With some light research on google maps I found out that this *is* Oshima island you two were on, right with the guess and a very real place, with a few other places inserted on such as Hiroshima being this island when it is on mainland Japan, and Akita replacing a city called Okunokubo. Cool looking map and the real life place doesn't look too bad either as a place to go. IF you plan on going back to Oshima good luck to you guys

Cherry blossom I believe was the tree, not sure why it was purple? And I dont believe there are any purple trees anyway. Definitely different and cool though. I already live this map and you all just started. The grass alone is beautiful.

As great as these maps are terrain wise, I simply can't enjoy them because of the buildings. Seeing russian style architecture in maps that take place in America or Japan kills every bit of immersion into the setting that the maps are trying to go for. Yes, I completely understand that the map makers can't use a complete set of new assets. It just sucks because they are very talented, yet being held back by the tools provided to them.
