Great to see you sourced some vetiver grass. It is excellent for swales and will help prevent that erosion 👍

If you divide that Vetiver clump you have and plant it out in 50cm x 50cm spacing in a grid you have yourself a small nursery, which in a year or 2 you can divide again. For hedging you need 10 - 15cm spacing with Vetiver so you need a lot of slips for each hedge. Cheers

I, too, acquired some cool tools from my father and grandfather.
    They'll outlast today's tools
    Never throw away tools

Concrete for water tanks is a bit rich and $$$. I dug out the top soil and put some 100x35mm treated pine surrounds and some geo fabric and then crusher dust with a compactor from bunnings - hard as a rock and 2 x 27000L water tanks have been there for 10yrs. You going poly or steel? for steel supposedly sitting on corrugated iron sheets helps them last bit longer from rust.

He's in the best place he can be right now. Mum's staying with us at the moment so we've been ringing him & chatting together which has been great. I think he remembers me better when mums involved in the conversation.
Thanks Jason & all the best mate.

G'Day Rob, Great video as always... When it comes to moving the new improved chook house for the "crazy cluckers" ;) you might like to start thinking like an Egyptian. A couple of round logs under the base and the structure pulled by the tractor should get it moved pretty easily. If you still need to cut off the bottom, then do that after you move it... just a thought...

"You know what FORD stands for right? Fix It Again Tony". Random King Of The Hill joke I think of when a I see an old Ford getting worked on.

Hi Rob, definatly a good tool score, i would guess the tractor steering had cotter pins , and it was welded up cos you can't get them anymore, or maybe prev, owner got sick of pins working loose, good luck voting out labor vaccine crazys.

Haven’t touched my greenhouse never got it up.
But anyways, I got a plastic 350 gallon tub. I got some minnows and panfish and a 5 gallon bucket of cat tails. Do you know that American cat tails you can pick them and eat it like asparagus spring you can dig the roots for like potatoes And there’s a couple other things you can do with it at the right time. Talk to you later..

Never get ride of tools, though sorry to hear about your Dad. Australian/New Zealand opossums are so cute... here stateside they're terrifying monsters.

Opossums that you deal with are a different thing. Our possums (no O) are small and soft and fluffy and you can punt them over the nearest fence. They are native to Aus and are protected, but they are a big problem in NZ as an introduced (from Australia) species. Never get rid of tools.
