Nice work Robert,
Wow, the CPL makes a huge difference on the A119 Mini 2.
I’ve always wanted to make one of these comparison videos but, I’ve never had two of the same dash cam to film simultaneously.
If by any chance you still have both Mini 2’s on the windshield, could you do this again at night to show how much darker the footage is with the CPL left on.

Viofo doesn't mention manufacturing dates on their boxes. Is there any way to find out if one has got the mini 2 with the updated lens or not?

If you purchased it before July 2023, you definitely do not have the updated lens. If purchased July 2023 or later, I would suggest opening a support ticket with VIOFO via the website and asking them if your dash camera's serial number was manufactured after the lens change.
