Bark mulch just like using small rocks or lava rock is a waste of time. It's a mess. Trying to blow leaves or needles off of it only scatters it everywhere.
You're better off going beyond the F350's manufacturer's recommended towing capacity by towing a full mulch blower than towing with the f550. While you might wear your truck out, it's technically legal, athough there's the risk of enhanced civil liability in an accident in either case. With towing with the f550, you're risking jail time for driving that combination without a CDL. You do need DOT numbers and a medical card with any combination over 10,000 pounds rated. In my state, specialized trailers with an engine, like a chipper, if it's under 10,000 pounds doesn't require a plate, so it might be legal, assuming the 14k rated is less than 10k curb weight. Also, most people don't know this, but you can legally put a 10k rated trailer behind a 26k rated truck and be under CDL. The general principles is the truck itself can never be rated over 26k, and the combination either has to stay below 26k, in which case you can theoretically do a 16k trailer with a 10k truck, or you can go over 26k if the truck itself is under 26k and the trailer is under 10k. The DOT (Department of Tyranny) and the CDL rule is the enemy of everyone.
I always run full throttle. When I rented the little one I had to run the conveyor at the lowest speed throttle at full speed. It still clogged. This 5 yd blower had that plate welded in there to keep it from accepting too much mulch. I bought triple shredded to make it run smoother. That little one made me want to pull my hair out. rotten little bastard.
@@precisionfilms3777 gad dang I don’t charge enough!! I’ve been charging $390 for 8 yards of mulch (to buy and spread) . That’s 4 scoops loaded by a 4 yard bucket. (I think that’s right) $40 per scoop.
I have owned a two yard version for five years and it only clogged once. You only want to keep it half full. If you overload it it clogs.

The black hose is supposed to be the first hose on the machine.
I figured that out later on. The rental people were not very helpful

I've been towing everything with my f450 and f550. Just sending it.

How much money did you end up making at the end of the day
Looks like I made somewhere around $2500 in one day.
WOW ‼️‼️‼️
They only clog if conveyor speed is to high or throttle is to low. Learning curve
