I was fortunate enough to be at this concert and this was definitely the highlight for me. While I didn't know the history of the song at the time, I remembered it as part of the last song on Off The Ground and it was part of the fade out at the end of the album. In other words, a super obscure song that only a diehard McCartney fan would recognize and I truly got tingles down my spine when I realized what song it was. To my knowledge, this is the only time Macca has played this live. I only wish he would do more of this kind of thing as part of his concerts - he has dozens and dozens of these nuggets that are more than worthy. Paul, if you're reading this send me a note and we can discuss! You are the man.
Hello Paul if you are reading this I'm 11 years old and I really appreciate and love your mucic I just wanted to say just keep doing what your doing because you are amazing at it ☺💙
Thank you Bree for being such a nice person, and letting the hole world know what you feel about Paul and his wonderful music.......I just wanted to let you know Bree that I really appreciated reading your message since I also have loved his music (and all the other Beatle`s (here on this occasion he and Ringo is really creating a very special moment right)), from I was your age........
@@motoe948 Well, this was 2009 and he doesn't quite sound the same any more, but does anyone when they reach 78? I always love they way he sings whether he sounds perfect or not - he's Paul f'ing McCartney, by God! Ha ha.
Brilliant for an "old man." His phrasing and inflections and control are amazing. He was 68 at the time? Almost no human could do that ... match that level of professional quality vocal AND instrument performance at that age. Very, very few.
This is simply incredible.............You have the Beatles and then all the "others".....and the "others" knows it ......just look at Mike Love, Eddie Vedder, Ben Harper, Sheryl Crow, Angelo Badalamenti, Bettye LaVette, the Hartford TM Choir, Donovan, Jim James, and McCartney`s drummers how they can`t believe that they are being a humble part of Starr/McCartney Magic Moments ..............INCREDIBLE to see how well Ringo plays on this one and how he along with Paul captures the spirit of the moment...................Historical and Pure Magic.........
That moment when you see Ringo and Paul together, get excited that they might go on a reunion tour together, and then look at the description and realize this was filmed in 2009 :(
Mrs. Featherbottom I didn't say I want them to tour as The Beatles, I just think it would be nice for them to tour as friends. I'd appreciate any kind of reunion tour.
If only... What I done. Sometimes i take the live albums/recordings of The Beatles during their solo years, arrange em around on a playlist and boom Beatles reunion concert. (Yeah it's not so great I guess). Bonus points for concerts where 2 Beatles appear. (Ie Prince's Trust, and Ringo's 70th bday concert)
Why on earth didn't' the Beatles want to do this at the time? I soooooooooooooooooo want to hear George's slide guitar riffs, backings, and lead on this one!
"Cosmically Conscious" Sir Paul McCartney gives us the ultimate reason to love one another like we should. There is an 11 year old fan named Bree who has excellent taste in music. Keep on commenting little angel, because your opinion matters to us.Blessings.♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Not a great known song by Paul and still it has the amazing property of driving people to sing along like a famous hymn. And only with three lines! That's a superb composer and lyricist!
The "oooooh la la la" backup singing line and chord progression are directly from "You Won't See Me." :-)

WOW ... One of Paul's lesser known songs but like everything Paul does, Brilliant!!!

Paul's voice sounded really good here
Always does!

Always is nice to see a Paul and Ringo together!! Thank you guys! The Beatles forever!
"All Things MUST Pass" - George Harrison
Sir Paul and Sir Ringo have the Galaxy Tour of our planet on their "to do" list.Thank you so much.

2 lines in this song, but it's really good. Paul McCartney can do that!
even with 1000 years of age Paul would be one of the outstanding musicians.
More life in the musical creativity is not possible.

I saw the show at the Radio City, April 2009. Impossible not to cry. It's such a joy!

TheComedyClownfish would you seriously appreciate if Paul and Ringo did a "reunion tour" under the name Beatles in 2017?
Mrs. Featherbottom I didn't say I want them to tour as The Beatles, I just think it would be nice for them to tour as friends. I'd appreciate any kind of reunion tour.
I did the same 💔

Great song from Off The Ground: The Complete Works. Very little known song too.
LNERFlyingScotsman wish they'd release that 2nd cd officially its so rare
I never in a million years would have imagined him playing this live. How am I just now finding this ?
Written in The Beatles days, when in India with Donovan, Beach Boys, etc.
@@andyallan2909 It looks like Mike Love and Donovan are singing backup!
Great seeing Paul & Ringo playing together!!!
So cool that this exists. I wish he’d revisit more of his solo material.
Such a joy to see you and your friends sharing the message from the great Maharishi, he gave you a gift for life , you are truely blessed ........
It's a mantra! Beautiful!
Love you Paul ❤️❤️❤️ you are the best 😘 love from Brazil 🇧🇷❤️
This is undeniably the sound of The Beatles.
Paul WAS the true sound of The Beatles. Almost all details that made the band famous and significant, were coined by Paul.
I mean its a song written in 1968 and Ringo is playing the drums, of course it’s gonna sound like The Beatles
Dear god, what did we do to deserve such Beautiful men like Paul and Ringo ❤❤❤
Ringo STILL fucking rocks on drums.
Paul and Ringo my two favorites. Such a beautiful song
Oh boy. Heating that slide guitar made me think of George.💔
Paul. I love this tune. Sounds amazing live
Beautiful song! How did I miss this one? Feels like it was written lifetimes ago 💜
It's a rare song from Off The Ground "Complete Works"
He wrote in the 60s, theres a demo version with the beatles of this song 💚
@@notre.damned yeah, down the maharishi days in India
Paul wrote this in 1968 in India. It didn't make the cut for The White Album. Latter released on Paul's Off The Ground album.
Amazing song....
I love Ringo’s drumming!!
Such a joy❤️
Undoubtedly the greatest song writer of all time. A huge influence in my life thank you Paul

fantastic as always Paul!!!! The pictures in India were taken by my dear friend Paul Saltzman
Really? Saltzman from the Bond films production team?
@@osamabinladen824 No, Paul Saltzman was a Canadian kid who found himself at the ashram with The Beatles.
I love The Beatles, thanks for all the songs.
Te amo Paul :) Saludos desde México🎆😚 :)
me, too, a bunch!
Love the little wink to "You Won't See Me" with the "Ooooh lalala" :P
Seeing clips like this make me so bummed I'll never get to have a chat with Paul before I'm gone. :(
just read this started life in the beatles and was left for 20 years. one of many great non album tracks.

Paul And RINGO!!!!! FOREVER,,,,, RIP GEORGE,JOHN, YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED!!!!!!!!! THIS IS SO SADDDDD ITS JUST THE TWO THATS LEFT😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Great eq on the drums
Cosmically Conscious and Hope for the Future use the same verse chords. There must be something 'galactic' for Paul about that progression.
I think he uses the same sound effect in both CC and HFTF (studio versions). A 'comet' sound effect, if that makes any sense.
I loved that LP all those years ago. Then in 1997 Paul finished one of John songs Yoko found
when you write hundreds of songs you run out of chord progressions but nobody else is as prolific or successful.
So catchy.
Yeah but what about the new album?

7 th september 2018 will be released
i think he knows that by know he commented 10 months ago genius
It is amazing!
Gotta be a fuckin hit. So ethereal. Congratulations, Sir Paul. Absolutely amazing!!!

Lovely song and message
such a joy!! Thanks, Paul!!!!... for your music and your smile :)
He's a legend
Beatiful 😍💖
VHP: Very Handsome guy Paul!
Ringo too!!
So really the first one to come up with this chord progression is Paul and later John and George with "Nobody Loves You" and "Isn't it a Pity"
Actually Isn't It A Pity was written by George in 1966...!
Let's do one better: the intro for "Eight Days A Week". B-)
Try "Ang Huling El Bimbo" by the Filipino band, Eraserheads.
@@moldefan3544 Fuck me you’re right!!
@Gary Snow You're also right. Donovan used those chords in "Atlantis". Popular chord progression this!
Thank you Paul 💖💖

Wow, wasn't this track an easter egg from the off the ground album ?
I found it on the "Off the Ground" cd single.
zappator it is a short track at the end of como on people .. like her majesty and the Abbey road medley
Yes
There was a full version released as a b-side in 1993.
