I really appreciate this man. I'm gonna be real here, I strayed away from God for a while and I'm struggling to get back to Him. I know I'm saved, I remember clearly the day I was saved and the change that the Holy Spirit had in me, I've just really been away from Him for a while. I've been doing better, praying more, reading my Bible more, staying in church, and stuff like that, but I still struggle. You're doing all the right things my friend. Let God fulfill his work in you. He is training you in these disciplines. Remember, above all else, God desires relationship. We are ALL saved by grace. Even when you fall, get up and go back to Him. He is your loving father, always waiting with arms wide open. It only feels hard to go back to him when you forget how loving and gracious he is. Jesus had no problem sitting amongst the sinners, when all the Pharisees would not dare to be seen with them. God IS there even when you feel like you've strayed so far away, he is still only one prayer away. Romans 8:1 "There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." Romans 8:28 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Fun Story, I once was not being the best I could be and met up with someone I was somewhat interested in, anyway when temptation hit, I took a step back. On his counter he had a daily devotional book, so I open it, and I kid you not, the verse of the day was Song of Solomon 8:4, which reads "Do not arouse or awaken love before it so desires" and the writer went on to speak about sexual immorality. Anyway, heart filled with conviction, I left, and on my long drive back I remembered the verse that It is the goodness of God that brings us to repentance. In that moment, though I was in midst of my sin, God laid out a gentle reminder of who I am in Him, and it was enough to stop me in my tracks. Along that drive, I felt like God had loved me enough to save me from myself in that moment, and I repented. So yeah, God is good, worthy of praise and we ought to all remember that the cultural standards of this day and age don't negate the biblical standards God has for us. Edit: grammar Edit: Thanks for reminding us, especially as young Christians to continue to trust God especially in this area of our lives.

I've literally just fallen into this sin again & all of a sudden, out pops this video in my feed. And I don't think this is a coincidence anymore, that I keep getting these specific videos when I fall into this sin (Yes this has happened before).

Thank you for much needed verses. Verses I needed to hear! 1 Corinthians 10:13 has already become my favorite verse now. I struggle with temptations and, hate to admit to admit it, I give into them when I know they're wrong. I wanna get myself back on the path of the kind of woman God sees me. I know words don't mean much, but I should show it through my actions. To break free of the lust and desires that waver my soul.
I hope someone who is struggling sees this but what has helped me is just focussing entirely on the Lord, and also developing such a relationship with Him that you turn to Him and pray and talk to Him as soon as you feel the urges. I always think back to Peter walking on water and Jesus says to focus on Him. Don’t lose focus brothers. Focus on Him, don’t pray to overcome temptation first, but seek the kingdom first and all things will be given onto you.

I keep going on "crusades" to report sexual videos and posts. I keep trying to tell myself that apostle Paul has told us to flee instead of fight sexual immorality. It has taken a toll on my mental health, and I really want to stop. This video should be able to help me.
Its best to have conquered or at least have control over lust before marriage as lust will continue into the marriage and often create problems with the relationship.

You had blurred silhouettes of two women in bathing suits that were easy to see. As someone who is trying to limit the amount of lustful images in my life, even a blurred silhouette causes sinful thoughts to arise in my mind. I had some cool insight I wanted to share: in Song of Solomon 2:3 it compares the man to an apple tree. I think we're all familiar with the comparison of woman to white Lillies, meaning she is pure and innocent. but less familiar is the comparison of the man to an apple tree. in the forest a wild apple tree is much shorter among all the tall pine trees. he is humble. his leaves are soft not like needles. he provides sweet fruit like the fruits of the spirit. when you find an apple tree in the woods it is a sign of water as they are usually near a creek. a righteous man is planted near the living waters. 🙂

I have had a addiction to porn for 16 years. I have wanted to be free from it as long as I can. It steals joy from me. I want to be free even more now that I'm married. My wife knows. I used to think that dealibg with porn ends easily but then I started feeling lust and feeling aroused. When I found that I'm not the only one struggling and fighting with this. Thank God, I can see people through God's lens now, bc He loves them very much
Men are hyper-visual. Almost all of our sexual attraction comes in the form of what we see.. lingerie, bikinis, tight clothing in general or just plain old nudity. Women lust as well, but it seems they don't struggle with pornography or tempting visuals nearly as much. This is the reason porn traps so many men. Porn is the absolute extreme of visual stimulation.
How can i cut out feelings of rejection by jsut seeing a beautifull / sexual woman? I would love to cut other woman out, but woman and im hyperatracted to them. Only to get my mind off it sometimes, well you know.. I'm always losing this battle and hopeless, because i know i ll do it again.

So when you guys say you struggle with lust do you actually have very strong sexual desire’s or do you guys have a not so strong sexual desire. Because according to the definition of lust I have not done that very many many times in my life. I think I may be able to answer your question. For as long as I can remember I've had this issue, and it always includes some sort of depiction or image of violence/anger. there is always something in these fantasies and desires that include rage/violence, like forceful things (Im trying to be accurate without giving room for inappropriateness). and if you look at a lot of tv shows that have lust at the center, there is always anger or jealousy included.

Hey Isaac I love your videos and how they have helped my faith develop but I sadly still struggle with this. On a lighter note is there a study Bible you(or one of your subscribers) would recommend? Even after the guy (who is or was addicted to porn), settles down and marries a woman, he'll still battle with lust. This sin is incredibly hard to defeat.
i really don't get the design choices god made for us. i often say to myself "damn it would be so much better if we could just make our babies appear" because i hear way too often romanticized explaination of what sex is. to me, the sufferring outweights far too much the "pleasure". i believe what god created is magnificent but also really strange i do not know how to express myself in a clearer manner.
Its good to know that other people struggle with the same thoughts i have. I have came several times to a place of bitterness and hatred when it comes to why God created sexual desires the way He did and Im also of the opinion that the suffering that these desires bring far outweight the "pleassure" or reasoning.. Like im telling you, i have yet to hear anybody to make good, jusifyable sense behind the reason God would create sex the way He did in light of Him knowing the incredible amounts of evil, pain, misery, suffering, heart ache, quiet literally everthing bad, wrong and evil that you can find in pandoras box could have some sort of connection to our sexual design. Its like, I HATE when people say, "sex is a gift from God?", like i dont see that anywhere in the bible... it would be kind of a wild and strange "gift" you know? Something that powerful? Idk 🤷🏾♂️ For me to give something like that to man, especially with the knowledge of what it would do them and the destruction and suffering it would bring, it wouldnt be a gift but it would be because I had no other choice. Knowing that man would become incredibly evil and are decieved already into decreasing the population, imagine what man would do if sexual desire wasnt as powerful as God made it? What other way would God bring other human life into this world and how would it work out? When they come into being, who would raise them? And with that new way of coming into being, what would satan convince man to do about it? But with making sex as powerful as it is, knowing that satan will convince man to sin, why not let that be a sin that brings new life into the world in which life He will redeem? If God is willing to use other people's sin to sacrifice His Son to go through what He went to in order for His people to have life.... imagine what other sacrifice He's willing to make for that same reason?

I found a solution for lust too. I go to parties, have six rounds with two or three different women, and collapse into a blissful sleep. Problem solved!🤣
As an atheist, I can understand how being extremely lustful is bad. What bugs me however, is when Jesus preached how if you look at someone with loss, then you’ve committed adultery with them in your heart. You’re allowed to feel that way but that doesn’t mean you should act on your impulses all the time. Jesus is instituting thought crime.

You talk about lust so much. Are you sure you have actually broken free from it? To be quite frank, I'd much sooner have a lusty neighbour who stopped at lust than one who did not stop at just lust. You are young. Your hormones are raging. Live with lust. Jesus' lust/adultery claim is cruel to so many Christians who tie themselves into knots of anxiety over those words.

Its best to have conquered or at least have control over lust before marriage as lust will continue into the marriage and often create problems with the relationship.

You had blurred silhouettes of two women in bathing suits that were easy to see. As someone who is trying to limit the amount of lustful images in my life, even a blurred silhouette causes sinful thoughts to arise in my mind. Ultimately, please think of the content that you post and especially, discern if that content is sinful. All people should dress modestly to limit the eyes of their neighbors from wandering. I had some cool insight I wanted to share: in Song of Solomon 2:3 it compares the man to an apple tree. I think we're all familiar with the comparison of woman to white Lillies, meaning she is pure and innocent. but less familiar is the comparison of the man to an apple tree. in the forest a wild apple tree is much shorter among all the tall pine trees. he is humble. his leaves are soft not like needles. he provides sweet fruit like the fruits of the spirit. when you find an apple tree in the woods it is a sign of water as they are usually near a creek. a righteous man is planted near the living waters. 🙂

Do women struggle with lust similar to how men do?
Men are hyper-visual. Almost all of our sexual attraction comes in the form of what we see.. lingerie, bikinis, tight clothing in general or just plain old nudity. Women lust as well, but it seems they don't struggle with pornography or tempting visuals nearly as much. This is the reason porn traps so many men. Porn is the absolute extreme of visual stimulation.

I think I may be able to answer your question. For as long as I can remember I've had this issue, and it always includes some sort of depiction or image of violence/anger. there is always something in these fantasies and desires that include rage/violence, like forceful things (Im trying to be accurate without giving room for inappropriateness). and if you look at a lot of tv shows that have lust at the center, there is always anger or jealousy included.

i really don't get the design choices god made for us. i often say to myself "damn it would be so much better if we could just make our babies appear" because i hear way too often romanticized explaination of what sex is. to me, the sufferring outweights far too much the "pleasure". i believe what god created is magnificent but also really strange i do not know how to express myself in a clearer manner.
Its good to know that other people struggle with the same thoughts i have. I have came several times to a place of bitterness and hatred when it comes to why God created sexual desires the way He did and Im also of the opinion that the suffering that these desires bring far outweight the "pleassure" or reasoning..
Like im telling you, i have yet to hear anybody to make good, jusifyable sense behind the reason God would create sex the way He did in light of Him knowing the incredible amounts of evil, pain, misery, suffering, heart ache, quiet literally everthing bad, wrong and evil that you can find in pandoras box could have some sort of connection to our sexual design.
Its like, I HATE when people say, "sex is a gift from God?", like i dont see that anywhere in the bible... it would be kind of a wild and strange "gift" you know? Something that powerful? Idk 🤷🏾♂️
For me to give something like that to man, especially with the knowledge of what it would do them and the destruction and suffering it would bring, it wouldnt be a gift but it would be because I had no other choice.
Knowing that man would become incredibly evil and are decieved already into decreasing the population, imagine what man would do if sexual desire wasnt as powerful as God made it?
What other way would God bring other human life into this world and how would it work out? When they come into being, who would raise them? And with that new way of coming into being, what would satan convince man to do about it?
But with making sex as powerful as it is, knowing that satan will convince man to sin, why not let that be a sin that brings new life into the world in which life He will redeem?
If God is willing to use other people's sin to sacrifice His Son to go through what He went to in order for His people to have life.... imagine what other sacrifice He's willing to make for that same reason?

As an atheist, I can understand how being extremely lustful is bad. What bugs me however, is when Jesus preached how if you look at someone with loss, then you’ve committed adultery with them in your heart. You’re allowed to feel that way but that doesn’t mean you should act on your impulses all the time. Jesus is instituting thought crime.
For that specific issue, I would say its a very justified thought crime.
