Thank you for this video. I've never made a sweater of any kind. I tried this and it turned out great. You explained everything so well. I used #11 needles and 6 oz yarn. It is bulky and beautiful. I added more stictches to the sleeves to give it a fuller look. Turned out great! Next time I make one, I will make the front panels wider because I needed to add more ribbing so the sweater would fit my size. I wear a large or xlarge. It is diffenetely a great way to make a sweater and makes it easier to make different kinds of sweaters just from this easy technique. I always wanted to make a sweater but couldn't understand the pattern. Now I am able to understand a pattern better. Again, Thank you soooo much....Oh and I'm 80 years old. But a very young 80....ha!
One trick for those using this cast on method: if u loop the long tail around your needle until you have the same amount of loops as stitches you need to cast on with, then that long piece will be around the right length you need first try. Hope this helps :)
Thank you, so MUCH! This has been the most annoying part of knitting for me- I have never able to get the right length of yard- “until now” it was either way too long, or to short😱 This has worked out marvelously well. THX U!
Wow, I don't quite know how to thank you. You made it seem so attainable and relaxendand FUN! It made me actually try for the first time ever to make something else than just a scarf. I based my cardigan on yours and it has turned out so great! I'm obsessed with it and so proud of myself. Thank you for making the video and your whole attitude regarding knitting 😂 patterns are so overwhelming.
Thanks! Indeed all those patterns make me feel stressed and how you explained it all, calmed me down. I usually crochet and I' m going to give this a try now.
The cast on you're doing is called the long-tail cast on by the way and the "chains/loops" are cast-on stitches, nothing fancy :) Casting off looser makes the edging less tight when you seam, that's why its best not to cast off so tightly! And the curling on the edges is normal if you knit flat in stockinette stitch. Many people add some sort of border to prevent it, but like you said, once you seam it up it's totally fine and goes away
Just found you and will be making this for my daughter for work in a school, as she wears black alot, thanks for the video, I've been crocheting a lot so it'll be nice to finally knit something again. Also my first time with circular needles 🤞🏼
It'd be so fun if you did like a podcast type video, where you show what you've made, some stuff you're working on, projects you wanna make in the future, etc!
I love this sweater. I was going to ask how many balls of yarn to use and thought I’d check the comments to see if anyone else had the answer. I saw lots of comments asking questions that were not answered 😩so did not bother.
thank you for the tutorial, I finally finished mine, unfortunately, mine came out, kind of small, especially around where the arm stitching is, I use partial wool so I did soak and try to stretch it but it still turned out cute!
Sorry for commenting so much! If you hate seaming, I recommend finding cardigan patterns that don't require seaming. I've done "Lulea" by Amy Christoffers just without buttons
Do you possibly have links to the correct needles? I’ve only ever knit a scarf so I’ve never needed to use these kinds of needles, so I want to make sure I order the right thing. Also, what color/pattern yarn are you using? It’s so pretty! I know it’s the lion brand wool ease yarn but I can’t seem to find this same color anywhere.
Would have been nicer if you zoomed in more with each section of your work. And also provide written pattern showing other sizes as well … but read other reviews and saw that you didn’t respond anyway 😢

Such a cute UA-cam rec! I love knitting cute chunky sweaters. That yarn is like fairy floss!

Please do more knit tutorials, I needed this.

Very cute sweater! Thanks for the video, it’ll help a lot! Subscribed!

In total I’ve used about 4 balls of yarn!
What it call these strings for knitting needles? I would like to start to learn knitting. What set fir beginners would you recommend?
Thank you for this tutorial i appreciate it much. You a great teacher.

Sometimes you can add some crochet with the same wool to make it bigger. I do that when things turn out too small.
Very clearly explained thank you 😊

Howard many ștecher have you start the sweter and how did you made the calculation?
Really great tutorial! Thank you.
Love this
I am a beginner and this will be the first time attempting to make a sweater. How many yarn/wool rolls will I need to buy to complete this sweater ?
I love your necklace too and wow you’re talented! The sweater is so pretty! Love it 😍
Great video!your cardigan is lovely
Hi there, beautiful sweater. Would love to knit this up for my daughter for Xmas, can you tell me how many skeins of yarn this pattern requires? Much
It's a long tail cast on. To estimate how much "tail" I'll need to complete cast on, I'll wrap yarn around needle.. once for every stitch needed.
Hi I only have 80cm circular needles can I use those or do I need variable lengths?

Is the color of the yarn called carousel? I may have just found it.
Is there a pattern for this cardigan? I just found your site
What size would you say this sweater was and how balls of yarn did you use??
I think her sweater size is a small. It took me about 4 balls of yarn!
What size needle were do I get the pattern
how long did this take
How many yarn for S size please?
For a S size sweater, this took me about 4 balls of yarn!
Do have a pattern for this cardigan please
Hey! Where can I get this yarn from?
That is a cute sweater 🙃
For the needles, I assume you meant inches and not centimeters
Please more crochet tutorials
Could you share the pattern for a slight bigger size
more knit
I like crocheting and would prefer crocheting over knitting
Merhaba Türkçe altyazı ekleyebilirmisiniz lütfen ❤
What size needle
she said 8mm
I wonder why you've so less views
