- Hi everyone! Here's one of my recordings of the entire MCR reunion show at The Shrine in LA! I flew across the county from New Jersey to see them reunite! I realize how lucky I was to be able to get tickets to this show and how many others missed out. For that reason, I decided to livestream the show on my Instagram for everyone to enjoy. This is not the livestream but a different recording that my amazing boyfriend filmed while I was livestreaming. This concert happened while I was in eating disorder treatment. I almost died from my ed. But the staff promised me if I started eating and taking care of myself they would let me keep my phone the night of the concert so I could watch it in real time. I’m happy to say I did get to watch the concert, and while I’ve still struggled I’ve kept my ed in check.

I will never forget hearing I'm Not Okay for the first time in 2004 when I was 16 and how it changed my world.
I will never forget trying to end my life and choosing this song to go out to three months later.
I'll never forget how that moment sent me on a journey to alternative high schools, multiple arrests, only to culminate in getting my degree top 3% of my class last year.
My clothes may have gone from Hot Topic to Brooks Brothers, but don't let outward appearances fool you. I'm sitting here with tears streaming down my face. To see the band that was so instrumental (heh) in my life and arguably my death at 16, who has unknowingly seen me through the tough stuff that came after back on stage after 15 years. It's absolutely overwhelming.
It may have taken 15 years since I first heard it, but I can finally say it.

Can I just mention how the entire crowd is singing in close to perfect sync??? You know how difficult it is to get a group of 30 to do that, and there is like a thousand of people in that crowd, and they all know when exactly they got to sing the words. Beautiful.
we have been practicing HOPING to god they’d come back for six years.
I’m gonna be super honest guys: just because these fans have their phones out does not mean they weren’t enjoying the show. This was monumental and I would have 100% taken every opportunity to take as many photos and videos so I could relive this moment FOREVER.
Bless you dietshampoo for carrying us with you through this show. Thank you also to bf who recorded it. You both did gods work.
This is the first show they've played in SIX YEARS it would be suched a missed opportunity to NOT record it
You wouldn't really be reliving it though because you won't have actually experienced it properly in the first place. You'd be watching the show through a 4 inch screen instead of really relishing in the whole experience. You don't need a video to "relive" something, that's what memories are for and trust me, the memories would be way better if you weren't holding a phone in the hand for the whole damn thing. I'm all for grabbing a quick 30 second video and a few pictures to commemorate the moment but filming half the show is such a waste of the experience. All those lights, all that sound, all that energy and you're barely paying attention. It's sad.

i remember hearing about their reunion on halloween and i was in the car with a broken arm on the way to the hospital and i started SOBBING and then my mom asked what day it was and i started crying HARDER because this show was ON MY BIRTHDAY. i somehow got tickets and it was the coolest experience of my entire life. i stood in line for over 15 hours on my birthday and i would gladly do it again it was SO FUCKING WORTH IT. best day ever.

Frank had an accident while touring with his band a few years back in which their van was hit by a bus and they were all flown to the hospital in dangerous conditions but they were okay but as a result frank couldn’t be the violent crazy psycho man we all love. But his personality remained!
Gerard Way is a true inspiration of mine, not just through his music but through his artwork and writing. He's truly one of the best minds of our generation, and his legacy will carry on forever. Long live the Killjoys!!

Helena was the first song I heard that got me into MCR, 3 cheers helped me through a classmate's suicide, the first time I had ever experience death on that level... Helena made me cry. I'm not Okay made me cry when the fans started yelling the intro.. singing along with songs I haven't listened to in a while just brought me back. I really hope they do a tour.

Dont feel bad at all! MCR is an amazing band and no matter when you found them, all that matters is you love them! I found them at 14 back in 2004. I think its amazing teens today love them still!!
:) my first concert was MCR, March 15 2007. During the black parade tour. Got to see them again in 2011, with Blink 182. So many memories but damn, I really never thought they'd come back 😭

Prob people who pay a ton to go to shows and get phones shoved on there face from every angle & have it ruined for themselves. Just so dumbasses can record or get video to post for all the people at home who didn't pay or leave their house.

Some were too young to go, some possibly physically disabled or unable to leave their house for others reasons. This particular one was for people with those problems so your comment was just a bit bitchy, don't you think? How about if u couldn't go to see your favourite band live because of financial issues, or injury, or possibly a disability. This is a good for those who can't go for those reasons.

That’s incredibly rude. Gerard had an eating disorder. Not everyone is built skinny. Also, since when does somebody’s appearance mean anything. It’s these kinds of things that break down somebody’s self esteem until they hurt themselves in some way. Whether that’s an eating disorder or things that I would rather not mention. It’s never funny to make fun of somebody for what they look like. I can’t believe I’m explaining this to somebody who is most likely and adult. Seriously, people used to make fun of my appearance and I ended hurting myself. Even Gerard himself said that it is never ever okay to make fun of someone’s weight.

deadass started crying when i heard frank because it became so real. i saw him a few months ago now and hearing that voice and seeing him made it even better.
