    They confuse Stealth and EWAR so badly @1:11:51 ... Stealth is and has always been low detectability. They had it so right in 2.x days when you could see a ships EM/IR/CS signature and there were thresholds in order to get a lock. Stealth ships were great for breaking target easy and hard to lock on missiles. These days there is almost no point to stealth.

    Its so hard to watch them struggle with their daily jobs. Always go for the impossible and try to reinvent the wheel. The project is practically doomed, its us backers giving them enough money to stay alive, while delivering practically nothing.

      Bet all the broken promises, missed deadlines and cut features needing to be sold to the community as temporary setbacks kinda kill the soul & body over time... especially over such a long time.

    My biggest takeaway from this SCL is as you said; the Art and Marketing team is finally starting to crumple under the reality that all the cool things they've drawn up and concepted for the game, now need to actually start working properly because people are beginning to get tired. You've made your fancy concepts and ships, now it's time to take a back seat so they can be made to actually WORK.

    Cargo hauler's special QT drive could, imho, be more interesting as a sub component for any drive. They've discussed subcomponents at length, and even shown models for them. The sub component could "counter jam" the pirate QED jam frequency, phase the drive correctly to avoid it. Only get the little sub component with high rep off some dealer somewhere in person, could be a little side quest. Hey, it's free to dream!

    You know what would make ground vehicles useful?
    Put turrets around jumptown and a console that allows you to make them friendly to your group so the attackers have to come on foot or fight a dozen turrets.

    As an electrician I can say that every manufacturer makes the light shine the same way , a 60W 3000 kelvin 540lumen LED light from company A will produce the same light as a 60W 3000 kelvin 540lumen LED light from company B.
    I have no idea why CIG wants to diversify lights at all because it makes no fucking sense at all and I'm pretty sure , 2000 years into the future , glowing bulb lights won't exist anymore either.

    it's so great to see developers being so confident in their design... I'm much more optimistic now about the future.... they just oozing confidence and pride. It's great they finally know what game they making after a decade of planning and diligent consideration.

    What you said about feedback is exactly true, the dev's don't need solutions, they have 1001 solutions to implement for any given feature and anything you suggest they probably already have tried or have waiting in the wings.
    They need your problems with things so they can try those other ideas they already have, or they need your praise for things so they know the idea they had is working as intended or at least in an enjoyable way.

    Simply mimic GTAV motorbikes for fun, even their weight system for cars is better than many racing games. They simply need to make small rocks destructible, for no one will miss them. Then check the mass of the vehicle that hits the rock, and if (Mass of vehicle * 100 > Mass of Rock) then (shatter rock much like mining) else (remain solid and mess up the experience). Then you wont have to worry about tanks or massive ships being stumped, stopped, flipped, etc from those small insignificant rocks. Or simple fix reduce the damn clutter spread.

By proceeding you agree to nothing having a deadline, nor the features mentioned having to actually be functional or in game."
    In big bold letters at every login & purchase, having to press OK twice just to be sure. 😂😂😂

    One of the reasons i never bought a ground vehicle is because theres so much shit scattered about to run into.
    Hurston is a goddamn nightmare.
    Jared should really refrain from making comments like those he said about resource management affecting master modes and QED.
    It affects expectations negatively.

    @SaltEMike CIG really needs to put one live PU out and get it somewhat stable, have a small team to keep it stable, then use the ptu to test items that need testing and only update the PU once a year or 2nd year, the other thing i see is people saying to others stop buying ships stop buying paints, end your subs, and CIG should stop putting out ship to sell, stop sellingg paints, stop selling everything if this is the main wish of everyone, marketing is very important, do all those really want CIG to fail and see everyone who has put money in lose everything, cause if everyone stops funding CIG then CIG funding stops and if funding stop how do they pay wages and everything.

    The PTU was always going to take around 15 years to make from the original kickstarter end date and SQ42 which would be made alongside it would take 10 years ish maybe. I backed in 2012 fully understanding this. What dont people underetand about how ambitious this game is?? RDR2 cost over $500million and was developed over 8 years.... So why are people expecting SC after only 11 years of dev time????

    I want components to be that way. If you damage your Shield Generator you can just pull it out and put another on in while in flight. Right now there is no way to get them from your Inventory to your cargo bay of your ship without blowing up your ship. I want to fly around with an extra in my cargo hold. Also there are the ships that are not gold standard and the ones that are have issue because the door way it too small or other issues where you can't put certain components back in. Fix this.

    in all my testing with master modes, shields have NOT come back instantly or faster if I've taken no damage. It's going to be interesting how they change QED with master modes but tbh I think they're gonna fuck it up and make piracy a million times harder.

      Bet they dont mind, most of the whales are miners or screenshot-queens anyway and they have been pissed at pvpers since day one, CIG needs the cash more than pvp content and this is a subtle way of making pvp hard without outright saying it...

      You mean like every single company in the world... in Publishers take ours cash to make more games. the difference is sthat out of 600M$ CIG does use it in full for development while Publishers will pick 50 or 80 to make a copy-paste of their past games, spend 100M$ in marketing and give the remaining to shareholders. For sure this is the best solution for consumer /S

You pay for a feature complete product at release or preorder, but you only pay 60 bucks once, what CIG does with ship sales is a continuous funding they try to sell with fomo tactics to people who already payed for the game package, completely different funding models.
      Also you can't just say publishers only make a rehash of their previous titles, there are always more original titles at all times than remakes or sequels, sure there are big titles like FIFA & CoD that are very similar to their previous release but with a face lift, but especially in the SC fanbase nobody could point a finger at somebody spending money at a game without getting much new gameplay for it...

      @@DerDrecksack87 I do not think specifically to Rosckstar which is one of the best studio compared to EA or Ubisoft. Yes you pay 60$ but for a product without ambition (excluding Rockstar).
      They make billions $ out of them but don't even try to push limits. Clearly Bestesda could have made a full SC clone with ALL gameplay and Server Meshing if only they care about players... But no. Better take Fallout 4, change skins, add an average ship battle on top of the cake.
      Adding a few new maps on major FPS or new weapons does not make them ambitious.. at all.
      Backers do join SC because the unique experience it provides, despite being in alpha missing core tech and all gameplay. Those backers don't care about CR but do find with SC something they can't find elsewhere, true in alpha and even more true in a year or two with server meshing implemened, new gameplay and new system.

      @@vinct7023 i mean they do push limits sometimes when there is enough demand for it or something has become stale from a gameplay perspective.
      RDR2 has one of the best open world scenarios with very good weather systems, flora & fauna, graphics and NPC interactions, Dead Space Remake added a bunch of story & they remade the entire game not just reskinned it + it has the best looking graphics in any game i have seen until now, Star Trek online adds new stories & chapters even after 13 years since release and so on, so many if not most publishers do have ambition and yes they also have a cashcow that is less inspired to keep the lights on, but even then they deliver a polished game, just look at damn CoD, say what you want but every CoD is smooth & ready to play day one.
      Starfield is awesome, i am 70hrs in and it just gets better, did the loading screens & no free flight in atmosphere hurt the immersion? Yes a little bit, but it also cut down on timesinks in a singleplayer, remember that in Starfield you have more than one meager star system, imagine if you had to QT from planet to planet to reach a wormhole, jump & repeat it a dozen times to reach the far end of the galaxy to do a fetch quest...nah i did it in Freelancer and it loses its novelty pretty fast, i get it in a multiplayer but it would be just too tedious with so many planets.
      I also disagree with it being FO4 in space, you can sure play it like that, but you also have those SC moments when exploring or having a random encounter and so on, it looks really good and some planets outright feel better than in SC especially the hand crafted enviroments.

    Do they even stimulate mass? Doesn't seem like they do in the ways where mass is defined like inertia and gravity. Collision spikes aside, who cares if the tonk has millions of kilograms of mass if it flies around like a paperbag when you drive it.

    I am starting to think they are deliberately dragging this out. Hell I am working on a number of work projects where I am conscious of my cost to serve is part of each project so I have a timescsle for delivery.
    This is only as good as the money comes rolling in.

    If upper management would actually be good everything would feel coherent between the development groups.Running a company like your own private playground at this scal ealways leads to slow progress and low performance of the company. Imagine if SC actually had competition from another game, they would be bankrupt within 2 years.
