    Awesome video, we live off-grid in Southern Alabama and we have the E2000LFP and the Pecron 1000 e for our power source, very reliable products. We have 6000 watts of solar, which is way more then we use in a day, but we have it for future plans. I do have to run the generator to transfer water from the well to our storage tanks. We cook on propane, which also runs on demand hot water heater, and our mini split AC unit. It's not perfect, but we live debt free with no mortgage, no utility bills...

    I've studied this market quite a bit, including buying several commercial units and building one myself, from components. To my way of thinking, this exact model from Pecron really hits the sweet spot as far as portable power stations go, because it has a reasonably powerful inverter, a good amount of battery storage capacity, and allows for a lot of solar input, all while not weighing too much for the size package it is. It really strikes the right balance.

    I really like my e2000lfp. I use it to run a chest freezer and my fridge and some lights for when the power goes out. One suggestion, if you notice on the panel on the tailgate, the flap is covering part of the panel. ANY shading of any part of a section can kill the output of that section, so you are probably losing 25% of that panel just there.

    Hey old man, first, decent choice of power station, but don’t keep it in the direct sunlight and if you do, at least put it on a board or table to keep dust from getting into the unit. When the cooling fans run whatever is floating around will get sucked thru and potentially create problems down the road. I myself have the 2000 with the 2 battery setup and have been pleased with its performance thus far. Pump 1300 watts of solar into it and charge time is significantly less. Thanks for posting.

    2000 watts isn't a lot, so you may find that you will still not have enough power to do all that you want. You may want to ask Al & Gina to boost the unit overnight from their massive solar system supply. The price is very good for that size, but not sure that I would rely on gear coming from that country.

    • @clarencewiles963
      @clarencewiles963 Рік тому

      The 2000 watts is the base and not the surge watts (4000) for the system. Take a look at @HOBOTECH he did about 8 months ago. It has a LiFe20004 battery 🔋

    • @jasonbroom7147
      @jasonbroom7147 Рік тому +6

      2000 watts is a lot, or it is very little, depending on what you're doing with it. This unit isn't meant to run every load in your house, but will run almost everything you would use on a build site. Also, they've been out for a while now and folks are reporting that they're very reliable. Have you used any portable power system, yourself?

      @rupe53 Рік тому

      @@jasonbroom7147 ... the interesting thing about this on a building site is the ability to maintain its internal battery during times of no use. The draw might be say 100 watts (intermittently) while charging tool batteries and maybe 1,000 watts with the compressor running, but all of those things basically run in short cycles with the balance of the solar power charging the system, that could (in theory) power everything for a few hours without any solar input. Basically you almost always have another 2,000 watts in storage that's constantly being topped up. My personal feeling is that it's not really enough to keep after a man lift, which might need 1,000 watts for more than 2 hours to reach full charge.
