Honestly, adding Jet was probably Season 6's only strong point. The producers probably knew overhauling the gameplay was gonna cause an uproar, so hiring Jet was probably their saving throw. To be fair, the banter between her and Neil did help to soften the blow. Also, wasn't this the season they dropped "Fantasy Rooms?" That'd be a shame since a huge opportunity was missed to have a "Jet's Gym/Workout Room" somewhere. Third point: When did the losing teams start having to repair the house at the end of the show?
The set had to be slightly redesigned as the original set used in Maidstone was too tall for the studio in Glasgow, as the production team discovered when they tried to reassemble it.
10:46 Whoaaaaaa!!!!!! It's like the kid on the left was a marine from the aliens film wasn't it, going into dangerous situations with the camera attached to his helmet, so the soldiers back at base could freak out when the marine's camera saw a xenomorph's snarling face up close before going to static!!!!!! :(
I quite liked this version of Finders Keepers but I did feel sometimes the presenters were helping their teams a little too much to the point where they were actually finding the objects for them
11:28 At first glance, the kids looked like cyborgs with wires running into their heads, with this shredded caps on their heads!!!! It was like the CITV bigwigs were perpetrating a shocking evil by transforming hundreds of children into mini-cyborgs in the name of scientific research! :(
Shame they removed the memory quiz. And the points scoring. By the way they cancelled it after this series because "It looked too much like Fun House."
This new Finders Keepers was a disaster. Gone was the fun little brain game Find & Keep, to be replaced with dull and seemingly endless garage raids, coupled with contestants dipping into grease and oil. For what? Headstarts? The headstarts also made these raids pretty much pointless. Having both teams tackle their own room raids made the game a nightmare to follow and the audience must surely have been exhausted from several minutes of cheering? I don’t know what they were playing at, but killing off the original idea that worked well to be replaced with an idea not well-thought really killed off an otherwise great show. Diane did an OK job, but that was it. At least the 2006 revival went back to it’s roots despite not quite recapturing the nostalgia of the original.
yeah ive never seen this revamp before as i was older by this point but loved the original but after leaving school this looked liked crap to watch bloody hell.
Man.. the garage game was really unneeded.. The format should have stayed the same, however both Diane and Neil would have both done the work together. If i had the general chance for redoing season 6 i would have this. The Garage: Rather than looking for items and the tools inside the garage. It would be a revamped version of the Find and Keep game, with each of them sitting down on sofas. Each team would then try to earn as many of the keys possible for the rooms. However in this version, the teams would be given a monitor each, within the pictures it would be split a 3x3 grid, Matt and Diane would give out clues for the teams and each team would buzz in to give the number of where their object is, getting it right would award the team 25 points and a choice of keys to any room they choose getting it wrong would allow the opposing team to steal the points and key. This is done twice from the first round and second round with the second round being worth 50 points. Mini sweeps: Same general rules for the mini sweeps, both teams open up access to their rooms and enter them. They would play the room raids as normal. Failing would give the opposing team the points. After both rounds, the winning team would take on the super sweep while the losing team gets to have to take on the oil slick for a small consolation prize. Oil Slick: The losing team would enter the garage, this time the car has been dragged away to reveal the oil pit. The team is given 60 seconds to find all the tools they need to find and place them back onto the tool box. Each one replaced is an additional item for the goody bag for the team finding everything will net them a generally nice prize. Super Raid: The rules are a little more tweaked for this version. The team would be given 3:30 on the clock to raid the house, they are given the 8 rooms to find the items and the keys which allow access to the prizes they can win. All 8 rooms raided in the time earns them the biggest prize.
Omg I had completely forgotten about this show. I wanted to be on this so badly!
me too and fun house too i wanted to be on
I loved this game show any peters was great
5:30 This was just pure madness. A good kind of madness, involving Diane Youdale, but still madness, nonetheless.

It’s jet from gladiators
Diane Youdale may have been unable to continue Gladiators but that doesn't stop her playing host to Finders Keepers
I don't know when this series of Finders Keepers was recorded, but the Wembley live events where Jet was injured were held from 11-14 April 1996.
21:27 This isn't how I imagined being in a bedroom with Diane Youdale would be. :(
HAHAAHAHA, isnt that the thought of every man though.

19:20 Did the kids with the cybernetic wires running into their heads say, "ASSIMILATION TIME?" :(
This was when the show Jumped the Shark as we Americans say.
Oh, us Brits know all about The Fonz and his water-skiing.
