  • Here's a short tour of the Ketcham Inn, in Center Moriches, NY, on the South Shore of Long Island. The Inn is an AUTHENTIC 18th Century Inn and Tavern with a working hearth built in the 1690s.
I recently attended an 18th Century dinner there by invitation of the Ketcham Inn Foundation President, Bert Seides, and cook, Diane Schwindt. I put together this short video from some of the pictures.

Would you be interested in attending a period event there with me? Let me know!
A Tour and Dinner with 18th Century reenactors discussing current events of the 1770s?
    OR
A Tour and cooking demonstration including sampling some 18th Century food?
You can learn more about this Long Island treasure at ketchaminnfoundation.org/

I remember this when it was a restaurant called the Colonial Arms Restaurant back in the 60s. My folks were friends with the owners Mr. and Mrs. Sola. It became a boarding house sometime around the mid 70s

I would love to attend a ticketed event at the Inn although I do not have a period costume and I don't know when I will be in NY. I love the INN!!

Moriches = Moor Riches. I am a Moorish historian and I am piecing together a story of a lost and forgotten Moroccan Empire that spanned the entire Planet. All of what was considered St. George Manor was the remnant of the Moorish Outpost that was here pre-european colonization. I'm looking for any and all documentation that gives evidence to this fact. So far St. George Manor and William Floyd Estate have been very helpful in giving me the information I'm looking for.
