Posted on wet canvas airbrush section (www.wetcanvas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=114) how using an airbrush was pretty much a loosing proposition. Especially here in Australia. Your tutorial is nice, but would love to see your view on this subject. To be honest ask yourself how much commercial demand there is for airbrush work of any kind?

Hey my friend just saw this as I am now revamping the channel and will be adding more content. Please excuse the tardy response. As far as your question, in my humble opinion, it's not about the medium but the execution. I started out as an Illustrator working with traditional medium, oils, brush, water colour, etc. I gravitated towards airbrushing because it allowed me to get the jobs done faster, easier, and frankly, that's where the money was at for me. However during my 30yrs plus career as an artist I have always depended on my traditional training and the airbrush is just simply another tool at my disposal. I'm very fortunate and grateful that my business has been flourishing for the longest. It has been a slow steady arduous climb but it has been a task that I'm very passionate about. During my whole career till present, the airbrush is used about 98% of the time, the other 2% is digital and Photography. I've move into more commercial work, fineart, and private commissions, in the end some clients don't even bother to ask what medium I'm using, they're just interested in the end result. I think I could use a match stick to paint and it wouldn't matter as long as the execution was on point. I hope that answered your question.
