  • Prismatic Right-Angle Weave, or as it is more commonly known, PRAW, is just a fancy umbrella term for Right-Angle Weave that indicates it can be made with various units per row and it's still the same stitch.
In our PRAW tube, I could have made a tube with 3 units around and it would create a triangle shape. If I used 4 units around it would create a square shape. A tube with 5 units around (my personal preference) is pentagon-shaped. They're all Prismatic Right-Angle Weave!
Here's how to stitch the stitch!

So basically, PRAW is any dimensional RAW other than flat or cubic (CRAW) ? Thanks for sharing this tutorial with your tips and tricks! It's wonderful that crochet and knitting tools often facilitate other crafts like bead weaving, leather and wire work.😀 (In fact, my first lucet was actually 2 steel crochet hooks rubber banded to a spare asthma inhaler 😄) It's so satisfying when our crafting occurs at the intersection of art and engineering 😁

I agree! And things you learn from one craft can often spur ideas or help for another craft. I actually started this UA-cam channel after teaching myself how to knit from a UA-cam channel and realizing it would be a great medium to teach!

That was such a good explanation of the various kinds of RAW. I also like the idea of making it flat and then joining it up.

I have heard Praw is a good way to "ease" into perfecting Craw. Not sure how true that is, but, it encourages me to try this stitch, so I am going to go with it!😀

Love your bracelet. And what a great idea for dowels using bamboo knitting needles. I enjoyed your demonstration. And now I must rush to your site to grab some of the 3mm pink beads. Love the color and putting them with the Toho elevens is brilliant. You are just a wealth of information! Thank you for sharing. 🌸

I proof all the videos before they are released to make sure you're not missing anything critical if my hands go off camera. It's very hard to bead in that small space!

OMG. I have seen so many people teach this wrong where it shows the the thread. I have been going across where you said not to and I see why now. Jill you are the best teacher for beading. I love your videos.
