Isabela might not have found the love she was looking for at the end of Encanto, but she did end up loving herself for who she really was by the end of the film. Which is awesome in and of itself. But many found it kinda sad that she never found a man who liked her for who she really was, only for what Abuela wanted others to see. Well, it turns out, that isn’t the whole story. In an alternate version of Isabela’s story, she actually had a secret lover that she almost ran away with. A lover who loved and cherished Isabela for everything that she was. And you would never guess who this guy was, he was right in front of our faces the entire time.

Bubo and Isabela were not only deeply in love in this alternate version of Encanto, but they were very close to even running away together! Bubo saw Isabela for her true self, which is why she fell in love with him. And it turns out, Bubo was in front of our faces the entire Encanto Movie!

Mariano wasn’t very macho to me. I mean he was a masculine man but, he was a softy and a BIG romantic.
I think that's what they mean by he was Bubo. I think they scrapped his Gaston wannabe persona because let's face it, most modern girls watching the film would be calling out grandma for trying to get her to stay with someone toxic but if he's masculine and loves his mother per say, then he's not Gaston instead he's got more depth and also comes across as as confused as she is probably following his owns parents choices. But having the whole thing called off gives h the ability to consider he also has the chance to choose who he's looking at.
i was hoping for a Tv series for Encanto since this movie has a lot of characters it would really fit a tv series. Like imagine Bruno falling in love with a lady yet too shy to admit it, or lets just look into the fact that the huge mountain is cracked open now and they can visit other villages and they needed to impress other people yet the villagers are scared of them since they have powers
Yeah just like tangled a lot of things that were cut out from the film were in tangled the series for example rapunzel was having a green dress in movie but it changed to purple and vigor the monkey it was in alternative version but it didnt came in movie well guess what all of them were in tangled the series 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Well it's not too late. It took years for Tangled and BH6 to get their own TV shows, and it's been barely over a year since this movie came out, so there's still hope
I kinda wanted a prequel...see how everyone got their gifts, and Isabela's relationship with Mirabel and Luisa! There's definitely some stuff that happened between them, especially when she had told Mirabel "And all you have done for me is mess things up!"
I imagined Bruno falling for a librarian/ historian. I know it’s cheesy, but the past and the future coming together and falling in love in the present
This would definitely be great for a story, especially since most story tropes that have a woman having to fall in love with a "perfect masculine guy" but is in love with another... "perfect masculine" guy is.... way too overused. However, having Isabela fall in love with a man that doesn't have any of those features seems perfect! I love it! I want to see it!

For those who thought this video would show you bubo in the actual film as an extra from this misleading title and thumbnail... you don't... I've just saved you from wasting 9 minutes of your time, that I'll never get back.
Also to claim that Mariano was Bubo all along is very misleading tbh the love that she got at the end that was accepting was from herself and mirabel I thought that was going to be the conclusion of this video not the parroted message that Marino was a storyline replacement for Bubo the video already explained that, and to be fair I already knew about that part so watching this video was a complete waste of my time...

@@irThumper That would imply Isabela had any romantic feelings for Mariano, which was not the case at all. She was just going to marry him because that's what Abuela wanted her to do, not because she had any interest in being his wife
I'm actually glad they cut the romantic subplot. The prettiest girl needing a man to find her will and her purpose in life is getting real old. Félix and Agustín are already husband goals anyway

There is also the fact the Isabella looks like a glow up version of abuela when she was young, and Mariano looks like a glow up version of their grandfather when he was young. It’s why grandma was SO invested in the perfect happy ending…and I don’t think a happy ending should involve a man/prince or a spouse at all (male of female, thou the fanfic of Isabella and Elsa are amusing lolz)

Why does Isabela even need a "relationship" of any kind? Why can't she be free to do what she wants without hooking up with someone. Tired of the same old trope. Break the reins and run!
Well some people just want to ship or enjoy what ifs? Nothing wrong with women getting into relationships (male or female it don't matter.
Nothing wrong with females enjoying their freedom plus the fact Moana has done that too and a lot of female leads aren't tied down by a man.
But what trope at this point? Almost all modern females are like "men are lame and female power is the game." The last female lead married to a male as far as Disney was like Rapunzel? And even then it was in the series years after the movie.

@@thetoshiapoundstoneshow373 I get what you're saying but that wasnt my point. My point was a lot of modern females in TV shows or cartoons are basically what you want. Have you seen Wensday? She's pretty exactly what you want and there are plenty more who are the same or less in your face about it, either way it's not as common anymore for females in TV shows/movies to be married to males anymore.

@@gaminglulunightmare6092 Unfortunately for some others there are deeper reasons behind my sentiment... It was just my opinion, but speaking from a place of deep hurt I really identify with so many of the feelings in Encanto. Mirabel, Luisa, and Isabel are my spirit sisters... Mira needs to feel like she is worthy and not just passed over as an inconvenience, Luisa needs to feel appreciated and not taken for granted (and she needs a break!) and Isa just wants to be free to be who she is meant to be-- once people stop telling her who they want her to be and dictating and micro-managing every single aspect of her life. I liked the open-ended way they left Isa's storyline, and that it didn't contain a relationship plot.
I am not a fan of mariano. He was first in love with isabella and in one second in love with dolores. His love isn't real and i don't think he trully loved isabella or dolores.
I don't understand the idea that it's sad Isabella didn't get a man. So Isabella didn't have a romantic relationship. Big deal. As good a fit as Bubo seems for her, he also seems narratively unnecessary for the direction the movie was taking.
the way mirabel was in this cut out part doesn’t fit canonically how mirabel is. And I love that Isabella found herself WITHOUT a man “helping” her see herself
Wow. Good thing they never added this story line. Isabella being Isabella - independent and not needing a man, free and creative - is just a great story on its own. Not all princesses need a prince. In this case, not all Madrigals need a love story.
More of this independent gibberish and not needing a man nonsense. yes all princess does need a prince. yes all Mandrigals do need a love story, it's beautiful and romantic.

I'm wrankled that "people felt sad she didn't get the man of her dreams". GAH! They have PLENTY of time - their family name ensures a strong enough interest that they will be able to pick at leisure afterr sorting out who they truly are. You got Dolores and Mariano. That should be enough.
Don't be so mean and bitter, those people just wanted her to fall in love. that will take to long. though I wanted Isabella to be with Mariano.
Actually the interessing thing about this storyline is having a member of the family having the Idea of leaving it to be more happy. The Bad thing about this Idea is the personality of Mirabel beeing less nice than the final movie

Isabela is my favorite actually, and her ability to embrace her true self inspired me. Though, she doesn’t need romance to be happy. Let Dolores have Mariano and Isabela have herself. The idea of breaking the whole telenovela romance thing is appealing cause they are so overrated.

Literally no one felt sorry for Isabela because she ended the film single. Single is what she wanted to be at the time.
Well i did, I consider it a waste. no, she can't possibly want to be that.
While it sounds like a fun storyline, I can see why they dropped it. This subplot is so involved it practically demands to be its own movie and trying to actually implement it in a 90-minute Disney film would draw too much time and focus away from Mirabel. Her journey is the core element that radiates out and causes the whole family to change. Also Isabela's development and need in the story is not about finding the right guy, but about being able to enact control and agency over her own life. Now that she's opened that door she can take her life in whatever direction she choose, including someday finding a lover when and if she decides she wants one.
Woah...so ready to make this part of the story I had been planning. 😄

The voice actress for Isabela says that Isabela is gay.
Lots of actors say that. They aren't actually the characters. You have to separate them. My God, if I couldn't, I wouldn't be able to watch ANYTHING because Hollywood is just filled with the most disgusting people. Like I love the character of Captain America hate his actor. Love the character of Bruce banner, hate his actor. Love Hermione Granger, can not stand her actress.
Ok, so? Did the actress create the character? No. So she doesn't get to make that choice.
