    19:20 how do you know how much pressure should be applied on that case? And how to know which type of hyperelastic model correspond to which material?

    Great! Thank you for sharing your experience! this video is helpful. But I have a question: the volume of O-ring has decreased. Why? Is it correct for real world physics problem?

    Nice video! I didn’t understand what you said about the pressure you were applying while coding, is it 1 bar?

    • @redmoon2615
      @redmoon2615  2 роки тому

      No, it’s 1MPa. The default pressure dimension in the command is MPa. Sorry for my awful pronunciation

    Hi @Redmoon. I have a small doubt. There in the APDL commands in the ESEL command line you have taken cid_1 as the material ID. Where can I find the ID for the material I have considered?

    Hi! Thank you for this useful video. It's great! But I haven't got it: why the fluid pressure is set by ADPL commands and no by loads in GUI of Ansys?

    • @redmoon2615
      @redmoon2615  2 роки тому

      As far as I know, the pressure loads in Workbench cannot simulate the fluid situation.So the APDL is used. Maybe the new version of ANSYS can do that 🤔

      I split the edge of oring into four parts in SpaceClaim module. You can try this.

    Hi, thank you for this tutorial, I met a problem when I tried to set 2D behavior to axisymmetric the box became yellow, I had set the geometry 2D and put the 2D model in XYplane, would you please help me on this, many thanks ahead!

    • @dodgewang700
      @dodgewang700 2 роки тому

      OK I know where I messed up. It looks like axisymmetric is specific to y-axis, I misplace the 2D model and y-axis goes across the model, workbench can't generate rotation body😅

    • @dodgewang700
      @dodgewang700 2 роки тому

      In Ansys 2020R2, details of symmetric needs to be activated manually. In Project Schematic layout, go to tools-options-appearance and enable beta options

    Hello, I have one problem. When I create surface from sketches than o ring and piston becomes one surface. When o ring is not in touch with piston than only it becomes as a different surface. Why is it like this ?

    • @redmoon2615
      @redmoon2615  2 роки тому

      Sorry I don’t get you. In my case, o-ring and piston are individual surface but overlapping. You can just directly create these two parts from sketch one by one.

      @@kunalsinghal7527 Actually I created this 2d model in SolidWork but I think designModuler can make it too. Or you can use SpaceClaim. Parts created in different sketch surfaces are apart by default.

      @@redmoon2615 Thanks for the information. I did that in design moduler. I created three sketch in xy plane. After that I created surface from sketches. When I keep circle as tangent to the groove, it is fine. But when I keep circle as intersecting the groove, than only one surface is generated combining piston and o-ring. Did you use interference fit in it ?
