Streets of rage 3 has the most underrated music!
It's because most people doesn't have the musical taste required to appreciate the masterpiece this ost is. Most of them like easy to hear stuff and can't deal with this amount of madness and genius
@@OmegaBassArg Agreed. It matches the game story. Just like with the first 2 games of Silent Hill, it matches the dark / uneasy tone. SOR3's music goes with it's atmosphere

2:14 I never grew up with Streets of Rage, but these three notes kinda made me fall in love with it going into my 20s. Both musically and as a cult classic, this bassline nails it.

SoR 2 soundtrack is far better than 3
Hmm... while you are right, I love SoR3's because it's robotic and unnatural. It fits perfectly with the dark and grim theme. Robots play a big role in the story too!
@@bowiemaxplayer28 Well, Streets of Rage 2 followed the formula of the first (although it added a couple of robots in the last stages). Sega thought it would be interesting to explore this theme, but it didn't work out very well and the SoR3 audience ended up not liking the game very much. It sold much less than the second. Apart from the notable neglect that ancient had in relation to the game's scenarios compared to 2. ugly, poorly distributed colors, extreme censorship between versions and the ost that left something to be desired, despite the fact that I liked some of the songs. The only advantages I see of SoR3 over SoR2 are the return of alternative endings, the return of holes in the ground, faster characters, being able to run and roll around the screen and the reward system with stars.
@@SonGokuBlack93 Yeah, the American version was awful.. it was too difficult and censored a lot of things. Bare Knuckle III is far superior. The stages were a big problem to me because the felt lackluster and boring....
Don't think so. You may say you like SoR 2 ost more than this and that's understandable. I like this better, for example. This kind of music transports me to places SoR2 doesn't. This places me in the strange, dystopian future that the game is set on. And also its way more energetic, hearing some of this stuff pumps pure adrenaline and sets me in the mood of kicking some ass
