I feel like every relationship where Mer was initially mean turned into her best and funniest relationships. She was rude as hell to Lexi, they became the sweetest sister duo. She didn't really dislike Amelia until Derek died but after working on her grief, they have become each other's shoulder. Lastly Jo, she dogged her🤣 but they truly have the best relationship growth. Jo is her sister and they are hilarious together.

i think the reason why they became enemies to besties is because jo is like lexie but more rough and harder to get through (like meredith) and also meredith hated lexie at first but then loved her like the most. jo is like a more meredith version of lexie

Jo had to stand up for her own self and it was good, plus S12 when Mer was attacked by patient Jo understood the dainamic friendship between Mer and Alex plus she later stand up for herself
I loved their friendship, but its sad how after Alex left, they both kinda stopped talking and never really discussed about what happened

that sure would be nice! Jo and Mer had both terrible childhoods in their on way and were both let down several times by people they loved, and both chose to turn that sad story into energy to heal people. When Jo was having that depression episode and Mer wouldn't leave her side, IMO Mer stayed because she rarely had people by her side when she was going through something but she saw how good that made her feel after she'd let people in. They have each other's backs, like Cristina and Mer used to do. Yeah, I can totally see Jo becoming Mer's new "person".
