I feel like the revival book is a lost object from old history, maybe something from a old war (Like decades before the canon dsmp) and it became lost to time until schlatt found it. I want to explore the lore behind this book and how Schlatt of all characters got it. However I am alright with it being something with a unexplained origin

Thank you for this! It’s a curious thing and I wish we could get a backstory to how Schlatt obtained it, and why he passed it to Dream. I had a theory a while back it was made by DreamXD or a god to cheat death and create chaos, kind of like Ryuk dropping the Death Note randomly because he was bored. It’s probably not accurate but it’s super fun to theorize!
It's kinda sad how some people can't be villains because of hate. I always love messy conflicts and I think villainous roles for more characters (while not having everyone be evil) can be very interesting. Plus, I feel like some people in particular have more motives than others and that can change how the villain plays out.
We also know that lore wise Dream XD created the revival book and left it somewhere in the world. I think it’s really interesting to think how different the story would have been if Dream hadn’t switched sides to make things more even. I’m glad he did because it made the story so good but what would have happened if Dream had fought for pogtopia and helped Tommy instead of being his enemy. I don’t think it would have been nearly as successful of a story, but I am curious.
I like how Tommy’s character HATES Schlatt, but Schlatt is Tommy’s REAL IDOL-
I feel like the revival book also has something to do with time and karl's adventures. Like it being a object protected by the In-between or Outer Bounds and was lost to time with sclatt eventually finding it because he is sclatt
Honestly, I feel like the Revival Book kinda takes some of the thrill out of a canon death, tbh. It just feels cheap and kind of a cop out.
I feel like being a villain is liberating, you’d get the chance to do as you want which is human nature and get away with it because that’s just your character
So basicaly the revival book is a thing to fill a hole in the lore
What If DreamXd gave schlatt the book, because DreamXd gave him a gift like he did with Tecno.

Dude I'm still thinking about the time where dream XD and foolish we're talking and dream XD mentions there's two books and one of them's been found obviously the one book that's been found is probably the Revival book but I'm wondering what was the second book for did it kill people automatically or something did it like give the person ultimate Powers what did the second book do that hasn't been found yet? Is that what dreams finale is going to be about? is that what Tommy's finale is going to be about? is that what schlatt (if he has one) finale going to be about?

From what we’ve seen The revival book can be cloned. Every time C!Dream uses the revival book he burns it. Which makes me theorise that the revival book can be cloned as long as the person knows what’s written in it. Or if you are talking about like a counter part then we have the death book.(yes the DSMP is now death note.) though in all seriousness there is indeed a death book. The death book can basically kill anyone including the holder of the revival book. But if the holder of the death book kills the holder of the revival book by writing their name then they will die to. Unlike the revival book as far as I remember the death book can’t be cloned. But if the holder of the death book kills the holder of the revival book using an axe/picaxe/sword/anything other then the death book then the holder of the death book wouldn’t die

Dream always wanted to be the villain. It all ties into Dream's intention of putting the spotlight on other creators and not him. He wants to be someone universally bad so everyone can band together against him and be considered heroes. That's why he's so badly written, and his motivations are so childish, because he is trying his best not to let anyone develop any sympathy towards him. He wants everyone to be the hero of their own little story, but every hero needs a villain. Dream sacrifices the depth of his character to fill that role.
Imo, I think his character was written pretty well. c!Dream was already a corrupt leader before he gained the revival book. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely" is a great quote to describe why c!Dream became so self-absorbed and started wanting power over everyone and why he eventually started seeing himself as a god. Having all the power in the world wont ever be enough for someone who's always craving more power. His motivations arent childish, they're realistic. We see all kinds of people similar to him in real life. Narcissists, abusers, and corrupt leaders; All put into one to create the most evil character on the SMP.
But those are just my thoughts.
@@silvrnightingale His motivations aren't realistic, they are the most generic villain bs you see in children cartoons. The best example you see is in the finale where everyone put Dream in prison. Dream's evil plan was to... Get everyone's most important possesions so that he can control them. That's is literally the dumbest thing ever. He even had Skeppy in a little cage, not like he could escape that in 5 seconds.
And also, the way everyone came trough a unguarded portal in the nether that leads straight into the middle of Dream's base. Great writing guys, amazing. Not at all forced.
And why tf was Punz with them, don't even try to tell me that Dream being put in prison was his plan all along, because he gained *nothing* from it. And he also came within an inch from death multiple times.
Also, idk if it's Dream horrible acting or if his character is actually that shallow, but Dream has like 0 personality.
@@titaniumgamer_10 That whole thing wasnt forced, though. That was literally Tommy's plan. He left a shit-ton of diamond, gold, and other blocks in order to pay Punz (who was a mercenary who was only working with Dream because Dream was paying him) to betray Dream and bring everyone to his base because Dream couldnt fight everyone on the server. That was all planned.
And... Have you never been in a home with an abusive parent? Never read the stories on reddit about abusive parents? When you anger them and they want to control you, they take away things you love the most (aka, "important possessions"). Dream is exactly like an abusive parent. Abusive, manipulative, gaslighting people every corner. That's realistic and they wrote him like that on purpose. It's something I have never seen in any kids movie except maybe Tangled, but Mother Gothel wasnt openly abusive toward Rapunzel until the end. Dream was openly abusive towards Tommy all throughout exile, and beyond.
That's why I called it realistic.

First of all, what do you mean Punz is only Dream's mercenary? Did you not watch the stream where Punz and Dream meet after Dream escapes where they talk like it was all planned? Second what the hell was that comparison with abusive parents. If a parents wants to control their kid they take away their iPad or phone or whatever cuz they have bad grades, they don't take their best friend and lock them up in a cage until they behave.
