title just shoot him up to divine level. Now he can field Vietnam U17s against Laos and Nepal and nobody would give a damn. Not saying that’s a great thing, but Kim Sang-sik have owned the rights to shape Vietnam into something else. Troussier tried to shape Vietnam too early with barely any public support, combined with his sh*t man management and the fact that Vietnam have to play mostly stronger teams during his tenure (except for, idk, Kyrgyzstan and Indonesia Asian Cup squad?). This nation speak by the result and don’t give a damn about all those “trusting the process” sh*t. Which would be great for a big footballing nation, not us.

On the serious note alongside your view at 7:06, there were some views that said some leader of some organisations in Indonesia, maybe including ET, wants to make his own legacy. STY was not appointed by ET’s administration (Iwan Bule’s administration iirc), so probably ET thought that the national team will be successful with his picked national team manager, instead of retaining the previous-picked manager. There were some views that ET wanted to be PSSI president as his leverage to higher political position (as he was and is current minister and almost be a vice-president candidate). ET is now betting with his popularity, if the national team is successful, his popularity will be rising and have some chance on 2029 election. If his “move” fails, he’ll probably be done. ET was favoured in PSSI election hoping to fix many Indonesian football problems (national teams, leagues, development, women’s footballs, Kanjuruhan case, etc) but now everything looks messier than ever before and likely nothing will be goodly fixed Indonesian football will probably be dragged into darker age. 2:30. Okay. I know it's off-topic, but i just cannot resist the need to tell a bunch of anecdotes from the time Patrick Kluivert was appointed sporting director of PSG. Just to give a little taste of the man. First, he was hired after him and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi met on a TV-board, Nasser appointed him as sporting director for the sole reason that he thought his players needed someone to respect. He did this without telling Olivier Letang, the current sports director, who learned about this 15 minutes before it was officially announced. Kluivert then hoped in a car brought by the club a few days later, met someone in the car, and presented himself as the new sporting director of PSG... Except the person he was talking to was Thomas Meunier, at that point, a starter for PSG, and somehow didn't had a clue. Once, he tried to organize an off-season friendly against AC Milan, as he knew someone who used to work in Milan's board. So he called him, asked if he was cool with it, and when everything was agreed on, nothing happened, because his contact worked for AS Roma at this point. Somehow, Kluivert never realized it. After Unaï Emery arrived, he was litteraly caught playing candy Crush on his phone while the coach was giving a pre-match speech. Safe to say that they didn't had great relations. Once, Emery asked him to find a left back, he manages to find an agreement with Wolfsburg for Ricardo Rodriguez, everything is pretty much done, but then he goes on vacation in the Netherlands, cut his phone for the whole period, and the transfer just doesn't happen. And somehow, Indonesia thought it was a good idea to hire this guy, as a coach.

As a south korean, I should say this situation is really not understandable. Politics and language barrier aside, what were you guys thinking that sacking a manager that brought a team that weren't even close to the world cup nor the asian cup and brought Indonesia all the way to asian cup round 16, managed to go toe to toe with the likes of Australia and Saudi arabia, two of the prestigious asian football countries, brought a team that was the lowest in fifa ranking all the way to 3rd in asian qualifiers. And you come and say "Oh but with a Netherlands coach we could soar high up in the skies. Sty lost control in the locker room so he deserves to be sacked." With a precedent set up this high i'm REALLY looking forward for a result better than sty would ever bring with kluivert lol. As a country that had a LOT of problems with our football association with our management being one of the worst in history, this years PSSI kinda resembles ourselves. With a spice of more betrayal. Overall since there are no results from the new management my take was just speculation so might as well speculate one more time. You guys are cooked almost as much as we are :)
I was shocked when I heard Alex Pastoor was coming to Indonesia, he is the best tactical analyst in The Netherlands now, even better than Ruud Gullit and Marco Van Basten. Some Feyenoord fans really admire him, they even said Pastoor was 2nd best manager after Arne Slot. How did Indonesia manage to get him I still don't know.
Deep inside we know there's a big chance we aren't going to qualify, so to anticipate that we just change the coach and blame him if we loose. problem solved.
As an Indonesian, STY's dismissal is the most unpopular decision among supporters. I mean, his dismissal was heavily influenced by corrupt groups within the federation. Plus the "football influencers" who sold their souls to attack STY despite his achievements. We're done. Honestly, we'll go back to the mediocrity. Kluivert is a big name and will attract big players and respect from the team in general. No player is going to switch allegiances to Indonesia to play for Alex Pastoor. It’s the exact same with Como last season. Osian Roberts is the “Assistant”, Cesc is the “Manager” (who just so happens to play the exact same brand of football that Osian Roberts wants to play and has played before). Como wouldn’t be able to attract players like Varane if they knew that they’d be working under Osian Roberts.

At this point, you should make a whole section in your channel called "Maqwell clowns on Indonesia"
You're might into something, or you do
Because I did saw or hear around bit that Thohir is defo likely to be booted next
I mean, it's worse than Bob Nutting and Chunichi's management, bud.
There are some factors Contributing to Coach Success:
* Changes in the club's environment and culture.
* The right player selection.
* Adapted strategies and tactics.

And Erick only wants to protect the team and their dreams.

What the fuck are u saying dude
Dictatorial federations suck
Even de boer have better CV than this brother..Dude what they fu ck are they doing

With a precedent set up this high i'm REALLY looking forward for a result better than sty would ever bring with kluivert lol.
Pssi's management is the same as psg's.
@BURZUMY3ah at least psg actually won something
Not only that we sack the most successful football coach in Indonesia's history, we sack another successful coach, this one is men's badminton coach.
Thank u Indonesia for making our roadto26 so much more bearable for me. RIP Indonesia 😂😂
Lowkey I thought this would be another Man United video when looking at the title
Bruh this guy is crazy. The hate for an entire country is very insane.
0:23 isn't that monaco
Monaco and indonesia have the same flag
@@AbdullahAkil-sq9ir monaco's flag is less wide
colors are lighter on indonesia i think @@AbdullahAkil-sq9ir
@@AbdullahAkil-sq9irmonaco has a smaller size flag and has darker red and that flag you see is indeed a monaco flag
Deep inside we know there's a big chance we aren't going to qualify, so to anticipate that we just change the coach and blame him if we loose. problem solved.
This insta played when I woke up and I almost died

I can't really tell this country as Indonesia anymore dawg. Its literally Dutch East Indies 2.0 😂😂😂😂😂
U GLAZED US And then start shittin on us now great timing
As an Indonesian, STY's dismissal is the most unpopular decision among supporters. I mean, his dismissal was heavily influenced by corrupt groups within the federation. Plus the "football influencers" who sold their souls to attack STY despite his achievements. We're done. Honestly, we'll go back to the mediocrity. The PSSI head of chief is just a knobhead, he did it for political popularity.
chill its just football. if we lose we lose. thats it nothing happen
In the past we had politics ruined football today we had a business man ruin football 😂
if i where other SEA county I would sign this man ASAP and get his revenge
Same, I would LOVE to have STY for us (since he's definitely KPG 2nd to me lol), but we already have Peter Cklamovski, so yeah huhuhu
Alex Pastoor is quite a good tactician. If Kluivert listens to him you guys will be alright.
Ive never been this early for a Maqwell video! I was also suprised upon hearing the sacking of Shin Tae Young....
I think its a political move by the PSSI Chairman, while another reason is that theres the Dutch proximity between the coaching staff and the Dutch heritage players...
But then again, i agree with u that its risky for such an appointment
As an Indonesian my opinion is I don't really care, if Patrick can get the Indonesian u23 team into the 26 world cup I'm all for it but if he doesn't well at least we tried
ETH? I thought one source the guy and Louis Van Gall were considered for the position
RvN can come too, he is available now haha
@@seb2750RvN I think already in Leicester or I could be wrong
as an Indonesia i agree sacking manager in the middle of worldcup qualifier is really ahhhhhh, so vietnam friends which already at home please pray for US
Indonesian Football Federation Chairman also happens to own mass media which he uses to convince the gullible Indonesian public that this is a wonderful decision
@@richhornie7000 every absolutist leaders would love to have a citizen like gullible Indonesian peoples
I'm Indonesian, and I'm sad that Indonesia really becomes Netherland's C team, yes, C , not B
the s in pssi stands for shit. yet they got two of them. what a joke country and joke federation
its so literally a dice role to recruit dutch speaking naturalised dutch players lmao
Oil up, Maxwell
Grow up
someone like maqwell, talk football like he know something.
The short answer to your question in your thumbnail...yes. 🇮🇩 for the first time in a long while has a legitimate shot at qualifying for a WC, and their FA does this? This reeks of internal politics.
Yes. The asshole that runs PSSI is a politician trying to become the new president of Indonesia.
So this is nothing more than a PR stunt to gain popularity for when the election come.
Maxwell gay 😀👍
maqwell straight 😀👍
Maqwell gay
And let's not forget that the jinx is still here for Maqwell. Indonesia can still qualify for the World Cup with Patrick Kluivert once he uploaded this bad favour video!
I watched it all the way through, and here’s my conclusion: you don’t get it at all. You might know and read everything, but you totally don’t understand a single thing.
As usual, whatever you say about the Indonesian national team means nothing.
Mirisnya fans teyong malah seneng sama video ini, negara sndiri dihina direndahkan begini mereka malah seneng. Tolol emg si pemuja STY
No one believe in us, but we believe it!
The cope is insane
The cope is real .
prove him wrong brother, the whole world is watching
Erick Thohir just wanting vice presidential nominee for the next election as their targets, he doesn’t give a two shits about Indonesia football
As a south african who loves asean football this was so stupid
as an indonesian, i also think this is so stupid
@@fathonifirmansyah9312 agree if indo does not qualify automatically or 4th round we know who to blame
