Koei showcased some new gameplay with their japanese livestream and also posted a developer video on their english page. I took all the new gameplay i could (english and japanese) and put them together along with the two trailers I saw for the game (one in english and the other japanese). If there's more gameplay out there, I'll try to upload it as well. Enjoy
This game looks really good Rubhen. I have high expectations that this game will be a good entry in the Atelier series and a good early JRPG to play in 2025. I’m planning on getting some of the Atelier games that are available on the EShop to hold me down until Yumia finally comes.
I am so excited for this game thank you so much for putting this video of gameplay. I didn’t watch the live stream, but I didn’t get to watch it when it first went live so now that I’m watching this video I am so excited for this new entry in the series I have not played, any of the games but I was always interested in playing because I do love the company that makes these games and this would be the perfect entry because I always wanted to play the other ones but I never got the chance to but now with this new entry and the series, I might have the time to play it to actually buy The game and I know it’s gonna be such a good game because from what I heard that this game is going to be open world which is kind of a shocker because usually these games are more linear than open but it’s a nice change for the company and for the series actually because I know that the other series or the other entries Try to do open world and I think one of them actually made the game open world and it worked really well so I think for this game is gonna work even better
The real-time action system seems interesting. Haven't played an Atelier game since the Rorona trilogy; the ones after didn't really inspire me, despite Ryza being such a big hit, but might actually try this one as a return to the series =03.
Game looks absolutely beautiful. The combat system kinda reminds me of the Xenoblade series which I had a tons of fun with. I'm already pretty hyped for this, definitely getting this.
I know I should be happy atelier is still going but the fact with Ryza and now this series they are trying more and more to appeal to the main stream like they did with the Iris series it makes the series loose its identity
@natsudragon6007 that's a you problem. Atelier started with turn based and stayed that way until ryza. It shouldn't abandon part of what made the series what it was before ryza. It's like what final fantasy did, which was a bad thing. Completely abandoned what made the series in the first place.
played quite a few atelier games before...quitted half way on some of them. cuz the inventory management issues really put me off. I just hate it when the "inventory full" message pops up
No. they typical do arcs of 3 games before starting a new story, in a new land, in a new time, with new characters. And since Ryza had three games this one will be the restart.
@@chloeryanvtuber this game will ( I think) be great no matter what the battle system is like. and for those of us who have played the ryza games, knowing that battle system, should make it easy. turn base is also fun though
After playing vision of mana, the graphic on this game just looks flat. Better than the other atelier games. vision of mana has spoiled me graphic wise. Combat in this game looks better than mana, though.
The combat looks good and seems open world or the map gotten wider. the Map and Synthesize on Ryza 1 was so bad. glad we will have more mobility and interaction on environment. Character design is also good and I'm a fan of guns so I'm looking forward to it.
The Switch may not be a powerhouse like PS5 or the new Xbox, but it can run AAA games without a problem. Nintendo handhelds today are no longer underpowered stuff that developers need to design exclusive versions of games to run on limited hardware.

There is one in Atelier Escha & Logy. You can choose your MC, one being a man. Also, there are already thousands upon thousands of RPGs out there with male MCs, it’s actually hard to find some with a female MC, so I think Atelier having mostly female protagonists isn’t a bad thing at all. Male MCs are already heroes everywhere else, it’s nice to get some female heroes as well.
@@nova-kiin First off, I was speaking specifically about the Atelier series. Nice to see that there is one with a male lead. A part of why I had not checked out the series yet is because of this very reason. Also, while I am very well aware about the current ratio of Male vs Female MC's in gaming in general, I thought that there had been a major upsurge in Female MCing, to the point that it seems expected that the Hero is most likely going to be female.
Mostly Gust studio marketing are focused on male user with using nice body girl and Yuri(GL) Thats why you can see less male chara in every atelier game.
There's even a spin off Mana Khemia with a male MC too. And less so for the fan service albeit it's always been in the series. For a long time the Atelier series did market to a mostly female demographic since it's (for most entries into the series) A soft slice of life with crafting elements and social elements. You can see this easily with it's Atelier Rorona saga with Atelier Escha and Logy branching out to bring in a male audience into the game, and the recent Atelier games having big fan service like thicc thighs Ryza. The reason why the Atelier series is mainly female is because it's a series with a long tradition of female protagonists specifically a Gypsy based women like the very first alchemist Atelier Marie. Which then branched into a typically magical girl aesthetic.
The three Atelier Iris games all have male protagonists: Klein, Felt, and Edge. They all play the main roles while the titular Iris is an NPC. The exception is AI3, where this version of Iris is the main heroine, but you still play as Edge throughout.
@@Ela-jz3zg Do you mean the character at 8:39? That's a girl, her name is Lenja. Otherwise, there is also Kiryu-voiced humanoid dragon-looking thing (8:12) and some older dude (7:57), both clearly males as well. Now that I think about it, it might've been a bait
