Some, like Seattle Circuit, won't come back for architectural reasons. Others, like Rome Circuit, can return either as a legacy version or a part of the 'full' circuit. If they are possible, then it is likely, since those tracks were considered in GT5, and some, especially New York Circuit, were even functional early in development (although only Tokyo R246 and Special Stage Route 5 actually returned), so PD won't have too much trouble modernizing the tracks. The fact that a new GT title(likely to be released at the end of 2020) is more likely to harken to the earlier days of the franchise also helps. What I think can't return: Seattle: Was actually used in a older GT advert(for a 2nd Generation NSX), but that is entirely anachronistic, since the car is a 2013 model concept car while the CenturyLink Field(which obscured most of the circuit) was built in 2002. Hong Kong: Hong Kong has developed a lot since 2004. A lot of structural changes should be entailed to make this circuit future-proof, which sadly isn't cost-effective(not worth the effort, in other words). Too bad, since it would look great with variable time/weather. Seoul: The reason for not returning: Similar to Hong Kong. Also the circuit layout is a little bit too similar to Special Stage Route 7(although that circuit was added later.). Should this circuit return, it should return as a more complex circuit similar to Tokyo R246. Cote d' Azure: Can PD actually get this track licensed? If yes, then it will certainly return, since it was featured as late as GT6. What I think can return as modified versions: Rome Circuit: Circuito di Roma was made to replace this circuit, but in fact this track can harmoniously exist alongside its predecessor, since Rome hasn't changed significantly between 2000 and 2010. In fact, All 3 versions of Rome Circuit(Rome-Night from GT2, Rome Circuit from GT3, and Circuito di Rome from GT5) can be merged together, similar to how Grand Valley Speedway was later separated into Grand Valley East and West versions. George V Paris/Opera Paris: Both circuits cross the Champs-Elysses Avenue, so they can be merged. Special Stage Route 11: This circuit was planned to be added in GT6(and was even featured in the first trailer), but was ultimately not realized. However, the key is how PD manages to blend in the aspect of the GT1 version of the circuit and the GT3 version of it. Seeing that it was actually featured, even in a trailer, though, it is possible that we can expect SSR11's return in a future installment. A majority of the other circuits(as well as those new to GT after GT5, such as SSR7) can return.

Well bare in mind, for the time it was great, but the level of detail of the tracks in Gran Turismo Sport couldn't be achieved back then. I wouldn't call it depressing; it's amazing for its time, and still is good!

I like how for Fuji, depending on the era, the track has "changes" like how in the 80's version it barely has Grand Stands while in the 05 GT version is a state of the art facility with all the safety and amenities you need
well to be fair, up until 2003 the circuit looked basically the same as the 1990's version and then it was closed to be completely redone for the facilities and layout that stand today
