Having seen her live in London at her Drury Lane concert believe me when I say its an experience that you'll cherish forever and is an absolute must do on any bucket list, also if you ever get the chance to meet her in person also take that chance she's such a humble and lovely young lady.
Great reaction as always. I totally agree that with the covers Lucy is always true to the original so doesn’t stray too far from the original version and doesn’t show off the full capabilities of her voice, but here we are seeing Lucy Thomas Unleashed. It’s her song so she can do whatever she wants with it and boy does she do a great job. Her transitions, tone and vibrato in this song are different level and I think this song is good enough to appeal to all generations, which I think is important to help her grow a fan base with younger people. Happy new year ❤
Actually I think some of her covers have been quite different from the original versions notably her renowned version of Hallelujah, her version of Wind Beneath My Wings is sang in a much lighter tone than Bette Midler and Whiter Shade Of Pale couldn't be anymore different than Procol Harum although it obviously takes influence from Annie Lennox's cover. I agree though that this feels like Lucy's true breakthrough song which should with any justice put her more into the mainstream industry conscience, however it will require getting the right promo and exposure beyond online platforms.
Thank you for that reaction. What a fabulous singer. Never in my life have I heard someone sing so well. It's perfection from the first note to the last. In fact, she doesn't need any unnecessary gymnastics to hide flaws because she has no flaws. And in concert, she can sing for 2 hours like that, without a false note, proof that she needs no correction or artificial system. No wonder she's such a hit on all the social networks. She deserves it.
Thank you for a great reaction to Lucy Thomas singing an original, standalone pop song ‘Don’t Walk Away’ composed and produced by Chris Broom. The song won the UK Songwriters Contest in the Love Song category for 2024. Chris has also written Rosie - the Musical that is to have its premiere this year in 2025. Additionally, Chris owns Cavendish Records that produced Lucy’s first five albums and the Rosie - the Musical preview album. Lucy has a few other original songs on her channel from Rosie and ‘A Brand New Day’ that is the theme song for an upcoming new TV show. On this song, we hear Lucy interpreting a love song that is not part of a musical and has never been heard before. Lucy starts softly and delicately but soon shows sadness and desperation as she pleads with her love to not go. Her expressions and gestures only make her vocals more moving and powerful. Lucy is once again phenomenal with pitch perfect singing, incredible technique, and stunning vocal choices to bring the song alive! It is STUNNING! Lucy is the best singer that I have ever heard and from personal experience, she is much, much better live! This should be her rise to recognition. Thank you both again for your wonderful reaction!
Thanks for supporting the amazing Lucy! This song is so beautiful, I think one of my absolute favorites now! This should be all over the radio, and has over 100,000 views in 1 day.! Lucy is magical and has one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard.
Thank you for your complimentary reaction!! Lucy deserves those kind words. She delivers it so beautifully. I woke up with the tune in my head!!. What an impression Lucy makes. More people should hear her.
What can you say! stunning song written by Chris and magically brought to life by Lucy. This is Lucy's first pop ballad "original" song. As you noted, the song won first place in the U.K. Songwriter Contest, in the "Love Song" category. This is a very prestigious contest and a huge deal in the U.K. All sorts of music industry titans are involved with this contest so the song will definitely get recognition. And naturally the song and Lucy are tied at the hip so Lucy will get the same recognition that she sooooooo deserves. This could be her break out song.
Lucy could sing the Burger King menu and I would probably tear up. She is so beautiful and that voice is second to non that I have ever heard in my life time.
Hi Guys. Man this song is just so sad but at the same time so beautiful. Every person that hears this song you can see the sadness in their eyes. All these emotions can only be brought out by watching Lucy sing this song. This is so wonderfully done by Lucy. Shoutout to her producer and mentor Chis Broom for this masterpiece. My sincere hope is this song puts Lucy on the top of the charts and gives her the recognition that she deserves for all her hard work and fulfills her life dreams. What a voice and talent Lucy has. Thank you guys for the amazing reaction and more to the point for your support of Lucy. She is definitely a point of light in these crazy times. Please stay safe healthy and free. Jim
Lucy's vocal, covers such a wide spectrum, from contempary pop through classical crossover to jazz, country and even classic rock. There are a of of producers of other artist who after listening to this masterpiece, would love to have a veto to block her from the mainstream musical world because they know she would blow a lot of these other pretenders into the grass.
Exactly if this song goes mainstream; Sabrina Carpenter, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and even Adele can all kiss their arses goodbye because none of those have Lucy's vocal capabilities neither technically or emotionally. Lucy is the greatest female singer since Whitney Houston only she is actually even better then the late great Whitney if you ask me.
@@adamknight7041Yep, we're on the same page when making such comparisons between the majority of the latest female pop singers. Lucy can add the occasional vocal gymnastics, as she does here a couple of times but it's proportional, unlike Ms Carey who insists on belting out a whole scale, when one note will do, is very annoying to my ear!
Wow pretty much sums it up from me as well! Thx for getting to this one!! Chris Broom is proving to be one heck of a songwriter - add Lucy's elite voice and talents and you get magic. Look for this combo to continue. Happy New Year!
Lucy showes here what wonderful unique vocalist she is and a performer in perfection.👍👏 Her expression showes a real heartache and pain to fight for a deep love❤ Hope this will be played in radio too here in 🇩🇪 Love yr reaction always..and wish you happy new year🎉
Just to clarify that this song will not feature in Rosie - The Musical. It is a stand alone pop ballad written by Chris Broom specifically to showcase Lucy’s vocal talents. It is an outstanding piece of pop music and deserved the success it has achieved. It also deserves to be the song that launches Lucy to a wider audience and recognition.
Thanks for playing Lucy's Music her voice is like cupids arrow it goes straight to the heart you might like to hear her singing broken dreams another Chris Broom song from the show ROSIE
If you count this one she has 6 originals on her site this one, 4 from Rosie the new musical written for her and "Brand New Day" the theme song for a tv show still to be aired, the song is really good and Lucy knocks it out of the park well worth listening to.
Hoping it gets the Air time it deserves here in the uk fantastic song and the vocals of course from lucy is flawless and you have to have the right singer to give it justice and boy she did that great reaction guys 🔥👑
Great reaction Ryan and Cindy! I can't believe how Lucy's voice just gets richer and richer. This performance sounds like a James Bond movie theme to me. Cindy, I got the "gooseys" and the trembles. Ryan, I have heard that the background voice is indeed Lucy's voice. For what I believe to be All Lucy Thomas earlier ORIGINAL solos, check out: "STARLIGHT"; "SUDDENLY"; "BROKEN DREAMS"; "GENTLE BREEZE"; "WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD"; "BRAND NEW DAY"; and "ONE DAY" on Lucy's UA-cam channel LUCY THOMAS MUSIC. I believe all were written by Chris Broom. Enjoy! Hopelessly Addicted in Arizona
This is the award winning song by Chris Broom sung by the best vocalist on Earth. Lucy's voice is always perfect, but I have to hand it to Chris Broom -- his lyrics and melodies for "Rosie the Musical" have always been exceptional, but this song may be his very best yet, perhaps even his best ever. This is, however, an original pop love song, and as you now know, it is FANTASTIC! No adult on Earth hasn't experienced the feelings conveyed in this song.
Hello Cindy and Ryan another amazing reaction to Lucy Thomas's New video it never seems to amaze me how Lucy can project her emotions in her voice --- Sean (UK) x
Always enjoy your reactions to Lucy. Hoping and looking forward to your reactions to her singing the songs from the Musical she will be doing in March. Will certainly be buying tickets to it.
I didn't think that you would take too long to find this new song of hers. It is yet another excellent job done by her. There are very few songs that she does not touch the listener in one way or another. A cover that she did a while ago now is the song "Run". She actually sang it twice; as a 15 year old and as a10 year old! Both are very good so you might find them interesting, maybe combine them in one reaction? Just a suggestion. Still hoping that you will listen to one or more of those songs from the Danish girls choirs I sent a while back. They did their usual Christmas concert and blew me away with some of their songs, some again in English. I do think you might like them, and they might be worth the time. Keep up the good work

One day Lucy may break into the mainstream music scene but for me her forte is Musical Theatre, she should be appearing in Broadway or the likes off. Take care, Barbara.

She's got it. Show us even more lucy. Go on Lucy, even give us a pop song. We know it will be fantastic.

The combination of Chris Brooms lyrics and Lucys talent has once again produced a masterpiece!
Well said 👏
Makes one think that Chris knew what he was doing when he signed Lucy to a recording contract at the age of 14. Lol 😅
