Just wanted to add this since I didn't see it mentioned in the video or comments. A few nights prior to this Rona Rumble, Zain played in an all-smurf netplay tournament where he played as Fox under the name DontTestMe. He ended up making it to grands from loser's side and would have to play BobbyBigBallz, who he streams with very often, and does money/sub matches, sometimes with Roy. He had a sub goal to switch to Roy and it was met. He ended up winning both sets against BBB and winning the tournament with Roy. Great achievement for sure, just wanted to add to the back story
It shows that Melee is actually pretty balanced even with all the crazy exploits and shit that happens. The fact that someone who while REAAAALLY skilled is able to use a low tier character and win a Regional with it means that the difference between characters is not as important as the skill of the player.
I love watching Axe for this very reason. Wide range of potential on the lower tiers, but then doesnt disappoint on top tiers, and let's face it. He pioneered Pikachu to the tier he's in now. I dont think roy will climb the tier list. The fact that he had to win neutral 9 times to match Falco's 1 just shows that Roy is still trash. This is Zian flexing, not him claiming Roy is good.
Is having to win Neutral a lot a sign of a low tier? My Ultimate main usually has to win neutral 80% of the time to win, but has a pretty good and safe neutral.
I think Zain’s win could also highlight the skill differences of the people in PR, that there is enough of a difference from people who are ranked top 10 vs someone who is top 30
In a way, being low on a tier list actually helps the character a lot. people practice against good low tier characters very rarely. Yes Zain was incredible for winning with Roy, but with enough practice, people get use to playing against roy, learn how to DI and then he will actually settle in his proper place on the tier list.

"Ginger second only to mango and maybe one other person" Lol the disrespect get wrecked Westballz
And to PPMD
next years low tier city is gonna be an actual low tier city
It would be interesting to have a bottom 10 only WiFi tournament, I’m seeing there’s some whacky tourneys at the moment!
“A skilled Roy can kill any Fox”
Here’s to Roy hopefully climbing up the tier list!
I dont think roy will climb the tier list. The fact that he had to win neutral 9 times to match Falco's 1 just shows that Roy is still trash. This is Zian flexing, not him claiming Roy is good.
Mango also took games off Armadas peach with Mario
I though it would be a ultimate video about a player playing as roy, the koppaling
But zain is a melee player
Dad well done
That’s something Zero would have done, HBOX doesn’t clickbait THAT hard
Is having to win Neutral a lot a sign of a low tier?
My Ultimate main usually has to win neutral 80% of the time to win, but has a pretty good and safe neutral.
I half thought in the end when you said "and remember guys" you were gonna say "stay hungry"
Loved the style of this video
*"Roy's our boy"*
What kind of watch is the one that you have?
ROYS OUR BOY
I think Zain’s win could also highlight the skill differences of the people in PR, that there is enough of a difference from people who are ranked top 10 vs someone who is top 30
We'll get those dittos at some point after this stuff is all done with and it'll be great fun regardless of who wins.
9:26 oooooh
When are we gonna see you enter some more online Melee tournaments? I love your Melee content
There is so much more melee to play
Watch as the skilled Roy comments are coming
Ok where the VODs at
In a way, being low on a tier list actually helps the character a lot. people practice against good low tier characters very rarely. Yes Zain was incredible for winning with Roy, but with enough practice, people get use to playing against roy, learn how to DI and then he will actually settle in his proper place on the tier list.
