  • Russia’s war against Ukraine and the Israel-Gaza conflict have highlighted the risks of instability around the world amidst increasing divergences in norms and interests. More broadly, countries from different regions are establishing new defence industrial partnerships to mitigate procurement and manufacturing challenges, as well as collaborate on defence innovation and development. The reverberations of potential flashpoints in the Asia-Pacific will likely be felt globally. This session discussed the interlinkages of security across diverse regions, such as Europe, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific, by exploring existing and future challenges, and how these can be best mitigated.
