Ghislain - It’s nice to know that you feel HAPPY and FREE - Like your beloved student Yuzuru Hanyu. And thank you for being such a loving and supportive coach-friend for Yuzu. “Direction, Alignment and Rhythm”… That’s the key to beautiful jumps and - maybe to life too… Thank you. 🙏
I'm so glad to know that he's happy and feels free, I will treasure in my heart all the cute interactions he had with Yuzu 😊 Thank you so much for all you have taught him regarding the sport. Would love to see you working with Yuzu again. 😘🌸
Thanks Ghislain for teaching Yuzu textbook jumps and always be supportive of Yuzu during his training in Canada🤗You are getting younger each day...good for you😘
Great interview, thank you both! Ghislain is truly knowledgeable and passionate about the sport, and cares deeply about the health and happiness of the students. People like him are absolutely indispensable to the sport
Are you no longer in contact with Junhwan? You were always with him before covid. After Covid, Junhwan has been practicing alone. Sometimes I miss you.
I wonder why it is that Yuzu's former coaches always react to questions about him like he was "the elephant in the room" they don't really want to talk about. Yuzu remembers your birthday, Ghislain, but do you acknowledge his?
I'm not saying that this is the case but they probably get asked a lot of questions about yuzu. Maybe to a point where they already expect that all interviews are connected to yuzu or that yuzu will surely be mentioned. Of course i'm not saying thats a bad thing and its kinda a given since they are his former coach. I guess its such a common thing that happens that when the yuzu-related question isn't asked directly it becomes "the elephant in the room". Orrr i could be complete off 😂 but that's just my opinion 😊
I think this could be also connected to the fact that Yuzuru is an extremely private person and probably asked his coaches/team/people around him to not talk about him. Maybe there are even some NDAs in action, so perhaps his coaches rather not talk about him to not accidentaly share something he doesn't want to....don't know, those are just my thoughts....
@@Cybereve Maybe that's it. Brian gushes about Fernandez and Ghislain was talking about how great it is to work with Shoma and how open minded he is. He said with Yuzu they kept a distance. It always looked to me like they had a very good relationship when we saw them together at comps. Especially in kiss and cry. It seems they are just very reluctant to express even any kind of fondness for him. Tracy and Shae-Lynn always talk about him fondly. I don't know but I'm thinking maybe it rankles their egos that Yuzu is the reason they have gotten the exposure they have.
@@tonya--7704 Maybe it's because Yuzuru is a lot more private than the other skaters you mentioned and the coaches and choreographers respect that? I mean if they only talk about Yuzuru they probably will get accused of only using his name for exposure or even financial gain, while there's no worry about that when mentioning other skaters.

Thank you very much, Ghislain, for this interview, for all your help for Yuzu and figure skating, throughout these years, and continuing to do so.
