"Talking, Talking Pies!" Your new channel even has a theme song already. :) And great footage of you actually baking like a powerful witch (loved that). I, too, am a huge Christine fan. She's amazing. Are you a patron of hers on Patreon? My favorite parts of your pie are those little skulls. They look great! If you Talk Pies in the future, how about a kraken or Cthulu style pie? I think dough would make great tentacles.
Ooo you’re 100% right pie tentacles 🦑 would look great! And my partner is a Patron for Christine and we watch all her top secret Patreon videos together - she’s the best!
I've been trying to find the time to watch this for forever, it turned out so cool! Making any kind of art with food is so crazy difficult, the stuff Christine does blows my mind every single time- I have no idea how she does it! Enjoyed this so much, always love seeing a wide variety of crafts, even if youtube doesn't always like it... they can't stop us! Make the stuff you want to make~
Thank you 💙 It’s fun doing varied things for sureee even if ye olde tube doesn’t approve. I definitely want to try again someday to make some epic baked goods. Maybe in 50 years I’ll be as cool as Christine 😉
Thank you! It was a bit different but I’m super happy with the results and I’m excited to try again sometime. Thanks for always watching and commenting! ⭐️✨
@@RaqrexArt u welcome, dad been home more lately and been baking cheesecakes sometimes, they getting more delicious 😋 I don’t mind coz I get to taste bits and sometimes gets eggs from the chimkins! 🥰🐶
Yes, this was great. I can see your continued improvement on video production, the outtakes were a bonus I'm glad you included. If you are worried about the algorithm messing with your channel, you could make a second channel to put all the miscellaneous content that you want to make. I follow one creator who has 4 different channels for various things. Gardening with Lilly being one of them (Survival Lilly is the main channel). Different kind of content, but maybe it'll give you some ideas. Anyhow, I really enjoyed this, glad you tried it out!
Thanks Chris! I really appreciate your encouragement and support. It can be challenging navigating what UA-cam wants you to do…the one thing I know is happening is UA-cam only shows my videos to a miniature painting audience - which don’t get me wrong I love minis but having a mini painting channel was never my plan. My ideal channel is just “fantasy based art” …so I’m kind of pushing myself to create more varied things in the categories I want. I think it might be tough for a little bit but I’m excited to ignore the numbers for a bit and just see where my passion takes me. ✨
Looks amazing! So glad the recipe worked for ya both times. For the leaves we did 2 coats of food coloring and then while the second coat was wet we put on sanding sugar in those colors. Way to go Raquel!
@@RaqrexArt Yes. We cut out the shapes, sorted them into 3 batches and did yellow, orange and red, 1 coat, let it dry, did another coat(fairly thick) and sprinkled on the sanding sugar on it and let it dry before placing them on the pie to bake
Great video! Amazing editing work. Yes... YT don't like it when you go outside the box they put your channel in sadly... but boxes where made to go outside of.
This was great. Love the pacing, you kinda have to just try to hang on =) I never thought about pies in this way before, and that's something I guess =)
Thank you! I really appreciate it when people give me feedback on the videos themselves - pacing is something I’ve been trying to pay attention to 😊 Now go out and make yourself some creative baked goods!!!
2:52 that sliding entrance lol uuuh, this is not up my alley, I got no comment on the technique... All I can say is that it looks tasty. Not the spookiest, but certainly tasty XD
Baking = (edible) crafting. Can you use the food colouring after it's done baking? Or is it not usable that way? Did the darkening of the crust during cooking reduce the intensity of the colour as well? Is it possible to just mix in more food colouring?
Edible crafting! Haha I love that. Unfortunately, I don’t think it would work to add more in afterwards but I probably could have just mixed more into the dough. It seemed like most of the color faded as the pie baked and the dough darkened.
I'll say that I prefer crafting D&D terrain... until you offer pie. At that point I just look dumb because... I love crafting D&D terrain... and I love pie. Can I have my pie and my crafting, too?! Is that a thing?! Crafting and pie?! (Please please please say Yes!)
Organic food colouring doesn't bake well. You could paint the colouring on after baking. You can even use an air brush for that (not one you use for acrylic paint 😜)
Yes…I think you’re right. I need the powerful artificial stuff lol…OR a friend sent me the Instagram of someone who uses freeze dried fruit powder to color pie crusts!

She the best at crafting pies 🥰🐶
Can confirm: this pie was delicious 🥧
Looks delicious. Keep up the good work.
Yay! It Raquel!! 😍🥰🐶❤️ hope u had the best thank giving and u, Nick and Django eats lots treats 🐶🤤😋

Cherry and blueberry! 😋🤤 sound delicious! U should do a pile skulls on top of a “blood” pie! 🐶🥰
Wow sending me back to my childhood with the Ferngully reference. We got a rapping Robin Williams *and* a crooning Tim Curry in the same movie!
Haha I’m glad I could conjure up a memory for you! Now you’ve got me thinking…should I watch FernGully tonight? Haha🦇 🌳 🧚♂️

Can I get a blueberry one?
Thanks Baron! I really appreciate that 😂 And I can attempt it for you someday…I’ve never made a blueberry pie 🥧

Lol I actually made a TON of candy for my family 🍫
Very inspiring. Ill definitely have to make a spooky pie for my sis.

When you were making the leaves, the reddish dough almost looked like meat. 🤣 Came out looking great, though! Well done, as always
Oh mah gosh Jessy…the red dough looked terrible and scary…I didn’t use most of the footage from mixing that red dough 😂
