Day 4 of asking you to Rebuild the New England Revolution. They set the record in 2021 for the best season in MLS history but have now quickly turned into the worst in the league . They’ve also been in the MLS since its first year but have never won the MLS cup
Great video as always! Watching these rebuilds has become somewhat of a little addiction of mine ever since I discovered this channel. Also, if you ever feel like taking a break from the top 5 leagues, it'd be really cool to see you try and rebuild Śląsk Wrocław from the Polish Ekstraklasa. The reason? Their fall from grace over the past year or so has been absolutely spectacular in the worst possible way - from 2023/24 season runners-up to dead last in the league right now, with 10 points and just 1 win in 18 games. Today, after a loss against Radomiak in a "6 point game", their relegation seems almost sealed - and I believe, there's just one person, who can save them...
Guido I don't think has any link with betis to my knowledge Luizao was a weird one tbf mate we brought him in as a youngster to try break into the first team but mainly for the u21s as of now Fullkrug has no real problem with us hes just homesick
2:37 in... "When it came to players VILLA was linked with".... Thought this was a hammers rebuild lol!!!. All in jest mate. I'm a hammers fan. Thanks for rebuilding us!
Jarrad, when David was not available did you try Tani Oluwaseyi from Minnesota, Ike Ugbo from Sheffield Wednesday or even Victor Loturi from Ross County (the last one formerly of my beloved Cavalry FC of the CPL)? Still Canadian, lovely young forwards/mids. Could have been some good loan prospects…they’re like instant noodles, gotta give them that hot water, wait 3 minutes…you get the rest.
Can you do a VfL Bochum rebuild? The Club is currently dead last in the Bundesliga with just 2 Points to their Name and nothing going right for the Club of the Town I was born. They might need the Mr. Rebuild Magic.
Hi mate, hope you're well - is there any possibility to rebuild my local club: Rosenborg BK? They've been in the CL many times, and used to be a quality name in the CL, playing against the likes of Chelsea (even was the reason Mourinho got fired in 2006) and Arsenal - but they've had a fall from grace in recent years. After a few years, we are finally starting to go the right direction again though, with our new manager and young stars like Nypan (liked to a transfer to basically every top club) and Broholm. Would make for quite the adventure!
Hey Jarrad, Scunny fan here, love the vid Wondering if you could do a Scunthorpe United rebuild, either as a retro rebuild or as a create a club/modded career mode on FC 25. Will provide more details below if you’re interested
Long story short we were ran into heavy debts by our owner trying to get us back to the championship, purged of all our best players, got taken over by a convicted fraud who lied on the fit and proper test, nearly got kicked out of our stadium, nearly went bankrupt twice, got saved by a GoFundMe, we are still in debt and still owe wages to former players and managers, and we are down in national league north now having been thriving in the championship back at the start of the 2010s. We are top of the league, but other teams have games in hand on us and we’ve been in a recent slump due to individual mistakes and our manager being a bit clueless
If you do a retro rebuild, 2016/17 was when we were at our best, 21/22 was the last time we were on fifa. If you do a modded or create a club career mode with our modern day squad, I’ll list them in a below message
Formation = 5212 We would be better suited to a 4222 imo but our manager seems to be set on his failing ways, always playing long balls GK - Ross Fitzsimmons Such a good kicker of the ball and a pretty good shotstopper. Had to cover for individuals in our defence so much this season, but he is prone to the occasional error, whether that be the ball slipping past him or him trying to do too much with ball at feet. Still up there for POTY so far for us RCB - Will Evans He’s better in the middle of the 3 CBs, but a lack of CB depth and the form of others has necessitated him to push to the right. The best of our CBs, brilliant long passing range and fairly versatile. However he has had a bad habit recently of selling Fitzsimmons short with back passes which has cost us a couple of times. Currently injured with a hamstring problem. CCB - Andrew Boyce A veteran in his 2nd spell with the club. Has absolutely no pace and is a typical ‘If in doubt kick it out’ defender, but he’s been a lot more solid than most of our players recently. Usually a sub, but recently back into the XI due to other players underperforming. Very tall, emergency ST when we play long balls in need of a goal. LCB - Brad Nicholson Very inconsistent throughout games, very strong and good in the air but almost seems lazy at times. Has an amazing long throw, can transition into being a LB RWB = Ross Barrows Had an up and down season, but solidified it with a few good performances in a row recently. Decent all around, was often lacking ambition with his passes early in the season RCM = Michael Clunan I really wasn’t a fan of him last season, but he’s been for me our POTY so far. Working a lot harder, getting a lot better with his tackling, marshalling the defence, solid passing, solid covering in defence. Club captain LCM - Alfie Beestin Been with us through our relegations, had a career ruined by injuries. Was a CM in last years, got moved to LW last season, started this season as a ST and is now changing positions pretty much every week. Very good dribbler but not the most accurate with his passing or shooting. LWB = Tyler Denton Really inconsistent player. I like him, but every time he gets the ball you never know what he’s going to do with it. Sometimes he’ll fire in a brilliant cross to give a ST a tap in, sometimes he’ll knock it out for a throw. Lacks positional awareness, but overall I still like him on his day. CAM - Callum Roberts The most talented player in the team by far, but he has some major issues. 2 which don’t go well together are that he takes a bit to get into the game, and he doesn’t have the stamina to keep up a good performance beyond 70 mins, which really gives him about a 40-50 min period where you have to get the most out of him. Amazing dribbler and passer, good long shots, our only creative player in the final third. Has a bit of an attitude problem too and is on ridiculous wages for our level. RST - Danny Whitehall Currently injured, but probably our only reliable ST this season. Not the quickest or the greatest at linkup play, but a good finisher who’s decently tall and above all is a shithouse. Think Diego Costa. LST - Mark Beck Seems to have literally been signed as a target man to lump long balls up to. He’s been doing the best he can, but it’s so hard to judge him when his entire role is to jump and win a header
Bench: (only 5 subs at our level) Maxime Kouogun - CB Started most of the season, but after the first couple of games he just seemed to lose all ability. Both preseasons he’s had with us he’s looked very off the pace, and I almost wonder if he’s stopped trying now full stop, as he’s been playing like he does in preseason. Way off the pace, can’t pass, can’t tackle, can’t mark. He had a free header 5 yards out yesterday and headed the ball backwards. Embarrassing Michael Kelly - LWB Very solid backup option, he’s more consistent than Denton but not as good, especially defensively. Crossing is his best trait, but defending 1 on 1 he gets beaten so easily, and his marking isn’t great. Kian Scales - CM He was so good for us last season and early in this season. However ever since he was given a new contract he’s dropped off. Can’t pass, can’t dribble, can’t shoot, decision making has been terrible, tackling seemed off. His work rate is still there, and I will be fair by saying he’s used too far forwards. Our formation is so negative that we struggle for numbers in attack sometimes, so he effectively becomes the CAM and he looks so unnatural in the attacking third. He’s more of a Kante type of player, but he should still not be dropping off to the extent he has been. Max Brogan - CM Unlucky to not be starting, looks good every time he plays. Workhorse, powerful midfielder. Alright shooting, decent when covering defensively, but his strengths are his energy and his progression of the ball. Carlton Ubaezuonu (pronounced Ew-bur-zar-new) - ST He should 100% play on the right side of the attack, but our clueless manager keeps playing him on the left. He has no left foot and while playing on this side everything seems to fall on his left. Between this, injury and suspension, he hasn’t really hit it off this season so far, but you can see the ability is there. Very fast and determined player, but his finishing needs some work.
Rest of the squad: Mason Campbell - GK Very capable backup GK, almost certainly good enough to start at this level but he’s not on the level of Fitzsimmons, primarily due to the difference in their kicking abilities. Jason Law - LWB Winger by trait, made into a LWB to fit the formation instead of actually playing a formation which suits him. Currently injured, 3rd choice, no left foot, expendable. Fast and decent at crossing, but tbh he’s just a waste of wages right now Joe Rowley - CM A very average player from what I’ve seen so far. Not bad at all although his first touch isn’t great. Barely gets any gametime as he simply isn’t better than the options ahead of him Williams - CAM A former player who we recently re-signed from the Icelandic league. Haven’t been able to see much of him as he isn’t fully fit, but still seems to have the raw ability to be great at this level. Pace definitely used to be his strongest point, not sure now though. Will Harris - ST Another target man ST we recently signed, this time in a loan swap. He’s got no goals this season, seems a useless signing. Out on loan: Finley Shrimpton - CDM I really like Finley (academy product) and I think he’s good enough to play for us, but with the system we play we can’t really afford to start someone as defensive minded as him unless they play CB. Energetic, powerful, decently strong, alright at passing. Sam Fishburn - ST Part of the Harris loan swap, gone to the same club as Shrimpton. Young tall ST who is so uncoordinated. Seems he doesn’t know what to do with his feet or his body, and isn’t ready for the physicality of the league. Likeable guy but not ready for this level.
