I once met a woman who was the most beautiful woman i have probably ever seen. she was in her 50s with salt and pepper hair, smile lines and crows feet, cellulite and sagging skin. when i complimented her and her natural beauty, she told me that she allows herself to age because she has lost friends who will never get to age. that has stuck with me for YEARS now and is why i’m not worried about aging. don’t get me wrong, i take care of my skin, but i don’t worry about getting wrinkles or turning gray because aging is a privilege that we often overlook.
I'm a 2x cancer survivor and every year since I was 13 is stolen; it's a miracle that I'm still here. Aging is such a gift. Seeing the signs of aging slowly makes their way across my features is a blessing.
@@skrtskrt22 there's people from my life who I would give ANYTHING for them to have been able to get more grey hairs or more wrinkles. Nothing is promised to us. Also, the patriarchy tells us that women aging devalues them, why is that? Because those women get wiser and put up with waaaay less bullshit 🤭
It genuinely breaks my heart that women are taught that aging is the worst thing we can do. That having the privilege of living in this world for longer than a couple decades somehow takes away from our worth as people. It's disgusting and it makes me so fucking angry. Why would I want to look 20 when I'm 40? If I survive 40 fucking years in this cold hard world I will be so damn proud of it!!! Ageing, surviving is a massive achievement that no one should feel like they have to hide.
I fear the obsession with anti-aging will get worse before it will get better. Especially for a lot of these young girls. You don’t really start to “age” until 50 maybe 45 depending. I’m speaking from experience. What are they going to do then? After a lifetime of procedures, what’s next? It’s not going to be good. Hopefully there will be a-lot of acceptance and spiritual growth but with influencers and capitalism who knows.
@@TracyD2 it has gotten so bad. i’m 32 and every day i’m reminded by women much younger than me how i’m supposed to be terrified of the big bad wrinkles coming my way and it’s so sad. i wear my sunscreen and if the worst thing that ever happens to me is wrinkles than i’ve lived a beautiful life.
I don’t see us shaming trees for having rings? Why do we shame people for wrinkles? It just shows how long they’ve persevered and how much they’ve learned.
I think those microfiber rolls are like the ones they sell at autobody supply shops. Throwing away microfiber rolls i think is more of a mechanic thing, after working on cars all day, if they get SOAKED IN LITERAL CAR OIL/GASOLINE, to the point you wouldn't want to put them in your home washing machine. 😡Not if they just get a little dusty from interior dirt!!
This was also my thought. I have occasionally bought "rag" packs (not actually rags, generally lint-free undyed cotton scraps) from the auto supply shop and I use them for applying stain/paint/oil etc in my art practice, I reuse them until they become so saturated they don't work anymore and then they do get tossed because you literally can't clean them and generally they are so crunchy they can't get repurposed. If you're buying that to just like, clean stuff around the house, get a good towel and put it in the laundry, you don't need this.
My spouse is a mechanic and you’re almost correct!! They use them until they literally can’t anymore. They don’t wash in between uses, they’re meant to be used to death in situations like cleaning glass or interiors or engine blocks. So even the mechanics and techs and porters are getting more use out of these rags than this woman.
When my dad worked in a mechanic shop in early 2000s they bought trash bags of rags from charity shops (made from unsellable fabric items they had gotten). These where super cheap and no reason to feel guilty when they went in the trash
Although you may be able to wash them, oil grease, turbine oil etc doesn't come out easily. And once these substances are in materials you can never throw that rag in a dryer due to fire risk.
@@Iquey I understand why you wouldn't want to put very dirty and infectious clothes into your washing machine. That being said, I wear my sweathirts out until they get holes or unremovable stains, then I wear them at home until they're uncomfortable and I make them into rags. I use them for the occasional extra dirty task like removing dog poo from the bottom of my shoes and throw those rags away after. That is of course very different to throwing away literal new towels because they touched some dust from inside the car! Ridiculous!
Let husband and I got a set of 6 microfibre tea towels when we moved in to our first place and they’ve lasted for years with zero sign of wear. These last a lifetime throwing them away is crazy
As someone who’s suffered with depression for almost a decade.. the day I noticed my crow’s feet was a bittersweet day because it means that everything I’ve been through, I was still able to smile enough for it to leave a mark. Wrinkles are not all bad, it’s all about how you view it
@@Onigiriedits for sure, I'm getting some early fine lines on my face and on one hand it's like "damn, time is running" but on the other hand (without getting too existential), we never know how much time we get anyway, and I'm glad for how far I got so far. Plus there are so many memories that I cherish that I didn't have ten years ago, and so many exhausting and uncomfortable things I'll likely never have to do again. I don't want to go back in time and have to relearn all those lessons either. My face is proof of my life, so to speak

My must haves in a car are, reusable rain ponchos, reflective vests, a tire fixing kit and jumper cables. Cause it's the stuff you never think you need until you actually need them.
Also a portable air compressor. After getting so many slow leak flats in New England, having my compressor on the go has saved me multiple towing bills.
I think in some countries some of these things are also required by law. But even if they were not, I agree that these are very useful items to have in the car.
My problem with the 'anti-wrinkle' straw is that it's basically useless. The skin on your face will stretch and move when you talk, eat, show emotion aka smiling, laughing, crying, etc and even if you use this straw you will still get wrinkles so all your doing is spending money on a useless item!!! And wrinkles are nothing to be embarrassed about! It just means you expressed yourself a lot when you were younger!

Seeing “the Amazon version” drives me wild because there was a time when cheap crap was considered so tacky (and honestly it had a lot to do with shaming poor people), but now it’s gone so far the other way that we are okay with alllll the cheap crap variations??? Ughhhh
"Cheap crap versions from amazon" is how we got litterboxes that are killing cats in horrific ways. In general we could stop buying cheap crap versions from amazon, temu, ali express and other cheap crap vendors.
I've seen this type of behaviour even with some big youtubers (cough cough Jaclyn Hill cough) who constanly share "dupes" from amazon. She even duped other people's stuff for her own brand. Like the constant "buy this buy that" content is getting so annoying and tiring.
The preventing wrinkle debate reminded me of the Barbie movie and the scene where she calls the older woman beautiful. I feel like it’s so dystopian that the same people who worship the Barbie movie are the same ones who are so afraid to aging. What’s the point of life if not to age
I think people are afraid of death and aging is associated with getting closer to the end and we all wanna “be forever young” and chase their youth over just enjoying it.
the excessive consumerism from making people (but especially women) feel bad about their bodies and ageing is just exhausting and upsetting. ageing is normal, and something to be proud of
@@amandak.4246 i feel like looking old is something to be proud of though? getting to see yourself and others grow older is such an amazing privelege that many people dont have. imo its beautiful but to each their own
@amandak.4246 Why, though? I understand wanting to feel younger than our age, but looking younger doesn't have any real benefits. Luckily, not everyone is obsessed with being decorative objects. So no, not everyone wants to look younger than our age.
If you have suede accessories like a bag, a suede brush and a suede eraser will do you a lot of good. They can refresh suede and remove the majority of surface stains in seconds. If they’re a common color, you can also get the refresher spray that helps support the color. I used to do this a lot when I worked for a high end leather repair
I grew up in a family were we had a rag pile, these were items that we didn't want and couldn't donate so we used them for ANYTHING. The microfiber cloth is insane to me
First time I tried making doll clothes as a kid was from our rag pile! Such a joy! Funny how those things grew in value for little me, after they where deemed as borderline trash 😂
My family did this too, and now my husband and I have a treasure bag full of clothes, towels and other fabric items that can no longer be donated. I've used some of the stuff as filling for craft projects, to make patches in things like ironing boards that don't have to be pretty, to make a prototype before I use nicer fabric and many other things. That bag has saved us so much money and it is fun to see how many ways I can reuse the stuff in there. There is one shirt that has been used in 10 different projects and is now back in the bag and will be used in at least one more before it ends its life as an actual rag. It is no longer shirt shaped and some sections of it are still in some projects, but it is amazing how far an old shirt with holes and stains can go after it is done being a shirt.
My family has been doing it since we were kids and we continue to! The thought of throwing away a microfibre cloth used once is bewildering to me. It’s so wasteful 😭
@jessicaketchup right!? I restock things when they need it lol I refilled my litter bin this week at pets mart cause I was out lol I will do everything I can to not buy stuff
My issue with that cutting board set is that cutting boards get worn down. the second those boards get worn out and thrown in the trash, the entire case with the sanitization light and all of that is garbage too. It’s gonna get thrown in the landfill because they probably don’t even sell refills, and most cutting boards that you buy from other companies aren’t gonna fit exactly in there either!!
yup! also they're plastic which harbors bacteria, the whole sanitization thing could be avoiding just by using a wooden cutting board (naturally antimicrobial), washing it with soap and using a different one for raw meat. maybe even a plastic machine washable one for raw meat so you can sanitize it that way if you're very keen on that. and the wooden proper one you can just sand down and re-treat when it gets worn out
@@paperigangstayep, glass are the best ones I’m told. Or stone? I have wood, but I don’t do meat so I’m not too worried. I bought my mum a glass one, and while noisy I really liked using it.
My kiddo needed a desk for homework and to play Lego without fighting the dog on the floor. He's growing and the desk height will need to adjust so instead of buying a kid desk then a teen desk I bought a big piece of finished edge board and heavy duty shelf brackets. Installed it at the correct height for now and I can raise it over time as he grows. I can easily refinish it to match his decor and once he's done growing I'll attach legs and bam, forever desk. 😊
Just a small non-critical reminder that ugg boots are an Australian invention intended for the Australian climate during colder months, where we don't experience snow in the majority of the country. I'm totally aware that the company Ugg has gained a load of popularity globally, but they are actually practical in their home country.
As someone who has cleaned the commercial version smoothie machines in a former job, I cringed at that one. Those things got so nasty, so quickly. Anything that's a pain to clean is a big no to me, regardless of the price.
I hate drinking from anything but a straw. Like I spill every time and I really like ice but having a terrible time if it touches my mouth. Also any straw is fine for lip lines as long as you suck right.
All you need to do is put the straw at the middle of your tongue. Medication wrecked my enamel and nerve damage means I need a container that is covered and with a straw. I started doing this for stability reasons and realised after these no wrinkle straws came out that the stability way does the same thing without having to buy a new straw.
We had greyhounds and they absolutely needed sweaters. One of them would have gladly worn pajamas (though we didn’t do this because they were warm in the house and blankets). Most dogs who need clothes only need them outside! That poor dog, the bath is ginormous for it!
So laughing at the no wrinkle straw. I’m 60 years old and I’ll have earned every wrinkle that comes. At least here in Michigan, the paw washing thing is used when the dog comes inside to get all the salt off their paws in winter, and mud off all the other seasons. Love these videos!
That poor dog being puppeted around and used to advertise is so off putting. Wouldn't be surprised if it became bad tempered, bitey and ultimately ignored by the creator.
That video was crazy. Who would buy anything recommended by her? It’s obvious she doesn’t even really like and use these products. When someone recommends you 500 brushes for a dog without any fur in them plus a pillow for the bathtub the dog can’t even use, don’t trust this person. Those products are more for the humans than the pet.
@Noonsie8 Also, who fills a bathtub like that for a small puppy? Small puppies really should always be able to stand in a tub with their heads above the water. If they decide to try to swim, that's fine. Just imagine that puppy making a mistake, and now it might be scared of the tub instead of learning it is a fun place to go.

Hey Shawna, you are correct this look is extremely cute! I wonder if you have ever done a deep dive into the "Buy it for Life" and "Right to Repair" subculture, I feel like it would be extremely up your ally. One piece I think a lot of us miss and that over-consumption media accounts capitalize on is the maintenance aspect: if we want our stuff to last forever, we have to put the work and occassional money in to take care of it! (But also we need to watch out for people capitalizing on this to try and sell us gimmicks 🤦🏻 consumerism really out here coming for all of us.)
Isn’t it wild that we live in a time were I, a girl from Sweden, can sit in my apartment watching another girl from another part of the world on a big screen, telling me not to shop and, I LISTEN! I deleted tiktok and I love these videos because I get to see what’s on tiktok without scrolling and getting stuck myself 🤣
My favorite thing on TikTok right now is the Beetlejuice make up trend. You need to have wrinkles and laughter lines to make it work and it always turns out so beautifully.
Hard straws are also dangerous. I know it sounds silly but in reality there are cases of children and adults accidentally puncturing their throats and bodies by accidentally falling while carrying their drinks and falling on the straws. Please be careful 😢
I started using a silicone instead of a hard straw in my cup when I'm in the car because of how dangerous it could be. And NEVER walk and drink with a hard straw.
I’m back to using my tervis tumblers that were hidden away. I also got my kids some tervis cups with lids. Their original cups had a huge lead warning that made it national news.
I feel so bad for that dog. She’s treating her puppy like a toy. As someone who just this year got a new dog, it’s disgusting. You literally don’t need any of that especially for that dog. Totally agree with you and other comments that some dogs require some of those things. Like the paw cleaner, certain brushes, certain shampoo, and sweaters.
Haven't watched the whole video yet, but the "microfiber towels" look a lot like what I would call "shop towels", which are basically a heavy duty paper towel that leaves less lint and can stand up to harsher use around machinery, grease, etc. Sometimes they can be rinsed and reused a couple times, but they are not really reusable in the sense of being machine washable or having long-term longevity. These towels are okay to clean the inside of your car with, but they're kind of a stupid choice--just use an actual microfiber cloth instead.
38:40 - the paw washer demonstration was hilarious because the purpose of the device is to wash muddy paws after you return from a walk. as a replacement for a full bath! Not as part of a bath!😂
Hearing the anti wrinkle straw girl say that she has been really into amazon lately, "just making random purchases" made me cringe. Random purchases on Amazon are my dopamine bread and butter. I have been so happy with the most random things I’ve found on Amazon. I take no hesitations telling the guests that a lot of these things are cheap and break immediately. I’d rather tell them the truth and convince people to stop buying them so as to not incentivize the company to keep making cheap crap. The overconsumption of stuff like that is insane
24:29 the fake leather omg 😫 sure the second hand marked value of purses can be discussed, but I would dare to say that buying real leather will always be a better investment than buying a plastic imitation. If you want to sell it, there is a way bigger second hand marked for real leather. The leg washer thing the lady is using on the puppy in that tiktok is for pawpads! Washing between a dog's toes can be pretty tricky, as there are lots of nooks and crannies, and a lot of dogs don't really like having their paws handled. I only know what it is because my best friend has a bernese mountain dog (she's HUGE) so that's the paw cleaning tool they use to groom her. I cannot IMAGINE what a tiny little puppy serves to gain by using it though! xD It looked downright silly with her putting that lil pup's whole leg in there, considering it's a tool usually meant to help clean the toes of bigger dog breeds.
Ive worked in dog grooming, dog training, as a canine nutritionist, and i worked in a pet shop. I always give the same piece of advice: dont waste money on unnecessary stuff (especially if its only for aesthetics) and dont spend of money on things for a puppy they will grow out of fast. Instead invest in a very very good quality puppy food, and on training. A good diet in the puppy stage, and a good foundation of training will serve your puppy well into old age. An expensive rhinestone harness that will not fit them in two weeks will not. Spend the money in the right areas. In terms of bathing, a good quality puppy shampoo and good brushes (especially for a puppy like the one in the video with a curly coat) are the important things, not stickers and matching towels for an animal that cant see pink.
It’s so weird to me. The older I get, the more “sustainable” I get. It’s probably bc my life is more secure financially but I’d rather invest in a small quantity of high quality items than a large quantity of crap. For example shoes. My Birkenstocks have lasted YEARS. It’s why I have a pair for each season (clogs, sandals, boots). The last time I bought a “dupe” they lasted a few months and fell apart. Same with cutting boards and real wool sweaters.
I just got the last short on my feed too. The dog is a teacup puppy, so it's been breeded intentionally super small just for the looks and from what I know teacup puppies breeding is not ethical because they have several health problems due to the size. But of course she has to buy the fancy cute breed just to match the aesthetic...
The slushie machine is wild. I instantly thought about how many Slurpees you could buy for $400. If you REALLY want to make slushies at home, I enjoyed my slushie magic cup as a kid and it was a cheap as seen on TV product that I still have. Plus it was healthier since I just put 100% juice in it

That is so insane I laughed out loud in my car
The dog video made me angry. That water is way too deep for such a tiny dog and she already has a bathtub! She puts the bin in the tub and then fills the bin up!
Im autistic and i have a profound interest in slushie machines and compared to the industrial grade slushie machines that are 20k dollars, i might think about investing in getting the ninja slushie machine because the texture of slushies makes the sensation of drinking liquids more bearable. I had a bad habit of getting about 4 slushies a day. If i had the ninja machine id make everything i drink into a slushie. I use to use a blender to make frozen drinks but 1) its not mine and 2) i cut my hands to much cleaning out the blender (it has removable blades :() but id definitely get it for myself after saving up. Plus it can prevent me from getting sick from the gas station slushie machines like in the past..
Omg I love when autistic baddies share about a truly niche interest! I hope u enjoy all the slushies ur heart desires. What r ur thoughts on the ninja creami? I heard that also has a slushie option
Yeah, you definitely sound like someone that would get a decent use of it. I can also see it being useful for shared spaces, community centres, offices, places like that. Places with a lot of people that would use it but not enough to warrant a full commercial machine. Also, I'm now realising that a shop I worked at had a slushy machine and I don't remember it ever being cleaned, and I'm the person that would volunteer to stay late and supervise while the floors were getting their twice annual professional clean and polish. Nobody ever asked me to stay late while the slushy machine was cleaned.
Hey Just throwing an advice in here, because you said you are cutting your hand. You do not need to stick your hand in a blender and clean it, you can pour water and a tiny droplet of dawn in there and blend it, then rinse with water, disassembly is not necessary. Stay safe!
i'm also autistic and i LOVE slushies so my mom is getting me a small 50€ slushy machine for christmas. the texture of slushies is one of the few things that give me food euphoria. i wouldn't buy a 400€ machine straight away though, my 50€ one is gonna be just fine for me

I got replacement soles a couple of years ago cause they were worn through and they are still holding up really well. And now they help me save on heating costs ❤
it is so upsetting to just be minding my business when some product comes along whose only purpose is to make me self-conscious about some new random feature of my face/body that's literally normal and no product will actually change (those anti-wrinkle straws)
@izzyd.9864 Why do you even need that many? 1 or if you have a pool, so you're using them often, maybe 2, so if it hasn't dried from the day before, you aren't trying to wrestle into a wet suit.
22:30 you can also literally just rent a slushy machine! My moms friend has done that in the past, for pool parties. It’s a fun little novelty item so that all the guests can make a slushy and have a fun drink and memory, but it’s not a daily use item. It’s WAY cheaper to rent than to buy one, and if you only use it one or two days in a year, it makes more sense. All in all, consumerism is a curse and people need to learn that you don’t need to buy everything you see just because it’s cool or novel. It’s truly just a waste of money, why buy something you will only realistically use once, maybe twice? All of these flashy items, clothing and gadgets that influencers insist you need lead people to being fiscally irresponsible. It’s truly worrying how many people don’t think about where they’re throwing their money. edit- never mind the environmental aspect, I didn’t even touch on it, but the reality is that these items will end up in a landfill one way or another
Yeah, I might have one slushy a year if that. It might make sense for someone with a gas station slushy addiction or something lol Personally, I wouldn't want to clean all the parts to that giant thing.
I find a good trick to avoiding getting things like this that I don’t need is to ask myself one simple question: “How many times will I use this in 2 weeks on average?” If it’s barely any, realistically speaking, then I don’t get it. Last little gadget I got was a microwave popcorn popper and I use that like 3+ times a week cuz I like popcorn. A jug of kernels lasts me 6+ months and the popper was $12.
So my nail glue spilled in my purse over a few lipsticks and the inside of the bag and I'm so sad I'm not the kind of person who'd just throw that shit away anymore. SMH. Scrubbing it all down with acetone is really gonna suck. Thanks a lot Shauna

I try my best to buy less and re-use items that I already own,
I use the little reusable towels in place of a paper towel, so I actually go through a lot of them per day. They're very thin, not like a typical microfiber towel, so they can't be used more than 2 or 3 times before they get too wet. I have kids, so we do laundry constantly. I just throw the used ones in with every load. If I didn't do laundry every day, I would easily need 50+ to avoid using paper over the course of a few days. All to say, I agree with you on most of these, but vehemently disagree on that one. Those towels have cut my family's paper towel usage down drastically.
Totally agree with you on the wrinkle discussion and giving women more things to worry about. As a 25 year old, I never thought about my expression lines around my eyes or forehead until I saw the discourse on TikTok. It definitely made me more aware and self-conscious. Thankfully, I have enough confidence to not care about preventative measures, but I did buy a moisturizer (which was probably a good thing anyways 😂)
@@nofaves I order from an online grocery store and they put things like laundry detergent or soap into large ziploc bags, the other stuff they use to pack is recycled materials. I keep the large bags and pack my cosplay costumes and separate dirty clothes and my undies and other things in my bags. I travel a lot.
I've been using the same cutting board I got for 25 cents from Dollar General for like...five years. It's glass. I feel like the wood ones just aren't safe. It's also pink and super cute 😂
I would think a glass cutting board would dull your knives? Due the the natural anti microbial properties of wood, they are quite hygienic and more so than plastic cutting boards, despite not going into the dishwasher.
I have 3 cutting boards. A large bamboo one, a small wooden one and a medium glass one. Neither one of them cost over 10 USD, but the prices are different here. The glass one is my go to for meat and stuff that tends to leak color, such as beets (easier to clean and even though in the dishwasher). When I need tu cut something small I would use the small wooden one, but before I had that I'd even use a flask small plateand it worked just fine. So yeah, 2 cutting boards might just be what you need.
I came across this video as a recommendation and was nodding in agreement through it. But, I have to add this- I got a pair of Birkenstock Arizona sandals for my 16th birthday and I'm still wearing them at 40. Birks may be pricier but they are meant to last. The company knows that wear and tear is inevitable, but they encourage repair over replacement and make it easy to find cobblers who can fix your shoes.
We have the mud buster (the dog leg washer) and we use it all the time. But we use it when we don’t want to give our dog a full bath. He’s a doodle and his paws get so muddy in the winter and spring when it’s wet outside.
the slushy machine is crazy bc the ninja creami literally has a slushie option + all of the other functions. money grab!!! i love my creami i use it every day but no way in hell id ever buy that shit 💀💀
I could see the microfiber towel being disposable if it gets like, disgustingly dirty with car oil or fluids (or things like vomit or feces in the case of kids or pets), but not if you are just using it to clean dust 😢 but also there are paper towels and other things to use instead if you really need to clean up such messes!
I first saw uggs when living in Australia where they were worn as house slippers during winter. Home heating is, or was not great thirty years ago so uggs make great house slippers. They are thé worst for rain where they basically act as sponges.
YES! Thank you, same here in my country, NZ. Our heating is awful. We don't have great home heating so we often wear things like that around the house.
Loving your videos !!! Found your channel last night and I am now watching many of your videos while having breakfast without that Ninja or that straw. LOL! 🙂 Cheers from Brazil.
For tok tok 1 theres a product called unpaper towels which is meant to be washed and then repacked into the roll, it sticks to itself, sure it isnt microfiber but if the appeal is to have the little roll it works for that purpose
I feel that with a lot of amazon must-have videos, they use the product, try to make some sales, and return the product. They get their money back, and they get commission. I especially think this when it's products you only see once or twice.
Aging is a beautiful thing. It shows wisdom and knowledge. An old painting is worth so much more than a freshly pqinted one, as long as it is cared for, respected and not worked on. Love your scars, wrinkles and imperfections, they tell yiur story and are a badge of survival.
The thing I've never understood is owning a drawer full of bathing suits if you don't live somewhere with free water (a swimmable lake, river or ocean) because I've lived a 20 min walk from the ocean my entire 25 yrs on this planet so far and the max I've ever owned was like, 3 suits. A bikini, a one piece, and a rash vest+shorts combo. Hell, I technically own 5 if you include the 2 other tops I have that can go with the bikini bottoms, but I almost never use those so I don't 🤷♀️ like where are ppl living that they need like 25 bathing suits??? I don't even own that many pairs of jeans and you can wear those year round to basically everywhere?!? 🤣 Like again, if someone is a daily swimmer or something, I could see the need for like, max 10 suits? That's 7 for the week and 3 spares, so sure. But wtf are you doing with more than that? 😅
@@doctorwholover1012 hahaha hahaha 😂 Right?!? I've lived within a block of the lake/ beach throughout my entire 5 decades of life (Minnesota) and I never need more than a couple of swimsuits at any point in time.
I bought a Dooney and Bourke bag from a thrift store, it was $25 (OG retail is was over $200) the outside just needed to be cleaned with some leather cleaner and it looked brand new! The only downside was a couple large pen stains on the liner but once my stuff was in the bag you couldn't see them! I would rather use something that still has some life in it then just buy some fast fashion from Amazon.
I have a big Costco pack of microfibre towels. I bought them when we were doing renovations on the house. I’ve only taken about 10 out of the pack and yeah some of them got thrown out due to renovation stuff. But the rest get washed. I use them for dishes and for cleaning the house and my car. I just keep them in my kitchen towel drawer
My mum just puts our little dog (a maltese) into the bathroom sink and uses slightly torn, old towels to dry her off. And yet she still turns out fluffy & cloudy as always. I can't with the bath schnickschnack wth😂😂
I have like, 40 microfiber towels but it’s because I use them to dry or clean things & they always get washed, never tossed. I have a whole bin full from 2019 & I’ve never needed to get more or throw any away.
They’re amazing at washing & drying things & I definitely go through all of them in a week. Then they get washed & back in the bin they go to get me through another week.
I lost my Dad when he was 54 after being chronically I’ll for at least 10 years. I will take any aging that I can get. It isn’t guaranteed.
"Aging is a privilege that we often overlook" needs to be on t-shirts, buttons, billboards and the sides of buses.
I'm a 2x cancer survivor and every year since I was 13 is stolen; it's a miracle that I'm still here. Aging is such a gift. Seeing the signs of aging slowly makes their way across my features is a blessing.

Ageing, surviving is a massive achievement that no one should feel like they have to hide.
trying to sell me an anti wrinkle straw while also having lip filler is just beyond insane.
I fear the obsession with anti-aging will get worse before it will get better. Especially for a lot of these young girls. You don’t really start to “age” until 50 maybe 45 depending. Hopefully there will be a-lot of acceptance and spiritual growth but with influencers and capitalism who knows.

These where super cheap and no reason to feel guilty when they went in the trash
ohhh this is an interesting insight, thank you for sharing!
Although you may be able to wash them, oil grease, turbine oil etc doesn't come out easily. And once these substances are in materials you can never throw that rag in a dryer due to fire risk.
Lmao "throw it away" is crazy! The thought of just pitching a microfiber towel into the bin gives me anxiety

I use them for the occasional extra dirty task like removing dog poo from the bottom of my shoes and throw those rags away after. That is of course very different to throwing away literal new towels because they touched some dust from inside the car! Ridiculous!

Also a portable air compressor. After getting so many slow leak flats in New England, having my compressor on the go has saved me multiple towing bills.
I think in some countries some of these things are also required by law. But even if they were not, I agree that these are very useful items to have in the car.
@Tatkitten I also have a towel, roll of toilet paper, WD-40, duct tape, and a few feminine hygiene products in a zip lock bag.
If you have suede accessories like a bag, a suede brush and a suede eraser will do you a lot of good. They can refresh suede and remove the majority of surface stains in seconds. First time I tried making doll clothes as a kid was from our rag pile! Such a joy! Funny how those things grew in value for little me, after they where deemed as borderline trash 😂
My mother still has a rag pile!

Of course, lots of vegan leather is actually pleather, but even then there's lots of different qualities, e.g. my second hand Stella McCartney bag that still looks like new even though I've owned it for 5 years now (and who knows how long the last person owned it).
@@dieSterbendeGiraffe I do have a couple of Stella McCartney handbags, and they are honestly very nice bags. I’m just talking about the knock off bags that as soon as you look at what they’re made of…. PU. I’ve honestly never seen one made out of pineapple. This makes me feel like I need to go to Hawaii now.
Can’t imagine continually cleaning slushie machine. And the calories in those glass coffee thingies - whoa!
Yeah. Even looking at that cup, I can literally feel my blood sugar skyrocketing.
I hate microfiber towels. Touching them makes my skin crawl like nails on a chalk board. Eeewwwuuuhh!
Yea microfiber gives me really bad texture issues ....
Me with my eczema hands lol
@@hermonorossco7988 riiiiight?😭
YES!!
Omg same!! Horrible
The thing that gets me in TikTok 5 is that she doesn’t even know which bag it’s a dupe for! 🤦🏼♀️ She’s just buying into, and also promoting, the hype around the item and wants the status associated with it.
The anti wrinkle straw is so colossally stupid. Number one contributor to mouth wrinkles is smoking. Don't smoke, and you'll not have to worry about mouth wrinkles. Also as someone with an artist's workshop, that roll of microfibre towels looks incredibly useful and I'll probably buy one to last me the rest of my life in that workshop 😂
My forever bag is a portland leather. We dont need trendy bags.
@@SimplyKatieWalks same! I adore mine. It's so high quality and goes with everything!
@ThePagesOfPeyton I got the mini crossbody tote in Dakota. It really is a year round bag!
I have the Portland leather sunflower mini bag and it’s a perfect all season color.
Good to know. My wallet broke in an unfixable way. I was deciding between buying one of theirs, getting an old dooney on eBay, or looking for one at an artist street fair I’m going to this weekend. I’m very particular on style so that will probably determine what I do.
I just bought my first Portland leather bag, and I love it!
I always keep old towels in my car... You know the ones that have holes in them and are kind of falling apart? They will do any job you need and you don't need to buy something new! 😂😂
Wrinkles will find you no matter which straw you use!
Idk. I am against straws because they totally cause wrinkles. I have a couple wrinkles but not around my lips because I won’t use straws.
@@MrsSantaMI am probably older than you, anti-smoking, don’t go out much and only sporadically use straws… and the sodding vertical lines have found me. I have thin lips and dry skin, and at this stage I think it’s basically 60-40 genetics and early and consistent sunscreen.
It reminds me of QVC and home shopping network, I would watch with my grandmother.
I've been VERY tempted by platform Crocs lately. Yes my fashion sense is tacky
@emory5533 lol, I think anything is fine. The important thing is if you will use it until it's worn out.
Plus it was healthier since I just put 100% juice in it
‘Here’s a pack of towels, to throw away or wash if you want to!’
‘Here’s a pack of underwear, to throw away or wash if you want to!’
‘Here’s a pack of silverware, to throw away or wash if you want to!’
😂😂 what on earth is with the microfiber towels that we might just throw away after a single use!????
I think that is a solid idea. Plus..as someone who has worked at gas stations…yea..we never cleaned the slushee machines….ever.
Hey
Just throwing an advice in here, because you said you are cutting your hand.
You do not need to stick your hand in a blender and clean it, you can pour water and a tiny droplet of dawn in there and blend it, then rinse with water, disassembly is not necessary. Stay safe!
i'm also autistic and i LOVE slushies so my mom is getting me a small 50€ slushy machine for christmas. the texture of slushies is one of the few things that give me food euphoria. i wouldn't buy a 400€ machine straight away though, my 50€ one is gonna be just fine for me
I'm German and my parents got my sister and I a pair of Emus when Uggs were really popular in like 2010 (I think they are slightly cheaper but roughly the same quality). We wore them outside for like 2 years, but I still have mine and use them as house shoes in the winter now.
People on amazon price gouge. I wanted an insulated water bottle.
My local store had them for 4,50. Amazon wanted 16. Same bottles.
The bikini organizer bags made me laugh because they are all they same color range and she explains says she finds her bikinis easier that way 😅
@izzyd.9864 Why do you even need that many?
It might make sense for someone with a gas station slushy addiction or something lol
Personally, I wouldn't want to clean all the parts to that giant thing.
I find a good trick to avoiding getting things like this that I don’t need is to ask myself one simple question:
“How many times will I use this in 2 weeks on average?”
If it’s barely any, realistically speaking, then I don’t get it.
@@hcf4kd1992 if the bag is leather, I recommend applying some mink oil or other conditioner after you finish cleaning. Acetone is super drying and your leather deserves some TLC afterwards. (Source: friends with multiple leather workers and one of the biggest things I've learned from them is I should be conditioning my leather goods way more often.)
I own mass amounts of microfiber towels, but I am a car detailer. That many for anyone else is definitely overconsumption
you're like a calmer version of hayley
I have pretty severe anxiety. I excessively use paper towels because if something even LOOKS like mold, i will never touch that thing ever again and it goes in the trash. 😢
I always have so much to say on your videos 😂 I live on the west coast, everyone’s uggs here were soooo water damaged (and don’t get me started on the stinky, squishy ballet flats lmao)
So fun fact but the American Ugg brand isn’t the real Ugg brand. The Australian one is the original and around the same price for significantly higher quality. Like it’s real materials not synthetic and they clean better
Thing about the anti-wrinkle straws is that they're probably useful for people who cant use normal straws or cups for whatever reason, but theyre not marketed for that!!! Theyre marketed for shitty beauty/fear-centric consumerism!!!
I mean, I have ONE microfiber cloth in my car but... A whole roll? What type of humongous car do you have to even STORE something like big c'mon
I bought a pack of fifty and have been reusing them for years. Not the rolls.
I'm a young feeling 64, and I don't use TikTok. What silly videos and products are being promoted! An anti wrinkle straw? Young people are so afraid of aging! Wrinkles are just signs of experience. You'll look better with a few wrinkles, not with a soul-less frozen face. There's so much over consumption, and most items end up in the garbage in a very short amount of time.
Those towels have cut my family's paper towel usage down drastically.
glad to hear they work for your family!
24:00 those bags are hideous 😂
OMG yes! 😂
She was literally doing her own version of freaking QVC too!!
Anyone miss the days before the amazon influencer program? When people talked about a product just to talk about it and not get paid.
The thought of cleaning the slushie machine 😭
I use ziploc snack bags to put each necklace in when I travel, so that they won't tangle. But I don't store them at home that way.
You can reuse those bags for vacations or getaways in the future for your jewelry or toiletries that leak.
My necklaces would tangle even on their own in a bag 😅
I like using straws to separate them 👍
That red sweater on you is 🔥 definitely a good color for you!
Always love your videos - thank you for sharing your level headed thoughts.
Knives are still super sharp 🤷
The company knows that wear and tear is inevitable, but they encourage repair over replacement and make it easy to find cobblers who can fix your shoes.
i've also heard that getting them resoled or fixed is easier to do especially compared with other brands. Thanks for this little tidbit!
Oh, I can just tell that the first bag will not last even one season. This material wears out so quickly let alone it collects all the dust
With the straw thing . Why don't they just put a regular straw on the side corner of their mouth like Carrie Bradshaw does lol
yes, also a thing for folks who enjoy the straws
@@shawnaripari thank you for all the time you put into your content!! I adore you!
We have the mud buster (the dog leg washer) and we use it all the time. But we use it when we don’t want to give our dog a full bath. He’s a doodle and his paws get so muddy in the winter and spring when it’s wet outside.
I'm hearing from a lot of pet owners this is supposed to be used in place of the bath, which makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing
the slushy machine is crazy bc the ninja creami literally has a slushie option + all of the other functions. money grab!!! i love my creami i use it every day but no way in hell id ever buy that shit 💀💀
also veja is SO UNCOMFORTABLE
I could see the microfiber towel being disposable if it gets like, disgustingly dirty with car oil or fluids (or things like vomit or feces in the case of kids or pets), but not if you are just using it to clean dust 😢 but also there are paper towels and other things to use instead if you really need to clean up such messes!
The straw is ridiculous…I’d be embarrassed to have anyone see me use it. 😂
You do look super cute!! I love the ponytail
Like again, if someone is a daily swimmer or something, I could see the need for like, max 10 suits? That's 7 for the week and 3 spares, so sure. But wtf are you doing with more than that? 😅

hahaha hahaha 😂
Right?!?
