      I don’t really feel Blake is a factor in these longer races. He has an amazing start, but doesn’t have that extra gear after 60…he’s a lot like Christian Coleman. Although fast, the guys with the insane top speed are gonna beat him over distance.

    Not worried about Tebogo’s loss by a thousands of a second with a slow start but the boy needs to learn how to dip. Not only in this race but I noticed in his other races before today he dips with a bow of the head like a meter from the finish line. It doesn’t look very good. He needs to get that right.

    Mboma, like Semenya and Nyonsaba ( spelling? ), may be on the mandatory hormone program which can affect people differently from athlete to athlete, and weight gain can , unfortunately , occur as a result. Mboma must know from her training sessions where she is performance wise so it is a mystery that she would compete in an important competition

      Christine said that a tape fell/broke on her leg and she was paranoid she had pulled a thigh muscle again, which is why she pulled up early. She already ran 11.61 a week later at the nationals and that time would have landed her in the middle of this race.

  • @stevie586
    @stevie586 Місяць тому +4

    Hey, T! I think for Mboma, people first need to realize she’s a 400m runner who was forced to step down to the 100/200M. Also, she has not been able to train during suspension, AND she’s on those horrible suppressants. Then, if she’s looking so heavy, it could be a good sign she’s slow because of lifting so many weights.
    For Tebogo, I’ve said this many times before, but he’s a “future star”. He is kinda like what we saw in ShaCarri in 2019…we knew she would one day be a star. Lindsey looks GOOD this year with an insane reaction, start, and his maintenance looks great also! I do think Tebogo will be faster in Paris, so, we will just have to watch out for this.
    In the Xiamen, hmmm, ShaCarri was showing poor 200M final 50 endurance still, which I’m sure they’re working on. She took tons off her fast turn and it does seem she had more gas than usual, but she could not keep her knees up. Also, Christian Coleman, wow, did you see him recover from a very slow start and pull away from Fred Kerley? This tells me Coleman may be back on top!

    • @XDF745

      Testosterone isn't the primary thing that makes female athletes fast. A lot of other genetic factors are involved, but training and perseverance are just as important. This idea that T made her special is an oversimplification, to put it mildly.
