札幌ホワイトイルミネーション
日本で最初のイルミネーションとして、1981年に始まった冬の札幌風物詩として定着した「さっぽろホワイトイルミネーション」。今回で42回目を迎え、大通会場では大小さまざまなシンボルオブジェが光の芸術としてきらめきます。
そのほか南北には札幌駅前通・北3条広場（アカプラ）や札幌駅南口を会場に、東西には南一条通を会場に立木装飾が街を彩ります。
ミュンヘン・クリスマス市
ドイツ・ミュンヘンと札幌の姉妹都市提携30周年を記念して2002年から開催されている「ミュンヘン・クリスマス市 in Sapporo」。大通公園に約1カ月間、クリスマス雑貨、ホットワイン、ドイツ料理などの屋台が並び、クリスマス気分を満喫できます。
同会場で始まる「さっぽろホワイトイルミネーション」との光の競演も素晴らしく、クリスマス・シーズンには欠かせない風物詩となりました。
Sapporo White Illumination
Sapporo White Illumination," the first illumination in Japan, started in 1981 and has become an established wintertime tradition in Sapporo. Now in its 42nd year, the Odori site will be illuminated with symbolic objets d'art of various sizes.
In addition, standing tree decorations will color the city from north to south at Sapporo Ekimae Dori, Kita 3-jo Hiroba (Akapura) and Sapporo Station South Exit, and from east to west at Minami Ichijo Dori.
Munich Christmas Market
The "Munich Christmas Market in Sapporo" has been held since 2002 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the sister city affiliation between Munich, Germany and Sapporo. For about a month, Odori Park is lined with stalls selling Christmas goods, hot wine, German food, etc., allowing visitors to fully enjoy the Christmas spirit.
The "Sapporo White Illumination" that starts at the same venue also provides a wonderful light show, and has become an indispensable tradition during the Christmas season.
