And making your eating pattern a routine, whether you have a performance or not, will help reduce stress, especially combined with an exercise regime. Eating after the gig, and night-time eating in general is also better avoided. I adopted similar habits when I was diagnosed as type 2 diabetic, and it worked wonders on my general and mental well-being. I sleep better too.
