Have you tried changing your settings in your phone, or whatever it is that you're using it with? Mine are very loud, but it depends on what the source of the music or sounds are. Also, try playing with the app, you can change settings in there too.
Hey man, thank you for the review 🙏🏻 I remember watching the momentum 4 on your channel and you mentioning the driver imbalance issue. Now I got myself a pair of M4's and wanted to ask whether is that issue still the case with your pair? I think that mines are okay but I also get paranoid sometimes and am unsure lol.
Maybe this is just me but from the video I think I prefer the A+. The sound is way more clear and full, and less focused/piercing like the Momentum 4. Like, the momentum 4 feels like my ears are more clogged rather than the A+ which has a way more all around sound.
As someone else has noted, it would appear that the Accentum Plus does implement the aptX adaptive codec. Could you please clarify your assessment at 1:50. I use my Accentum Plus on a desktop PC, so am not using the app. Is it possible to pair the headphones with my phone at the same time, and use the app, and will any changes I make effect how they perform on my PC?
Am I crazy or did the noise cancelling basically sound the same between the 2 give or take a few DB. As well it may be the headphones I watched this on but I preferred the accentum audio quality aswell
I just like to see large earcups, 5cm width inner earcup size at the minimum. And 6cm height inner earcup size minimum. But these measurements are the extreme minimum for my ears. Because with these my ears still touch the inner walls of the cussions of my current headphones (philips fidelio x2hr).
Accentum Plus wins imho in sound quality, the momentum 4 actually sounds more muddy going from these demo sounds as if they are more processed somehow. I am listning this on my HD 650 sennheisser's and the Accentum Plus sounds WAY close to them. More honest and upfront.
@@domd8290I tried the momentum 4 and PX8 for 20 days and decided to send the momentum 4 back. They are great for the money but the PX8 sound better overall.
I quite like the stock Sennheiser sound signature. Got the M4s to replace Anker's Soundcore Q45s which are very disappointing. I think we all know why they get good reviews... Also have had Sennheiser earbuds for a few years. The issue with anything Sennheiser is the firmware and hardware to a lesser degree. Their products are buggy. Really buggy. This is the second set of M4s I've had and I've just decided to live with the quirks. The earbuds don't fare much better with much publicised quality control problems with the TW3s which I've just replaced with a free set of TW4s. Anyone with Sennheiser products has a love/hate relationship with them. I'm convinced of this!
heyy, i have a question for you if you have tried accentum plus. there's a sale going on here and i'm confused between momentum 4 and accentum plus and the difference between them is like 85-100 dollars(different price for different colours). is it worth that? i dont want noise cancellation or mic quality. just for the music listening and podcasts. requirement is good sound quality and comfort and should last 5-6 years at least. should i pay extra 100 bucks for it or not? please do reply.
Today the difference in regular price between A+ and M4 is approx. 30% in the EU. I wanted to buy A+ I thought it isn’t worth paying extra. But the microphone test surprised me. A+’s microphones are terrible. Although the A+ convinced me with its smaller dimensions compared to M4. After this video I don’t know what to do 😅
I'd say go for the M4's if the price is marginally different. I can buy a M4 for 219,99 euros now while the Accentum's Are 190 euros. The larger earcups on the M4's i believe will be better too for comfort's sake.
Bass quality of the M4's seems miles ahead. It's wider and clearer. I feel like the Accentum Plus's bass cuts off quickly too. It's hard to compare since there's also the quality of the headphones someone uses when watching this video. And even the equipment used to listen this video too has it's own signature that might give a bias towards either one of these headphones. But on my Philips Fidelio X2HR's it really feels like the overall quality of the M4's is miles ahead. Personal taste perhaps as well.
@JustSomeDude31 disagree. I had both. the accebtum plus had tighter faster and more accurate bass and midrange. it's more an immediate accuracy. more like the sennheiser pro line. the M4s had recessed mids and muddy bass. they had a MORE "background" sound signature, which is not as accurate but may be pleasing if you wear them for background music.
@@in2caffeine Thanks for sharing this first hand experience, that's of course way better than how I needed to compare them via this video. Makes me wonder which ones to go for. Regarding the information you've given, I can see reasons for both. But I'd think the accentum's would be better suited for me. I like good but clear bass with a decent roll off and I like the vocals not to be cut off by the background, and I like clear vibrant highs. I listen to rock / metal / punk rock music mostly but I also like techno and occasional pop and accoustic music and hiphop sometimes too. The most improtant thing however, is wearing comfot. How much smaller is the accentum plus compared to the m4's? Inner ear cup wise that is.
@@JustSomeDude31 The M4s have less clamping force if that's a concern and look nicer. But if you want a more "studio" sound, the accentum plus is the way to go. One quick tell, is the accentum are naturally better tuned. Plug the M4s and accentum plus directly into a wired dac and disable all internal electronics which impose a "tuning" and you will hear the accentums are naturally better sounding and have better acoustic properties. Also, the accentum plus have a higher drive impedance which typically implies better sounding headphones, but not always.
@@JustSomeDude31 I now use Sony wh1000xm5 for wireless use, but I think the accentum plus sound technically better. The selling point for me was the massively better noise cancellation and taking voice calls on the sonys which is a use case that is important to me. The sony's sound OK though, but I have wired headphones if I just want to focus on the music.

No problem. The other unit i received is all good now. The first one was probably a lemon.
Looking at the specs on the Sennheiser site, it looks like the Accentum Plus does indeed implement the aptX adaptive codec
