A Trip to Salalah by Road

Salalah is the capital of Dhofar, the southern region of Oman. It is a city set amongst coconut groves and banana plantations, sprawled along sandy beaches that run the length of its plain. Salalah is the capital of Dhofar, the southern region of Oman.
Salalah has a tropical climate with high humidity throughout the year. The city receives most of its rainfall during the Khareef season, which lasts from June to September. During this time, the landscape of Salalah turns lush green, and the temperatures are cooler than the rest of the year.
