This brand, as well as my customers, are extremely important to me, and I've taken your feedback to heart. I want to be able to improve to the best of my ability, and I strive to do better.       Hi Courtney!! Please do not worry at all, I had it fixed in just a few seconds and it was no big deal! This is truly just feedback and if you can take anything and it be helpful for the future, that is all I can hope for because this is a GORGEOUS palette and the payoff is really good (especially the neon chartreuse shade which can be hard to nail) I truly appreciate you coming here (and watching at all lol) but also for having an open mind and considering anything I have said, because it really really is only from a place where I want good things for you, Smink and your brand.
      You guys did an awesome job on this collaboration, it was one of my favorites both swatched out and once I actually used and I can’t wait to see what you come out with next!

    I had 2 shades broken and a 3rd almost broken. I contacted them and they patiently walked me through fixing the shades as well as the framing cleanup. They of course offered to reimburse, not sure to what level, but I got it back to almost perfect condition. I really appreciated the immediate customer service. I like the palette, only one color hard to work with. I would purchase from them again and I'm so glad I got this.

      It is so nice to hear that they walked you through it like that! I’m glad yours was saveable!!! Mine was a quick fix and worked great afterwards. They have been really kind in being open to the feedback with a great attitude and that is all you can ask for from a brand so I will also be purchasing again!!

    I think Smink is not only one of the most talented artists on IG, but also one of the most kind as well. I wish I could've bought this just to support her, and because I really enjoyed her last collab, even though it turned into a nightmare for her. But for over 2 years I've been buying as many things as a reviewer, many thousands of dollars, yet since I'm disabled myself, I very rarely leave my house and haven't gotten to enjoy using everything I have and I'm discovering the squishy shades don't hold up nearly as well as standard type shimmers and things I've used once, and not even all the colors, are becoming to dry to use or don't wear well on the lid. So I'm trying not to get taken in by color stories and really look at what I have or know I will use in a palette I'm considering. And unfortunately I have all these shimmers, some many times over, and I don't mind mixing palettes, so I decided it wasn't worth the cost to me, personally. But I think it's an incredibly beautiful palette, and Smink did an amazing job curating the color story. As far as the brands response, I hate it when brand owners use disability or health issues to gain sympathy or to excuse a problem. Her disability has nothing to do with why shades arrived broken, and saying is just a way to get people to feel too bad to rightfully complain about a legitimate issue. They all have my upmost respect because as a disabled person I know how hard just getting through the day can be, and I haven't worked in over 20 years. But I also know that if I say I'm going to do something, I do it, and I do it well, even if I know I will pay for it later in agony. I don't think this was bad enough that I wouldn't support her in future releases, and the fact that she took the time to talk people through fixing it was pretty cool, but there are other brands that have done this that I have written off. There is a brand that just started that is disabled own that I was really excited about but only a few weeks in she made a post that said she was done with people being mean in her comments about her palette, and what kind of people would do that to a disabled person, and she was quitting because it wasn't good for her health to read the comments. Then she marked her palette 40%off on Etsy. And then waited for people to talk her out of it. Only a few weeks later her palette is full priced and she already has a 2nd one out too that's doing quite well. But she lost me with that post because what's she going to do the next time someone says they don't like her quality or her color story (and tbh I didn't like the color story of the first palette either). Telling people they can't give their opinion because it's not good for your health doesn't sit right with me. And saying you're quitting 2 weeks after starting your brand is even worse. Idc if you're disabled, and Idc if you're overwhelmed, there is no excuse for unprofessional behavior. Everybody has got something they are dealing with. I'm glad you said something about this. I honestly thought I was alone in feeling this way and as a disabled person am just overly sensitive to it.

      Okay, I have to say that you are very well spoken and I am now curious if you have a background in writing. I completely agree about Smink, she is so kind and uplifting and talented. I honestly shouldn’t have picked up anything (trying to watch money) but I just love her and wanted to support her especially after SAS… I totally agree that if you have any of the PRC brands that you already have most if not all of the colors, I am actually getting ready to downsize my collection soon for this reason.
      I think if it isn’t pointed out, a person or a brand may not even notice it or realize how it sounds. I know I have said stuff like this, probably not in this context but now I TRY to be cognizant of what I am saying and do better and the brand did actually watch and reply that they were considering everything I said and their response seemed genuine. Now I haven’t seen any remarks about direction regarding the broken shadows or the statement, but maybe she is meaning in a moving forward sort of way. You definitely weren’t alone and I felt awful for bringing it up because like you, I don’t take disabilities lightly because I know what a struggle it can be to do things that other people never even think about, but it just didn’t have a place in the statement and I do hope that the brand will look into what I brought up because I really mean it from a place of growth and would happily buy again.
      Ooooo okay I am very very very curious what brand you are referring to now because I had heard that the owner of SAS was rebranding and that sounds like her behavior. If you feel comfortable sharing privately, message me on IG with the brand name?

    This palette is SO PRETTY! But I can see I already own those exact same shimmer shades from other brands. I could justify if there was some color differences but not for getting the same exact shades. I wish these P.L. brands would try harder to get some different shimmers in their palettes. Even if they had to hand mix and press just 2 or 3 out of the 6 shimmers, etc...

      I definitely understand where you are coming from here, for me even though I do have duplicate shadows and the formulas are similar, it is having all of these in one palette and in a color story that I’m actually drawn to that makes me still purchase even with the duplicates. I hate dipping into a bunch of palettes for a look, I will, but I prefer for it to all be in one place lol and that neon chartreuse color is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

      @@jaclyntriesit I am at the point where I've begun depotting and repanning palettes too. And I see at least 4 of these shimmers I know I have and probably have the other too. I just can't bring myself to spend $50 when I can build the color story with singles, etc. But we are all at different places with our collections and different preferences. They are definitely on my radar tho! The artwork is pretty 😍 I love that they are working with content creators too. And the color story really is so pretty! Even if 2 or 3 of the shimmers were different enough I would have bought it. I think a lot of people are starting to see the repeat shimmers (from the makeup lovers I talk with), so I think it would be well worth for PL brands to outsource for at least a few standout shades for a palette. Just to give it a New look. A lot of Indie brands palettes have started to look the same.

      @@charmedbymeghan honestly it is so fun to work with shadows as singles and be able to build your own palette or your own variation of a release! I don't blame you at all, Smink is a friend of mine and I wanted to support her and pick this up but I have been on kind of a low buy.

      💀💀💀💀 in fairness, the brand was so so kind and open to the feedback and genuinely seems to care so her response paired with the honestly great performance of this palette ensures that I will definitely be buying again! I just hope that how much I enjoyed the palette also came across because it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    This is such a pretty palette! 🎨 I am always hesitant to try new eyeshadow brands because of my super oily lids, but this one is tempting. 💜 I do agree about the packaging - a palette should have a little more bubbles around it... I only had one eyeshadow arrive broken once, and although I also repressed it, it was kind of upsetting. 🙈 The looks you did are absolutely lovely, and so is your cat! What is his/her name?

      Oooo that would be tough, my hair is oily, but my face is less so at this age lol I do think it has good longevity but if you do pick up, definitely try a matte shadow base under it, maybe like the mac paint pots 🖤 I am so glad yours was an easy fix, I’m feeling bad for people who did not get as lucky 😭 and he is Leo!!! He is the good best boy as I call him lol we have another massive, fluffy cat named December too but she is a daddy’s girl lol do you have any furry friends?

      @@jaclyntriesit Mac Paint pots don't really work well for me - even the best eyeshadow will last for about 5 hours only, but their 24h eye base is pretty good. Without a base there is no eyeshadow I can wear for more than 20 minutes. 😄 And oh, so sweet - give my hugs to Leo and to December! I have a cat, too - his is a big, fluffy and very kind and loving boy named Ilyusha! 😍 I sometimes show him on my channel when I can, but more often than not he is camera shy. But can agree to star for treats. 😄

    Smink is such an artist! She’s amazing! I purchased the palette to support my friend, Nat. Mine came in pretty bad shape. I haven’t tried to fix yet. I’m bummed though, because I really don’t feel called to the brand, and the only way I’d use store credit is with something that speaks to me. I did not feel the brands response was a good one. I don’t think they should replace the whole palette, but the shades that were broken, either with a refund or to order, and ship to buyers. i don’t think it’s necessarily my job ti clean up and fix a palette, and honestly finding the time is challenging. I also have immense empathy for disabled brand owners, or anyone disabled, but you can’t use that as an excuse for a stressful situation. We need to always meet people where they’re at, but if you say you can run a brand, than you need to be able to run the brand, issues and errors included. This is a great review. I’m happy to have supported Nathalie, and I will continue to support her in all she does ❤️❤️ I’m looking forward to being able to swatch mine (I can’t cause it’s a mess right now) because some of the neons look pretty

When I saw your shadows, the one I wasn’t sure how you would fix it honestly but the brand genuinely seemed open to the feedback so hopefully it will work out 🙏🏻🙏🏻 and I agree totally about not replacing entire palettes for one or two shadows, some people will take as a of brands and that is NOT okay either, just the average of the damaged shadows refunded. I can’t picture working like you do and finding the time to fix your shadows 😭 truly the owner seemed very kind and willing to hear my feedback and so I am hoping that it will make for a great experience for others 🖤 honestly I know our eye situations are different but I loved the way these performed and I hope when you are able to use yours that you do too! I also hope you have a great day off!

    Smink is so talented and gorgeous. Love all her looks. I love the colors in the palette they are beautiful. The green shade firefly came broken to me, but it wasn't a big deal since I repressed it. I didn't mention it in my post since it was only one shade. I appreciate your critique of the brand. I hope they learn from this and improve their responses to customers. Love seeing your kitty cat in the back 😍 🐈

      Her creativity is insane and I completely agree! I have been loving using it! Repressing mine was very fast and easy but I had a few friends whose came in harder to fix shape and neither were familiar with pressing 😭 the brand seems to genuinely care from the response to my video and were open and kind to the feedback, which you can’t ask for more than that from a brand so I can’t wait to purchase more from them! And omg he has been such a good boy and a cuddle bug recently!

    Ohhh hell nah! They send the palette in that kind of packaging to save THEM money on shipping. Because it looks like they charged enough to ship in a box... and then say they can tell you how to repress 🙄

      So the shipping that I paid was actually CHEAP compared to nearly everyone else and I do think maybe they really thought that was an easy solution for people, but I was lucky and my shadow was an easy fix…two of my friends however had theirs puffed out all over without a hope of repressing. I think finding a balance will solve everything for them, adding on that basic insurance, more bubble wrap and the improvements that their lab is already making to the formula (though the performance was awesome) would be a winning trifecta lol

    This brand is already on my nerves. Her health issues has NOTHING to with her business. She knows her health issues and she decided to go into business. The customer shouldn't "suffer" because of her health problems. This is coming from someone that has health issues too, so I feel for her on a personal level. But this is business.

      In this context I completely agree, now if the disability flared up etc and time off or extension was needed due to it, communicating that would make complete sense to me and I would have no issues waiting it out. She probably didn’t mean for it to sound that way and I am sure that I have said something similar and not realized that I did the same thing. People are human and I appreciated her kind response and genuine interest in taking in my feedback. A lot of owners can’t be that objective and it spoke volumes to me.
