I love how Ruby admits to being fame hungry. She admits her foibles and shows how it is for so many other celebrities who are unwilling to show us their desperation. I also love how she is so open about mental health woes - mental health should not be seen as embarrassing or weakness. We are all human and our bodies are imperfect and will need help from time to time to get better.

it was obvious she was fame hungry when she first appeared in the 80s and to me it was quite clear even then she had a mental health issue , she was quite uncomfortable to watch I remember..it all comes out in the end . glad she got help in the end

Why do shows have someone on and then not give them enough time to do a little justice to the topic? Let Ruby speak, stop telling her what she's done and asking questions then not giving her time to answer. I'll buy the book.

I'm sure they had a short agenda. The host should have explained beforehand that things would be moving quickly, so as not to offend anyone. I agree it was rather abrupt.

Shame ruby couldn’t just talk. She has such amazing things to say. She said something about her mental health the other day on another show that floored me as I thought I was the only one! She truly explains!!!! X

What a shame Ruby was not able to say more, I think she was being shut up. I only watched this because of Ruby, very disappointing, maybe she could do her own pod cast. I wont be in a hurry to watch Jeremy Vine again.

Agree, the man is insufferable, and just so enormously pleased with himself, despite being rushed by his producers!

I love Ruby, in the 90's Britain was grey and bland, she was the best import we had. A little exotic and a ray of sunshine. She might have an American accent but she's definitely ours (Britain's). A national treasure.

Ruby you are wonderful. A great comedian and person. The show you made with Jennifer Saunders was brilliant to say the least. I'm glad you're doing so well.

My god, what has she done to her face. Why don’t these celebrities learn to grow old gracefully. She used to be a good looking woman.

"lots of celebrities banging on about mindfulness ...you've done the intellectual work as well..." ...lol love how he dismisses in a moment people who might actually even PRACTICE mindfulness in a real practical way and not just talk about it intellectually.OK Ruby has studied some of the neurobiology of mindfulness or what happens when we are in various states of fight/flight etc and how our nervous systems work but actually practicing mindfulness is whats important !!! otherwise it is meaningless if just understood "intellectually".
Honestly Rob Rinder is becoming more of a pain in the ass as days go by with his so called "expert or educated opinion on things as if he is so objective and scientific in his analysis including on Israel.

As per ger book, she practices it & also knows the intellectual psych study behind it , via her degree . I dont see the issue.

Ruby is a very beautiful woman and more beautiful than some of the so called beauties she interviewed though don’t think she thought so. Please leave your beautiful face alone.
