Xperia™ XZ Premium Dual SIM has a primary SIM card holder together with a combined card holder that allows you to use either a memory card or an additional SIM card. This video shows the correct placement of two nano SIM cards.
To prevent data loss, make sure to turn off your device before you drag out the holder to remove the nano SIM card (or cards) or memory card.

When are Sony going to realise that most of the responses to this video relate to the lack of support for dual sim and additional memory card. The only reason it's "not possible" as they keep responding is because someone took the decision to have a hybrid tray, otherwise of course it would have been possible. Now looking at buying the Z5 dual from 2 years ago in preference to this as it does allow dual sim and memory card.

Dear Andrés, I don't think you'll find any existing Xperia Dual owners that are happy with hybrid SIM trays. My wife has a Z3 Dual, using both SIM spaces plus a 128 GB MicroSD card purely for music. Since Hi-Res Audio is one of the selling points of Xperia phones, the hybrid SIM tray very seriously reduces the functionality by restricting users to the phone's internal memory. Not everyone wants to stream their music either, many customers like to keep their music available offline. I have a 200 GB MicroSD in my Z5, again, purely for music. It's disappointing that hybrid SIM trays are continuing, because they limit the phone unnecessarily. Even 64 GB internal memory is not enough for the high quality media functions that are promoted as strengths of the Xperia brand. I for one will not buy another Xperia with hybrid SIM tray, it's a terrible idea.
What's differencess between XZ Premium and the dual sim variant, no sim card tray in micro sd tray?
Hi MuhdZikry. The only difference is dual SIM support. The memory card tray allows you to use either a second SIM card or an additional memory card. Do not cut your SIM card, as this may damage your device. - Andrés

Last year, I bought this phone because sony representative claims that it's dual sim plus memory. I just realized 2 months ago, when I finally needed an additional storage that this phone doesn't support that

Are both sim slots 4g LTE capable? Or pre-configured 4g + 2g? If the former, can you nominate in 'settings' which sim acts on mobile data? My preference in a busy pub!
Hi there, thanks for getting in touch with us. The Xperia XZ Premium Dual supports using one LTE/4G and one 3G/WCMDA network at the same time. Additionally, you can select a particular SIM card as the default SIM for mobile data traffic:
-To select default SIM card for mobile data traffic:
From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
Find and tap Settings > Dual SIM settings.
Under SIM card for data traffic, tap the available SIM card, that is, the card that you want to switch from.
Select the SIM card that you want to switch to.
Tip: For higher data speeds, select the SIM card that supports the fastest mobile network, for example, 3G or LTE.

i have my own sony XZ i bought it 2yrs ago. but now i need more storage so i bought an SD card.. but when i put the SD card.. i just realize that this phone does not support 2 simcard and 1 SD card inserted together.. what a disappointment. ☹️😕😥

If I try to insert the nano sim the way the video demonstrates the tray won't go back into the phone, it just pushes the sim out of the phone as the tray goes back into the slot, I've tried flipping the sim and rotating too, it just won't fit as the sim card just sits on top of the tray instead of slotting in to the tray, using a nano sim card, is that the correct size?

Sony Xperia Support I have the same problem. I use a nano sim but it just don't fit in the tray. I already have put my first sim in the first tray and when I try to put the second one, the nano SIM goes away from the tray because it does not fit exactly. The size of the card is 120mm*85mm. Thanks.

The second sim won't fit
Why can't both sims be inserted at the same time, it's false advertising its a mono sim not Dual sim, Xperia Z5 premium dual has it, this like the camera is another downgrade, o and beware of Sony Xperia you buy online some don't include a factory warranty

Regarding the SD card, the device supports a microSDXC up to 256GB, short for Micro Secure Digital Extended Capacity. Note!
