There are two pools, waterslides (must be 48" to slide), private cabanas, on-site dining, bike rentals, fire pits, a Shortboard Kids Club, and a spa. I’m stuck between this property or Waldorf Astoria monarch beach. Any suggestions? Waldorf Astoria likes nicer but this Hilton property is cool because it’s right across from the ocean.
Tough choice, completely 2 different areas. We have never stayed at the Waldorf, but have been to the property and Laguna, Matt played golf there once at the Monarch. Waldorf is an amazing property and near Laguna and Dana Point which are beautiful and have great beaches. Laguna is quieter and more higher end than HB, if you know what I mean. Also, you will have to drive everywhere from that property. Hilton and the surrounding area is a little more lively and everything is walkable. Just depends on if you want quiet and more luxurious vibe or more lively with dining options, bars, and shops within walking distance. If you stay at the Waldorf, check out "1000 steps beach" nearby! Hope this helps.

I see what you are saying about the Waldorf Astoria being a bit more private and not having the luxury of waking across the street to the beach like at the HB Hilton. I think you helped me narrow down my decision to the Waldorf! I love thousand steps! This is actually a staycation for my wife and my anniversary. We live in Orange County so not far 😊

I have a question if our room is im the huntington tower can we go to both of the pools for free? The one with waterslides..
Yes! It doesn’t matter which tower you stay in, you get full use of the hotel.

for the summer months I would book 6 months in advance.
