I just wanted to thank you as, not only did I get tons of interviews using your cover letter advise, I got an offer from a wonderful company with great workplace culture and I start on Monday :) Blessing upon blessings to you, Andrew! You deserve it with the work you do.
I watched this while doing housework and picked up bits and pieces but now I am actively writing it down, things are now making much more sense. Thank you so much again, Andy
Yesterday finished cv according to your template cv and covet letter , just sent for only vacancy and was contacted today by recruiter. That is incredible, few months before were silent. That is magic ✨
Andy, you bring a lot of great information about the total job search, not just resumes. However, what I would love to see is a video or series of videos specifically geared for people who are early career. They may not have many accomplishments, experience, etc. They may have a significant gap in their career, for example, I would love to start my career as a QA Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test, but I only have a year experience years ago. In the mean time, I have worked retail as a survival job. I would love to see videos on how to deal with the issues of early career technology professionals
There are a lot of videos on changing careers and much of the early stage professional advice is similar as anything I have in the channel. If you are early stage, you are looking for opportunities with employers who are open to different backgrounds and studies. I’m not sure if you attend my free weekly live shows but I would be happy to answer your question and give you more insight!
I’ve dealt with shipping charges before, and shipping to and from multiple locations/plants is a headache. A single order could require 10 items, and that one order could be fulfilled from 2 different plants, 2 different source destinations for a single order. The fact that multiple plants were involved increases those 6 vendor customer’s shipping solution not by 6x24 but more like 24 to the 6th power, as far as potential complexity of the most cost-effective shipping solution arrived at by his automated solution. Dare nice job Josh; great story! I did this form scratch using C++ long ago, and it was a nightmare because my solution had to incorporate toll roads and bridges too.
Thank you for such great content and helpful videos. It's often complex to quantify the impact and success of a creative visual of a campaign in numerical to add in the work experience bullet points. for a graphic designer, what would be considered best practice in formulating achievements without incorporating numerals? Additionally, do events and anniversaries, like redeveloping a brand identity to commemorate years of establishment, primarily focus on enhancing brand awareness and strength?
I want you to know that because of your videos, I received a job offer… THE MORNING AFTER my interview! It’s been 6 months in my current position and I am so happy! Woo-who! :) You are the best!
Thank you Andy for all of your amazing videos! Wanted to ask if anyone in the comments section may have some idea for how to handle a situation where you are the one who 100% executed a strategy developed by someone else that resulted in a great increase (40%) in new hire's completion of a training program. The problem I am currently having with my resume is that most projects in my current role are either managed like this one to where I don't have as much autonomy or as Andy explained are not the tip of the sword. Making it difficult for me to update things this time so anyone's ideas are appreciated.
Too Good ! Andrew i am a hvac design engineer aec (construction industry) with 6 months of internship experience trying to attract potential clients for freelancing through LinkedIn app by directly messaging them after introducing myself for getting commercial air conditioning design & drafting service projects but clients are mostly looking for people with prior 2-3 yrs of experience so how to earn trust & beat their fear of not thinking about me as value provider along with standing out from market competition ? Is creating a perfect portfolio very important to showcase my work in 2 projects or should i approach in some other manner to convince them ?
Hi Andrew. I recently applied to a supervisor role 3 days ago got the call yesterday and now have an interview lined up. However, I noticed they posted a manager role only after I applied for the supervisor role. I feel qualified for both. how do you think I should approach this situation. Should I apply for the manager role or should I just talk to the hiring manager about it before doing so?
@@andylacivita thank you. I would like to increase my pay check but it's hard for me to get out all the good things I have done or even how to put it. Any good suggestions?

Please - how do you suggest to list conference presentations presented, on the resume?

Say 40% increase in completion new hire onboarding (or whatever) by executing new training program (or something with this structure).
