Love that train. I was fortunate to have been invited to the launch party at the LEGO Store in Leicester Square. It was a lavish affair with canapés and cocktails provided by a very posh restaurant which is based in the Old War Office, which is now a luxury hotel with apartments, the best of which only costs 25 million dollars to buy. But, you are only seconds away from where the U.K. Prime Minister lives!
At the event was the sets fan designer and the senior LEGO designer who were both a delight to speak with. I also chatted with the VP for LEGO Retail and, the highlight for me, was talking with the Orient Express Director for Art and Culture. He had actually obtained his PhD by researching the history of the Orient Express. We chatted about the demise of the U.K. and French post office trains. La Poste, as with Royal Mail, no longer sort mail on the go, which he was rather unhappy about, especially as he explained the French national railway, SNCF, had scrapped all their sorting cars. Thankfully, many of the U.K. carriages are now in private collections as well as the National Railway Museum.

2:20 definitely closer to the knights castle rather than the black falcons fortress. i enjoyed the GWPs and black friday deals better than previous years. glad you finally picked up the 90th anniversary castle 🏰

I had to get the Grey Castle too, it was a neat little set. At first I thought the color of the Forestmen statuettes was all wrong, being sand green, now I think they pop against green just enough. True, that the collected VIP-points took a hit - but worth it for a unique, nostalgic thing. You are correct that it's a scaled down version of Black Knight's castle from 1984.

You;ve mentioned before on other videos that you don't like people advertising the same item ovwer multiple platforms (ie, selling the same item on both eBay and Mercari simultaneously).
Why is this exactly? From a seller's perspective, this seems like a smart move because it extends the reach to more people (Google even recommends doing it).
Because if a sale occurs on both at the same time then someone is left out. I’m talking about a single item. I’ve had multiple sellers over the years that “can’t find” the item. While mistakes can be made - it’s inexcusable to have the item be missing because you sold it on one site and forgot to take the listing down on another
/nods/ The reason I asked is because a seller just did this to me. I requested some pertinent information on a HTS item. The seller said they would get the information to me later in the afternoon, and had agreed to accept my offer on the item (I made an offer via DM, which I'd pay if the information they gave me was favorable).
The seller provided the information, and I submitted my offer.
The next morning I went to check on it. The item was gone, but not listed as sold. I did an advanced search and found the item was listed elsewhere. My guess is that it sold on the other site.
I guess dude made more money that way, but there's something annoying about it, nonetheless.@@BrickTsar
