Hi Love, I am currently taking my pre-reqs at a community college in Michigan and was looking to hopefully go to ASU for dental hygiene. How many tries did it take you to get in the program? Do you need to have an interview?
Hi!! 💕💕🫶🏾🫶🏾 This is great news! 😊 I applied for the program once and I got accepted…I do not think any of us who applied were waitlisted. No, there were no interviews that took place. I just followed the requirements in the ASU DH program packet, such as take teas test, take pre reqs, write an essay, shadow a hygienist at two different offices, etc. I hope all goes well with you applying for DH school. God bless. 🙏🏾💕
@@Shan_Carr This makes me feel so much better about applying! I'm applying to so many different schools hoping to get into one! I wish you best of luck on your DH Journey! So happy to see young black excellence in this field. Gained a new subscriber💝
Thank you so much!!💕💕 I’m really glad I could help. What God has for you no one can take away, and I hope that you’re accepted to the exact school God sees fit for you.🙏🏾🫶🏾
Hello. I just found your channel and subscribed because I saw that you are dental hygiene student and that you went to oglethrope but transferred. I'm considering OU and am interested in studying dental hygiene, so I am interested in why you transferred? Also What has been your experience as a dental hygiene student? Do you have any tips of advice?
Hi Alana! It’s great that you’re considering dental hygiene!!🥰💕 🦷 I’m so excited for you! I transferred from Oglethorpe because it was not a good choice financially, and I did not want to have my parents paying that much for me to go to school. I received financial aid and I applied for scholarships before I left high school but it was not enough to cover tuition at OU. Overall, it was a great experience. I really enjoyed living in the area, it was nice and quiet. I met some awesome people there and my instructors were nice too. Dental hygiene school has been challenging, but an amazing experience. I have learned so much already. My advice would be to have multiple colleges in mind when applying, and consider the costs, campus life, alumni, and living area. Apply for many scholarships, and keep applying even when you’re in school. Look at the schools curriculum/general education requirements carefully. You may not want to spend extra time taking classes you don’t need, unless you are just curious about a certain class. Take your prerequisites first, if you can, then apply for the program so you can focus solely on dental hygiene courses. Make connections, but don’t tell your personal business to everyone. Be aware of your surroundings. Always PRAY to God about everything. 🙏🏾 Study everyday, but also make time for God, yourself, and those you love…it’s possible to do all. It’s okay to change your mind about your major. 💕
