Thank you for presenting the point about requiring a good defense. A lightbulb went off in my head when you said that and it made me understand the system so much more now. Learn something new every day. Also, yea, I find Linus likes to talk with high confidence about things he doesn't really understand, often. It comes off as "I have a big channel on UA-cam and a business; therefore, my opinions are worth more than you, the lowly viewer." It's like he forgets that while he's making videos about various topics, his viewers are professionals that work in those areas every day.
