Same here man. I use the 15 min ORB & then tried to rush into predicting the next move. But, I slowed down and waited for confirmation I've gotten better
@teambulltrading Helped me to be patient. I even started marking off the high and the low of that first 30-minute candle. It gave me a strategy. The strategy is that after marking it off switch to the 5 minute, and once either the high or low is broken from that 30minute candle you will get a $2 move or better accept for the day we are range bound.

Interesting! I love these stairstep up and elevator down structures.. my best trade of the day was a buy of 1 0DTE $563 put at 11:42am for $1.94 & sell at 11:45am for $2.89. A 48% trade.. it was great execution. And I ended the day up $180 total on my $1k account.. trading 1 contract at a time, following the plan

I love it! My advice to you is to stick to trading 1 contract/stock at a time. I started in 2019 and there were so many things I didn’t even know I didn’t know about the market and trading. Putting on serious size was a mistake for me starting out so new.. Also realize that while JDUN is the GOAT and this trade really happened (I was with him in chat when he hit this winner), it has to take some incredible size to make a trade like this happen. Just focus on those 1-3 contracts per trade. I’ve been trading SPY 0DTE’s and made 4 trades today, all winners between 20%-50%. Baby steps, I only exposed $400 of capital to the market today, which is important for my risk management. This way, I can cast the dollar amount aside and look at the trading metrics objectively.

I’ve been working on looking over my trades in depth from the past three years. I’m not profitable yet. I can tell that most of my losing trades have been me trying to find a reversal, taking the position way too early, and then just getting shredded by the consolidation…. Or worse, I think that I saw reversal when it was actually just a little reprieve. So, it’s training real time for me. I’m only trading with Trent until I can get a little more confident in my skills as a trader. 😂 Following the trend has been easier.
PUTS are absolutely not paying in this market but today was gravy so huge congrats and great eye!!! On a personal note, I favor the long side 80% of the time due to the design of the market and have lost more money shorting then anything else. Charts move up way faster then they go down considering you do not have a catalyst and I speak from personal experience of getting ran over. Like you, I trade for a living so the struggle is real! Also, as a fellow trader let me say you need to slow way down on Monday. Don't give any of this back! 300/day is 85K 600/day is 170K...etc 41,000/day is a wrecked account on the next week. Learned this the hard way! Good way to put it. Was growing my account from $1k to $4k in less than 3 weeks. Now i’m back at $1400 and it was all essentially revenge trading. Didn’t take a loss for 3 weeks straight and couldn’t take a step back after that fourth week of losses. In 2 weeks now my account is back to $1400 but lots of lessons to be learned here. I’m just paying my tuition in losses haha

I started a fresh account with $1000, brought it up to over $4,000 within the month, and then on Halloween day I went into the trading session thinking “How much farther than we go?” I overextended my position and let those 0DTE’s bleed to 0. Really just no risk management in play, I’ve learned from that mistake Luckily, I was withdrawing some profits, so I end up taking about 2K out throughout the month, but yeah.. it was rough
Where you got in puts on the 1st loss, that was the sweet spot (.50 to .618 fib level - very important & where most reversals happen) of that first uptrend leg of the day on the 1min chart. What I do is when I get a trend leg I put my fibs on it immediately so I know where the sweet spot is if we get a pullback.

But I would say the focus isn’t on copying their trades, it’s not like they’re directly giving you callouts. Because you should have your own conviction when you take trades. Better for me being 100% alone during the day trading, and also helps for some confirmation. For instance, like if I see a level, and some other guy in the group has identified that level as well. Has helped me gain confidence as someone who doesn’t really know what they are doing, all the time 🎉

A lot of success in trading comes from the execution, and I’ve bought into a play 20 seconds too late, and it’s already gone. And with options, you aren’t trying to be in the trade more than 10 minutes, so every second actually counts
I am only 1min in i fill like we took the same short setup. but issue was I kinda got in early on QQQ but then I added the failed 482 then took off 70% at 480 cause I had a massive size that I was very uncomfortable with. i will report if we took the same trade
And yes, I took the same trade. My exit was as soon as we flashed 480 on QQQ. I finished the day up 3700, but I should have held the runners. Yesterday, I had turned a $2k day into a $200$ day One SPX trade faked me up . on Monday I had turned a $1k day into a $2k red day and I was going for home run SPX trade so that messed me up mentally and I am not touching SPX unless the size is less than 5% of my BP

I was in qqq and I stopped out because my contracts were deflating 😂 contracts went from 30 to .5 so when they went back to .28 for the 3rd time I said fuck this and sold! 20 mins later those contracts were sitting at 1.8-2.0 I was punching the air 😂
You can easily pull it up on whatever broker you use. Pull up SPY and check the 561 option prices. I just did it on E*Trade they expoded. You really want to check it today or sometime over the weekend before market opens on Monday
Looks my comment got deleted lol but if you log in your broker and pull up the option chain for SPY you can check the price of the contract at any time of the day
It wasn't 30 min, it was about 5 min. Around 8:43 am his time, (10:43 EST) he got 0-DTE 560 put options, which was priced around $0.90/each when he bought it. (Since 1 contract = 100 shares, 1 contract costs $90.) In that 5 min period, SPY dropped about 3.5 points which caused the those puts contracts to explode. If you look at a chart of that 560 put contract, they went up about 3x... from $0.83 to $2.48 (or $83 to $248 per contract). He didn't catch the whole move but caught the majority of it. He said he got in at about $0.90 (or $90 per contract) and sold at about $2.25 (or $225 per contract). I'm assuming he had 180 contracts, give or take. That means his initial position would have been about $16,500... and it went to $41,200 in five mins. That's about a 250% return. What an inspiring trade.
@@6stringsling Thanks for breaking it down. I consider 0 DTE options as gambling not trading. Market can be very volatile intraday during Powell speech so its 50/50 probability of winning or losing. He got lucky with his gamble on 0 DTE options. He never share his losses. Based on this trading I’m sure he must be losing too lol 😂
