Our bike group rides it a few times a year, very nice ride. Hopefully it will be extended to Birdwood at some stage soon. If you follow the dirt road for about 1km you get to the Mt Torrens oval where there are toilets.
I love your "wings"! Cycling takes my mind away from my problems. Some days I feel like I could ride forever. Only other thing that does that is scuba diving. Everything feels great when I'm underwater. I occasionally cycle with my tank to my favourite swimming spot and combine the two. It's a workout and it might look goofy to some but it's wicked fun.
Fun!! 😃 I'm not confident in the water, and always fascinated by people who spend time going into the deep dark mysterious under water world, it's a whole different world!! 🌊🐠🐡🐟
Oooh yes, I heard about the bakery but didn't get a chance to check it out! will do that next week when I'm up there filming again 😁 and I highly recommend the tyre swing, wasn't sure if the rope was going to hold, but all good! lots of fun! 🚴♂️🚴
It's a really great bikeway. It weaves in and out of scenic country & is separate to the cars. My only "gripe" is the requirement that Bikes giveaway to driveway cars who have to give way to cars but not to bikes. In harvesting season this makes the pathway a "stop-go-stop" scenario.
Yes, it is very stop-go-stop, it's not like the Coast to Vines where you can ride freely without having to think about crossing roads etc.. but a great bikeway other than that, I really enjoyed it 😁🚴🚴♂️
Really cool video, When i cycle on bike paths it's so much more relaxing than the road, you can really just switch off and take in all the scenery, when im on the road your always in code red, im thinking about someone crashing into the back of me while their on the phone texting, Im enjoying blue sky's and 27°c weather ☀️🌡️😎
Oooh so envious of your warm weather! 🌞 Yep, It's definitely a different ride on the roads, necessary to get anywhere, but not relaxing at all! 🚴🛻🚴♂️🚗🚴♂️
Thanks for the video Serafina, this is another bikeway i have been meaning to ride. Just a shame it ends at a dirt road and not in Mt Torrens itself. I did read somewhere that they would like to extend it further to Mt Pleasant and may even up to Angaston in the future to join it to the Nuriootpa to Angaston Rail Tail and the Jack Bobridge Track and go down to Gawler (which is another one i have looked at doing). But somehow doubt the is likely to happen anytime soon.
Hi Grant 😃 that would be amazing if it was extended further through the hills, at least to Mt Torrens, as you said. It's a great bike path, and beautiful cycling up in the hills, not worrying about traffic 🚗🚴😁
.a dedicated bike bath which is real long through the country. They may exist, but prob like unicorns.. nothing like that in the city’s or near them The closest I’ve found is paths running adjacent to motorways, or canals which is horrible or pack full or people and rough terrain.. there is a national cycle network, but yours seem far better, yours has chocolate
You made me laugh! ours have chocolate 🍫 🥳 exactly!! 😁 we are very lucky here, so many options for riding off the road, it's a brilliant idea turning the old rail trails into bike paths, hopefully we see more and more of it 😃🚴🚴♂️
Yes, finally!! 🥳 😃 I still need recovery time, and have to plan around that. So at the moment it's one good ride a week (other than small 'commuting' rides daily) plus all the filming & editing (which is also very exhausting) but I'm able to do more and more, no brain fog (yay) and no fatigue like I used to get (yay yay!). How are you doing now?
@@CyclewithSerafina I still get tired every so often .. it is what it is but it’s only temporary, so you take a break and enjoy the rest of the day. I assume it’s long covid… or maybe I’m just tired

Oh that's great to know, thanks Kym 😃 I'll pin this comment so others can see it 🚽🚻

Well done guys, you've convinced me to have a crack at the Amy Gillet. The chocolate and bakery stops just clinched the deal.
Awesome! 🥳 You're going to love it! 💓🚴🍫
It’s fantastic that you show us these amazing videos thank you stay safe Serafina
Thanks Rob 💓 and thanks for always watching! 🙏😁🚴♂️
Thanks for the upload of the bike way. I ride the bike way all the time to the bakery ps the tyre swing always looks tempting.

Nope the turnstile is a formerly Adelaide Oval Members area turnstile. But good guess.
Oh wow! that's another amazing piece of South Australian history, thanks for sharing! 😃
Your long Covid looks like it’s getting better ❤️🩹
