Hotel Mario's Dark Death Animation

So if Mario or Luigi happen to be in a elevator at the sametime with a koopaling...the koopaling will come out and burping out the Mario's hat implying he's eaten the plumber.....
What is it with CD games having dark stuff in them, first Sonic now Mario.

Koopalings Morton and Roy spit out the hat, others (Larry, Ludwig and Wendy) do not.
Bowser doesn’t eat Mario/Luigi, but grabs him from hiding.
Lemmy and Iggy are one of the bosses that can’t eat Mario/Luigi in elevators or doors.

This is still pretty tame compared to his drowning animation in mario 64.

There are moments where a character gets eaten alive in a Mario game before, so what makes this one so different?

@@megatoonEJE Think cus it shows them digesting Mario, with just his hat being the only thing left, shows really that's all Bowser needs to do to beat him, just eat him like a dinosaur 🦕 or a lion 🦁

@ClassicSonicSatAm Yea but it's not like you actually see him getting eaten. All you see is Morton come out of the elevator and spit his hat out. Pretty tame and cartoonish.
