There are moments in life when we feel a connection so deep words can hardly describe it. But how do we know that it's real? This is the story of a boy who meets a girl and falls in love. (Please do not continue reading until after you watch the video!)
The Jubilee Project makes films for good causes. This film was produced to raise awareness and support for the American Society for Deaf Children. There are two ways that you can support this cause:
1. Go to jubileeproject.bandcamp.com to buy the soundtrack for this video, "Peaches" by New Heights. You can also donate directly to the cause at this site.
2. Sign up to become a sponsor of this video. Each sponsor will be asked to donate 1 penny for each view this video receives in November. So if the video is watched 1000 times this month, sponsors will each donate 10 dollars. You can sign up to become a sponsor by emailing project.jubilee@gmail.com. All proceeds will go to the American Society for Deaf Children.
The American Society for Deaf Children is a non-profit organization started in 1967 that supports and educates families of deaf and hard of hearing children and advocates for high quality programs and services.

Wouldn't it be nice if in the end, the video didn't show us the scene where the girl told the guy she was deaf, but instead, the scene fades to the setting of a wedding, while the guy and girl sign languages each other: "I do."

The first time I saw something like this was by a younger couples that I'm sure now did a remake of the JP's video. I'm a little disappointed they didn't give you guys credit.

I hate being deaf. It's not fun, it's not fair. Everyone's laughing in their circle and I am just standing there watching them laugh, it hurts to not be normal cus your life is scar with jealousy in others who can enjoy a hearty chat at ease.
Trey Lo you’re still normal even if you’re deaf...at least that’s what my mom told me...she said that you can do the same things anyone else could...you just can’t hear and that shouldn’t stop you from having fun...I was born death and mute so I understand but that shouldn’t stop you from being you and doing the things other people do...much love ❤️

i love love love and adore this video and its remakes, but the ending. as a girl with a disability i want someone to just tell me i'm beautiful, period, cause i'm just a person as everybody else, not that oh well, despite my imperfections i'm STILL beautiful, and what does being deaf has to do with beauty anyway? she doesn't even have a visible physical aspect disability!

i don't really think that's what they meant
a lot of ppl find it hard to keep relationships or don't find it worth the effort/time to communicate w/ someone who has a disability such as someone who's blind, deaf, autistic, etc.
ik it's not a good thing and i really hate how that's something that happens often but it does happen and that's what they were, in a sense, combating

Watched this when I was 8. Now I'm 18 and nostalgia landed me back here. Their channel has grown so much over the years but I still find myself missing these short films

Elycia Herrera I think it's an automatic muscle response when typing. I noticed when I was typing a message I typed "dead" instead of "deaf" twice, because it's a much more commonly typed word (at least by me, since I am not deaf nor hard of hearing).
You may have encountered similar scenarios yourself with other words if you frequently type on a computer.

dat plot twist. Not to pick it apart but I'm a little curious why she would have ear phones in.
to prevent people from trying to talk to her...instead of being rude to make it seem like they were getting ignored, she'd put them in since she can't hear..normally people don't bother others if they're listening to music.

This is beautiful! this really shows an awareness to people outside of the deaf community. i work with a group called the Association for the hearing impaired and we have sign language classes and different performances that we attend and show people that just because someone is deaf, dosent mean that they arent like everyone else in the world. sometimes, the only thing that they want to he heard, to be felt like someone understands. This has made my day! The message is truly beautiful!

She was the one who said "Sorry, I'm deaf." She was the one being self-conscious and negative about being deaf and he was merely reassuring her.
I really don't like the message this video sends. "You're still beautiful." What are you saying? It makes it seem as if he likes her despite her deafness. I don't think that's the message they wanted to send but that's what I got from it.
I think it is more like, the fact she is deaf is totally irrelevant.
The meanng of the vídeo was esplained in another jubilee video: no matter your age, race, or religion, everybody are beautiful.

I'm sorry to burst the bubble, but this isn't an original.. I've watched a short film with the same storyline before, but a longer story. I don't rmb where I found that short film tho, i watched it quite awhile back.

That one was a remake.... This is the original. The one you watched was a remake with filipino people, it's also titled "Love Language" and they didn't credit Jubilee project except for the little bit in the description. It has almost 4x more views than this.

Hmmm, I think that special moments like these come few and far between; to us at special times. Still, it will take courage to make that move. Sometimes, they are moment, other times are weeks, months, maybe years to happen. But, when you find that lady that's worth it and she think it's worth it to you too, I best in her and make her looks, although beautiful and attractive, secondary. Because we all age and so do our looks so, enjoy the body when it's proper but, invest in the rest of her even more. :). That way, you will have a treasure chest of things that you like about her and her being beautiful to you will be an even greater bonus. We only know gold not just by how shiny it is but by its character. It's hard, it's heavy, it's a really good conductor; and it's pretty hard to find, I believe; although diamonds are harder to find. It's a precious metal and it does its job well.
Remember: she's still human and has flaws too. So, in that journey that it slow. God bless
