I have found the Dazer works best when dogs are being aggressive as their senses are more alert. Works well and I would rather have one of these when coming across vicious dogs than have nothing at all.
I have 2 male Aussie brothers who have gotten into fights and this devise has worked wonders to stop fights. They respond better to this that yelling or pulling them apart, safer too.

I bought this device a year ago - it does shift cats out of garden but using on an aggressive dog it isn't reliable. 1) if an aggressive dog comes from nowhere, you have to get Dazer ready and aimed - not easy with a dog ready to attack you or your dog. 2) It only works (according to manufacturer) on "aggressively heightened dogs". In other words, a dog that is on point of ripping into a person or another dog. I would imagine whacking offending dog over head with the Dazer would have a better effect. I find the cheapest and most effective way to deal with such dogs is to buy a pocket sized deodorant spray, a good squirt into offending dogs face will achieve 2 things, make it's eyes smart and also get up it's nose, both taking it's mind off the intent. Unlike the Dazer, this would also work on owner of nasty dog if necessary. It does not work as a training aid.
That would be fun to try. Watching 1000 bats freak out. I remember a bridge in Austin where 10s of thousands of bats would emerge at night for their hunt. What chaos that would be.
Plot twist: Sam had heard somewhere that humans don't like dog poo in their beds.... She made up for it later with lots of guilty looks and gentle whimpering. Now they're friends again. Yay!

Neighbor's dog keeps coming on our property - not just a little, but driveway, etc and sometimes we can't play outside or go for a walk. Thus far neighbors unresponsive to friendly asking them to handle it. Looking for a way to handle this but NOT hurting the innocent dog. Does this device work from a longer distance? Do you know of a device that works from a long distance...like 10-20 yards? Thanks

+Jmichael Isbell Different dogs act differently from the surprise of the sound. Some dog may be surprised by it and bark more trying to 'complain' while others will be surprised and stop immediately being distracted by the sound (most dogs would but not all). It's the same as when a dog focused its attention and barks at a certain object and you tap the dog on the neck or on the body without it seeing you (it may know you are there but not expecting you to tap them). The dog in surprise may stop barking and look your way instead. This person is just testing to see if the sound works on the dog. Also, sometimes if you use this device for a long time, a dog may (or may not) get used to the sound and ignore it completely after. Again, depends on different dogs. :) Hope this helps.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep a dog out of your yard? We just moved to a new home & we do have wild birds & wild rabbits in our yard that I like to feed. But... we recently knowtista dog (German Shorthaired Pointer, to be exact) that keep coming into our yard & trying to dig our rabbit out (from under our shed). The dog keeps jumping the fence (I watched him today). I don't want the dog to scare the rabbit or the birds away. I don't know who the dog belongs to. Really don't want to call animal control. All I can think of is a air horn (but what will the neighbors think)? Any idea's how to get rid of the dog without hurting the rabbit or dog?
Call animal control. Or add extra height to the fence if this is practical. My concern would be for your rabbit, don't be fretting over the dog that is being intrusive and aggressive.

I just bought few deers and some animals two weeks a go, and today at 6:00AM, my labors came and found two wild dogs in the barn and they've killed my five deers, they didn't eat them, they just killed them!!! I want to get something to scare wild dogs and keeps them off my barn!! Can anyone help PLEASE?!

hahaha Great vid but some stupid guy who jumped into our yard tried this (Left it behind after the police took him) and after the dog cornered him, the footage from our cctv cam showed him using this device and my GSD'S just for a micro sec seemed to be in the state of WTF and then (Ignore) and corner .. didnt let him move any attempts to move = dog steps closer and and becomes more aggressive - Hard to tell but I thing they just got even more pissed if he used it, after a few attempts he gave up. End result - If your or/and A dog is being aggressive .. this will not work they will just come at you regardless lol However same thing with my dog If *I* pressed it around them, they get up and walk off lol

That's called a "false positive". The dog was not reacting to the sound by itself. The dog was reacting to the unusual event of the sound emanating from you. You need to remove yourself from the equation.
I think this dog dazer is for a neighbors barking dog, 20 feet away, or to train your dog not to bark. (not to blast your dog 3 feet away for doing nothing).

I love dogs and hated doing it but I sprayed the pepper spray near the dog and it ran away with tail between legs. So I didn't have to hurt the dog at all; with those 300 million olfactory receptors, just the smell of that stuff did the trick.

Dogs hear ultrasonic frequencies(up to 45 kHz) that we can't hear. What do you expect?
It looks like it works well but if a huge pit bull or German Shepard was coming at you it might just make them flinch a little
